At 420pm a man named Ramsey came in and looked surprised we were not seated so before even getting settled himself he seated us and gave us menus. Aside from that everything else was great. We ordered the Paneer Dry and the Lamb Chops with Garlic Naan. Food was delicious. For drinks we started with a couple beers and then went for a Long Island Ice Tea and Mojito. These were amazing drinks. One man came up to us and explained the LIT would be a bit longer because the person who makes bar drinks was still coming in and he wanted to make sure I got a good drink rather then just making it himself so that was nice of him. The hookah was real good too. We got two heads one was something Ramsey recommended with Skittles and the second was a Mango/Orange head. Both great. For the service, I can say this is one of the best places. From walking in to walking out Ramsey was a great server/host. He asked multiple times if we were okay and always came by to fix the hookah. He always had a smile on his face which made the vibe even better. Also played great music for us. We stayed for almost 3 hours. Overall the experience was great and will be coming back when back in London. Thanks Ramsey and team for a great experience!

I love the decor at the LV Lounge - tasteful monochrome is the theme throughout the bar, with contrasting hints is always a hit with me. The over-sized mirrors and decorative drinking glasses provide a warped sense of Alice In Wonderland style perspective while there... Especially after a few of their carefully crafted cocktails! Service is always top-notch here. I would say that this is the area that brings the majority of the repeat custom to this place. Friendly and welcoming, funny and sincere. Always fantastic. The little kid in me is always awakened when I am on the lower level to this place... THEY HAVE OLD-FASHIONED SWEETS DOWN THERE! Yup, Refreshers, Banana Skids, Love Hearts, Fizzers... It makes me want to go there right now, for that alone. The LV Lounge has food delivery arrangements with local top-notch restaurants. My preference is to have sushi delivered while supping a few drinks. What more can ask for? So all in all, a fantastic, one-of-a-kind Lounge Bar. Without a doubt, my favourite place of it's kind in London.

So I sat back and made myself comfortable. Aesthetically the place is beautiful. There is a long shotgun bar, a huge seating/roaming area, and a decent cocktail menu to keep me interested. The decor is a mix of light wood and chrome, with the odd plasma screen showing football. The bartender and I got chatting as he made me a cocktail off the menu. It was a martini but he offered to make it long on the rocks for me to suit my manly appearance. Tee hee! I could see he wasn't happy with the balance, making the concoction several times. For keeping me waiting he refused payment. Nice touch! The cocktail was still good. I decided to ask to be shown around. There is a club and restaurant on site. The restaurant is very suave and endearing in a classic way. As you walk up to the club you can't help but notice the opulence of the artwork and interior design. The club itself is a simple hall with a VIP room off to the side and another bar. Taken as a whole The Gallery is an impressive building and this helps distract from its problem. Who goes partying in Hendon? There isn't much else in the area to draw in London's socialites and it is known that the locals aren't the most chic group in the city. To battle this, new staff and management have been brought in to give The Gallery the right vibe. I enjoyed my quiet cocktail, time will tell whether I enjoy the clientèle.

The multitude of paintings on display depict a broad-range of techniques like:-Surrealism,Abstract,Expressionism,Pop-Art,Minimaland Conceptual Art. The food was absolutely fabulous-preparedby the award winning chef Stephen Englefield. The menus are very innovative, regularly reviewed with an insistence on fresh ingredients. The Crab-on-Confit of Leek and Potato, followed by braised Cumbrian Lamb shoulder with a Champagne and Lamb sauce was just perfect.

Once inside you are in pub heaven with a traditional looking lounge at the front, you almost walk into the bands as you enter the pub but there's plenty of seating to enjoy the music from a safe distance too. You pass through another section before the place opens up to the main bar at the back. It has quite a continental feel to it, and I can't believe I didn't immediately spot the massive vats at the back - I was too busy admiring the statues on the bar. And it's difficult not to be tempted by the selection of beers when in a brewery and I didn't regret my choice of Achtung. They also serve food and while the main menu is limited to sausage rolls and pies you can also order pizza or sushi which is delivered directly to your table by local takeaways. I'll definitely be back, a real gem.

Their Early Doors IPA was always likely to be my favourite, but I also enjoyed Dark Matter, 2 O'clock Ordinary and their Weissbier called Achtung! Good brewery. This meant we could both have a snack of our choice and also share some chips. I enjoyed the luxury fish fingers! (No Captain Birdseye here!)
