Great breakfast burritos! Don't let the building scare you. It is worth it! It is mostly drive thru. The wait is not too bad.

Great service and even better burrito! Would definitely recommend coming here. It is cash only just to keep in mind

Running thru Post from Lubbock to San Antonio which ranked up there with some of the best tacos I've had. Small places are either on point or missing it totally....this man takes pride in his work highly recommend! read more

Love this guy! We get the Picadillo with cheese and jalapeño. Wow!!!! It's so dang good. And the salsa with it!!..! Fantastic! read more

El Aguacalientes - Picadillo w/cheese and jalapeño - Mexican Near Me - Post, Texas

My husband heard about this place while visiting Lubbock. He sat next to the owners son, who told him about El Aguacalientes. We pulled up to the drive-thru and the owner was reading his Bible. To say that interaction made my heart happy is an understatement. And oh my, that was an AMAZING barbacoa taco! read more

The man who runs this place is so incredibly nice! Great service and great food! My husband and I got the potato, egg, and cheese and chorizo and potato taco and they were both great! read more

We eat burritos every weekend where we live. We were traveling and decided to stop and eat. There burritos were awesome. The salsa was delicious, not too hot. The owner was so sweet and kind. We will stop again on our road trip. They don't take credit cards! FYI read more

First of all, FANTASTIC breakfast burritos! The chorizo had great flavor without being a grease bomb, which seems to be difficult to find lately. Second, the owner is awesome!!! He makes everything to order and any way you want it. Good sized burrito so I only needed one to fill me up. It is cash-only place so be ready for that! read more

Great little "taco" spot. I say "taco" because the man calls them burritos ala El Paso style. The only difference is that he actually packs them like a big burrito instead of a breakfast taco. I got a bacon and egg, a Barbacoa, and a carne guisada. I pretty much devoured the carne asada and it was delicious. The bacon egg was also super packed and had a lot of bacon in it. Overall I'd say that they are definitely worth the $3.25 for each burrito. The man was super friendly. It pretty much is only a drive-thru spot because there are no parking spots. If you happen to be the third car in line you will have to wait in the street. The good thing about it is that he now actually takes credit and debit cards unlike the some of the other reviews here on Yelp say. I stayed down at the lake about 20 minutes from here and because the only place near the lake had terrible reviews, I decided to come this way. Very much worth the trip for breakfast or lunch. The man is very friendly. Warning, the barbacoa taco is super packed and very greasy! Very. Like it will turn your brown bag clear! All it means, is that it's good barbacoa. Put salt, the Pico and salsa he includes an it's heaven. I saved that sucker cause the 1st 2 more than filled me up. read more

Courteous and quick service here. 1 Burrito/Taco is all I needed. Made fresh to order with exactly the ingredients I asked for. I'm not a huge meat eater so I got Potato, Egg & Cheese. It was HOT off the pan folks (heat not spicy). Yum! The salsa was homemade too! I could tell that the gentleman running the place was really taking great care and putting his heart into the food he's making. Bring cash, Tip well and Don't skip this place! read more

Homemade goodness! Bacon, Egg, potato breakfast burrito so yummy & cooked fresh! Loved the salsa but we only got one wish we had ordered more!! The nicest man greeted us & thanked us for coming! Little sketch on the outside but don't let that deter you! Cash only, but doesn't get much more affordable! read more

El Aguacalientes - a person holding a piece of food - Mexican Near Me - Post, Texas

Great food. Burritos are large made fresh and taste great. Barbacoa is best in town. Service is a little slow but that's because he makes everything fresh to order and that why they are so good. A little quaint drive thru location very good attitude and atmosphere. read more

The best breakfast burritos in Post! Great service, just call it in. Very large burritos.

Little diamond in the rough. Needed to stop for breakfast and this place hit the spot. Tacos were big and delicious. Salsa on point. They only take cash. Call ahead but there is a DT and pickup window. The guy working the window was incredibly nice. Don't be deterred by the outside building appearance. Will stop here again! read more

The barbacoa was fresh and had authentic taste. He got on our order right away and gave us our food pretty quickly. The tamales were a little bare and needed more meat but other than that they were good. Drive thru operation was way too small putting waiting cars directly on the street. Not big deal but something owners and consumers should take note of. read more

Worth a stop on your way through Post! Delish breakfast burritos and a really friendly gentleman running the place.

Called ahead and food was ready when we passed thru. Had breakfast burritos. I expected the salsa to be a bit hotter, but it had good flavor. I will come again read more

Wonderful breakfast burrito. We got the bacon & egg burrito. It was obvious that it was cooked after we ordered. Everything piping hot. Quite large. Salsa was excellent. No indoor setting. We parked across the street at a park and ate our burrito at a picnic table. We'll stop again. read more

Great tacos, especially for the price. Tacos came with a lot of meat in them and were very filling. Ordered the barbacoa, guiso, fajita, and egg/sausage tacos. The barbacoa and guiso tacos were extremely good, while the fajita and egg/sausage were solid options as well. Very kind man taking the order who also cooked up the made to order food quite speedily. read more

This is my favorite breakfast burrito place! Located on hwy 84 in a small orange building without much signage. They have a drive up and a walk up window to order from. Everything is made to order so it may take a few minutes to get your food, but when you do....YUM! It's hot and delicious!! Well worth the wait!!! Also, it is very inexpensive. My burrito only cost $3. Give it a try! read more

Tacos were excellent. This little tiny taco shop made sure our tacos were hot, we had salsa for all tacos and their demeanor and professionalism was amazing. Great place to drive by and pick up breakfast tacos. Make sure you have cash, because this is a cash only restaurant. Tacos are so worth making sure you have cash on hand. read more
