If there is ever a steakhouse I would go to it is this one in Nürnberg. I've tried multiple other steakhouses in Nürnberg but I simply find this one to be the best. As first we ordered a appetizer which was the STEAKHAUS-Salat containing an abundance of different salad types. The salad has a refreshing vinegar oil dressing and celery. The main course that we got was the 300g Double Filet Steak ordered medium. I must say this steak is amazing! The texture of the meat is soft and the flavors flow through your mouth as soon as the meat makes contact. The added Herb butter simply added even more music to the orchestra of flavor that the steak delivered. Presentation of the meal was somewhat lacking but for it's pure simplicity it was grand. The steak was cooked exactly to how I expected it. Service was quick and responsive. Clearly the team is well trained to carry all that deliciousness. If flavor was weighed in kg I'm sure these waiters would go home with numb arms! All in all Eku Inn is the best steakhouse I know, even after traveling across the states and Europe, but who knows that might be my inner "Nürnberger" talking. ;) read more

They dropped onion rings onto the floor and tried to serve it to my friend. The steak they served me was too salty and my friends lamb chop was raw. I do not recommend this place unless you want an excuse to miss work due to food poisoning they also handle food bare handed and there is cross contamination between raw meat and the salad read more

Came here for dinner on a Monday night, reservations recommended. Wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. Restaurant is known for its steak so we tried the ribeye. Ordered it cooked medium and it came out rare, sent it back and it came back medium rare. Meat was quite tough and very fatty. Baked potato was good and came with homemade sour cream which was very good. Overall food was just average, doubt we will return. read more

I ate at the Eku Inn twice during my visit to Nuremberg. Both times I got a filet mignon- medium rare. Both times the steaks were excellent - tasty, incredibly tender - among the very best I've ever eaten (and I usually order filets). One time I had a great house salad, and the other time I had some really excellent fried potatoes. The house salad had several kinds of salads in it (I don't know exactly what), but the greens were fresh and crisp, and the dressing was tasty, and not too much. One of the types of greens was a little energetic and needed a knife to make it edible in civilized bites. It wasn't a problem - more humorous than anything ;-). The fried potatoes were also excellent - fresh-cooked and with exactly the right crunch. Service was quick. Both times when I was there, there was no wait - but both were weekday evenings, and I eat a little early by European standards. Not fancy, but clean, neat and orderly. Went to EKU Inn on a Saturday night and it was very busy so I decided to try dinner here on a Sunday evening. Nice place for simple steak dishes which are prepared in the middle of the restaurant, there is also a seperate garden area for ouside dinning. Popular with families and younger dinners. read more

We visited Christmas market in Nuremberg shortly on weekend 2010 and were looking a restaurant to eat. And I am so lucky that we happened to pick this place. At least on weekend evenings, the place was full...so make your reservation beforehand, at least for most common dinner time. The place looked quite small, unless there was some rooms more behind some corners. The atmosphere was nice, not too fancy. Personnel were friendly and polite. This is one of the rare places where personnel came to inform us that it will still take some time to make our food, after we were waiting some time...I found it nice, instead of just waiting. Me and my girlfriend both pick from the list the Australian Wagyu tenderloin-steaks...and we LOVE it ! We took baked-potato with sour-cream as side order and shared one mixed salad. For wine we took the recommended Australian Bush Wine Grenache, but we didn't find that so special...you could pick something else from the list also as well. If we will visit in Nuremberg again...we know were to eat then...and always when visiting there :) read more

Fantastic steakhouse! Every dish that my numerous friends, family, and I had was always a pleasure. They have a great selection of delicious wines to compliment all meals, as well. I highly encourage others to try this steakhouse at least once. I guarantee you'll not be dissatisfied. Thier ribeye steaks are ridiculously delicious and juicy. I have never seen my finicky daughter literally clean her plate; even the steak juice was cleaned off. Their lamb was very good as well; good seasoning. This was one of the best steak dinners I've ever had! The bacon wrapped filet with peppercorn sauce ($20 euro) was incredible. Please note, when cooked "medium" it's really more medium rare to rare by US standards. The beef was super tender and packed with flavor. Don't be fooled by the look/decoration of the restaurant. Looks really are only the surface! Go outside and sit in a great garden with a very juicy steak, creamed mushrooms, baked potatoe and a glass of prosecco. You will not leave hungry, dissatisfied or stupidly full.
