Sure, they may not want to be known for their cookies, but OMG, their cookies are amazing. I'm talking about the ones near the register. They had some samples out, the husband and I tried a piece, and we ended up buying two. Chewy, amazing, oatmeal raisin cookies. For that alone, go here! Now, beyond cookies, this is an organic shop that is really top notch. They pack a lot into a little store, and I don't have trouble finding things. It's like they actually think about it and designed the store for ease of use (novel concept, I know!). The brands they stock here are fantastic. They sell about 6 types of lentils, a great selection of fresh produce (some interesting, non-traditional veggies, too!), herbs, spices, almond milk, snacks to go, bread, coconut milk and what seems like almost every type of 'super food' out there. Need nuts, goji berries, red quinoa, black quinoa, white chia seeds? Look no further. If you want it and its organic I bet this place has it. And that is a lot more than I can say for some of the bigger shops like Marqt or Eko Plaza. And....that is not all.....wait for it....wait for it...wait for it.....They are open late. What?! Open late? Like, how late? Like past 9pm on a weekday late? Yes. Yes, you heard me. This store is open late enough for you to go to work, go to the gym and then go grocery shopping. That is a minor miracle in Amsterdam. Also, the people that work here are really friendly. All in all, a very good addition to the 'hood. And they are open late!

They have put immense thought into living sustainable lives, and into how we can decrease our carbon footprint. It's a conversation that's more relevant than ever, and will only continue to be. Neat, clean rows of bulk, vegan ingredients welcome you as you enter. They offer a shelf of free re-used and washed glass jars for you to fill with anything you wish (or, of course, you can bring your own). They feature a selection of local, vegan artisinal brands, including Andrés Cooks and Rosie & Riffy. Even if you don't need any bulk foods at the moment, it's a beautiful store and concept to get to know. Time slows down, and there's an peace to stillness that this place has the power to bring out in us. I look for excuses to stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood, and I'll continue to do so. I headed here with some specific stuff in my and even though I did not find it I left this place with lots of goodies and if I had followed my stomach's advise, and not my wallet's, I would have left with much more. If you live in Amsterdam you probably would not go to this place all the time, so it is handy to come with money and maybe a car because you will probably buy lot's of stuff here. It is nearly impossible to walk through this store without spending to much money on delicious stuff (also because stuff here is pretty expensive). Even though it is a pricey store I will definitely be back for some things that are not available at my nearest Albert Heijn. Nice extra; they had Halloween themed candies! Trick or treat! Nice!
