In my travels to Haarlem, I had encountered this store and picked up a oatmeal cracker (Billy's Farm brand - macadamia & chocolate) and it was positively addicting. So back in my home turf, looked for this store and this was it!
Firstly, gotta tell you that from the outside, appearances are very much deceiving! This store is heaps bigger than it looks! You walk into the fresh produce section, then spices, and then oils and then into the cheese/ meats section followed by the dry goods and diary.
I really liked the sprouts section - you have to be careful about what you purchase and look at the fresh by date, but otherwise it's a great variety and pretty decent price too.
I found the cookies and also purchased some oils and spices. For the oils - it was interesting because I was looking for a single farm, but the majority of the oils, while indeed being organic, were described as "blend of oils from Spain" etc. I finally chose one and hoped for the best.
I also encountered a specifically helpful staff member on the floor of the shop, and he helped me find the oatmeal cookies and the Dutch equivalent of roasted garlic. But my check-out girl could have been more helpful, as I asked about the loyalty card, but I guess she got flustered as there was a line getting behind me and so didn't explain it properly- it had to do something with costing €10 is all I got before was hustled into payment. (Hence only 4-stars).
I'll probably come back and chat to the staff on the floor to figure out how the loyalty card works, rather than the check-out person.
