I used Ekco, for a new kitchen installation. Although the price was competitive, the installation was littered with problems, the service both during and after has been appalling. To be specific, it took months to start the project, and 4 months to complete, I was told initially it would take 7 days. The tiled floor they installed has since had major problems, and I have been told the entire floor needs to come out, tiles have come loose, uneven, grout coming out. They left pipes leaking for weeks, and I had to call an independent plumber to repair it, and was never re-imbursed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! No matter what sales and service they promise to deliver, you will be left to rot. I chose them because they are affiliated with the KBSA, who are supposed to help out with any problems between consumer and retailer, but these are completely toothless, and have since told me, I need to pursue this matter on my own and take them to the small claims court. Having had our Kitchen refitted by EKCO and been delighted with the results we had no hesitation in having EKCO back to refit our cloakroom. The whole process was very easy and straightforward - from the initial visit to assess the job, the design and subsequent design discussion through to the actual fitting. EKCO are able to attend to all aspects of the refit including the flooring, re-plastering of the ceiling and any electrical fittings so the relevant contractors are available when they are needed, which makes the whole process extremely smooth and timely. EKCO has access to a wide range of quality sanitary ware, furniture and fittings which means they can price jobs to suit a range of budgets. All the EKCO contractors and fitters we have had dealings with have been extremely professional and friendly - they work to a very high standard. We recently had bifold doors and a couple windows installed by Ekco and we are absolutely delighted with them! The whole process from start to finish was an enjoyable experience. We really had no idea where to start but thanks to our joiner he suggested we give Ekco a try as he had used them several times before. We visited both the Edinburgh and the West Lothian showrooms where there were a wide range of door sizes and colours available to view.... (Nice kitchens and bathrooms too.... Next project!!) We spent some time with Craig in their Abbeyhill branch who answered all our questions and made the process stress free. He even dealt direct with our architect and joiner regarding sizes and installation dates which meant we could focus our attention on other areas of the extension. Thank you EKCO for helping us out right before Christmas when our original supplier let us down last minute. We cannot thank you guys enough as it meant we could enjoy our Christmas with family and friends in our new extension. We received our quotation promptly which was very competitive against others we had received, their site survey was very informative as we discovered a couple things which our original supplier missed, the lead time was very quick and the installers were absolutely outstanding - you could tell they were very passionate about their job. We were updated by the office at every stage of our order which was nice to know everything was in hand. We recently did a self build house & had our kitchen and three bathrooms kitted out with Ekco. The customer service and help from our first visit in their show room, throughout fitting all the way to aftercare was excellent. We love our kitchen and bathrooms and the products we chose from Ekco have made our new dream home perfect. We have just had a kitchen fitted by Ekco and the units, work tops, fittings and appliances are high quality and look fab. The fitters were friendly and efficient and any problems we had were sorted out efficiently and to our satisfaction.
