Also, keep in mind that your customers need to be able to tell you what they want to order and in order to do so they need to know the name of the item if they don't speak German. And then she took orders from everyone except myself, making it clear that she didn't want my business. I recommend going to the sit-down side and ordering your pastry item from there. The pink pastries are hard. I tried cut one with a knife, and it went flying. I was going to get something else, but I lost my appetite after being screamed at and unable to order because I couldn't write things down or take pictures of the things I wanted to eat. The ambiance is nice. Also, thank you to the male server, who exhibited kindness, unlike his other coworker.

We waited almost 20 minutes for someone to take our order and finally took initiative to find a menu and call the waitress over. We ordered Kugel (ball) one with white and one with dark chocolate cover plus coffee and tea. I had the cookie and waldbeere flavors on a simple cone. Both were very refreshing. While the line was very long, the actual wait was very short. They are very efficient in moving people through and getting orders out. This was very nice, as I had already spent most of the day standing and sweating in the sun. My only complaint would be the prices and the lack of seating around the shop. They are more expensive than other places around, and there is nowhere to sit at the shop. Once you get your order, you're on your own to find a place to enjoy it. Overall, this place works in a pinch. If you want to sit and enjoy your Eis, this may not be the stop for you.

And when you get a chance to try the ice cream from the man behind that brilliant idea, you do that. My mom got the spaghetti ice in a cone. I got my favorite yogurt ice cream and the apricot-lavender sorbet. The latter was super flavorful and contained ripe, sweet apricot chunks. It was delicious. The ice cream was very smooth, with no ice crystals. That's because it's always made fresh with seasonal ingredients. The prices are also very reasonable. Cheaper than in Heidelberg. I'm sad this place is an ocean away. How will I get my apricot-lavender fix now?!?
