I had an awesome meal here. First, shout out to my server, MJ. She's freaking fantastic. She really…read morewent through the menu with me and checked on me and her other tables, more than she needed to. Now, Tumble is a huge place with lots of seating, outside patio and a bar. It's got a cool modern vibe going and TVs running sports. Fried chicken and burgers are the focus with some interesting menu items. Pies to round off dessert. I really loved my 1/4 chicken korean style (spicy, gochujung). I was a bit worried when the chicken came out quick but it was on point. On the sides front, the broccoli salad was stellar. Finally the key lime pie was solid. I will definitely be back for another bite next time I'm in town.

Didn't taste any marinade or a lot of seasoning in the coating (so I can bring my SIL here) but I got beautifully cooked, juicy chicken so I figure this is an excellent starting block for whichever direction you take it. Personally, I'm trying the Korean sandwich next time. __MAC AND CHEESE__ (included side) I can be embarrassingly intense about macaroni and cheese. There are establishments I *love* where I refuse to order M&C again and warn others off it, but Tumble 22 is a go. Thrilled to find cavatappi used and the sauce is pretty good. They avoid the ubiquitous sins of being mush, stodgy, or watery. Better than what I've been offered as an entrée elsewhere and is certainly good enough to pair as a side to good fried chicken. __BROCCOLI SALAD__ (included side) Broccoli salad was best I've had since Cottonseed Cafe closed in Martindale (where they sensibly cheated with a trace of bacon). Little bit of heat in here. Great textures and flavors, ideal moisture level, nice companion to the fried chicken. I was delighted. __KEY LIME PIE WITH WHIP__ $6.50 Super rich, more rich than tart. This modest slice would satisfy most even if it was shared, like the shakes at Five Guys. It's that or save some for later. FYI you can order your pie--slice or whole--without whip if you prefer but it won't affect the price. Mine was packed separately for delivery and they still had taken the time to grate a little zest on top. I love little details like that at fast-ish food places. __DIP/DRESSINGS__ Forgot dressing at home for salads I'd packed and didn't want to eat mostly naked iceberg, so grabbed a 60¢ shot each of ranch and honey mustard. Both of them proved delicious. Ordered via Yelp button which routes through GrubHub. Delivery was correct and earlier than the reasonable ETA. Their website also has a delivery option which worked out cheaper, largely because it didn't include a tip. Might try it in the future when I have cash on hand for the driver. Excited about trying their coleslaw (first time saying THAT in my life) and collards. Looking forward to coming back and eventually trying the cocktails. 19SEP26
