Power Protein! Healthy options maybe

Sometimes they get the order right, and sometimes they don't. They will give you free bagels, though. Everything here is just so fast, even there's a line!

Plain bagel with shmear, may want to get it double toaated, regular toasted is just soft and chewy

So I finally tried the food here, although I had to order via Door Dash to manage it. One of the main reasons I wanted to try this place was several people told me they had good egg bagels, which are very hard to find in the south. I was disappointed that it wasn't available, at least not on the delivery app and not on that particular Thursday. I suppose it's possible they only carry on the weekends, only offer in person or perhaps pared down their menu due to COVID19. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a turkey bacon avocado sandwich to get me through a particularly long work day. The food was okay, but the portions didn't match the price so I wasn't much more impressed than my previous attempts to come here in the past. As far as bagels go, I think they do a good job. The bagel was a good size, had the right texture and they put the appropriate amount of shmear on it. So many places will just drown your bagel in shmear to make you think you are somehow getting more food, which is a pet peeve of mine, so I'm glad they don't make that mistake. The only feedback I have on the bagels is the toasting. It is not a crisp toast but instead the same soft chewy toast you get when a burger bun gets put through a buttered bread warmer at a restaurant- visibly browned but not actually toasty. They have a decent variety of sandwiches offered. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado as it comes, which is on a potato bun with lettuce, tomato and a garden shmear. The size was tiny for over $9, I found that shocking and I don't have a very big appetite around lunch time. The potato bun had everything piled high, both toppings and the rise of the bun. It was a huge mess!!! Everything was sliding around trying to balance on a small surface and I found the resulting pile of food aggravating. I strongly recommend subbing out a bagel for the normal potato bun, that will give you a more even surface area for spreading everything out and will hopefully come out the size of a normal and more functional sandwich. The flavors were great, but the portion and mess would definitely have me make this sort of adjustment if I ever ordered it again. Now that I've finally tried this location, I just think it's okay and a little overpriced. I'm not exactly opposed to trying them again but will most likely put my efforts into trying local places over this chain. Being able to order delivery is convenient though!

Awesomeness...minus one bite. Yummy!

Bringing a toddler to a coffee house can be a challenge (#iykyk!), and there's only so much you can do to keep things under control. I am so grateful to the staff here; they were incredibly kind, patient, and showed us so much grace. It makes such a difference for parents! I ordered the Blueberry Lemonade, and it was refreshing and delicious. My friend loved her Honey Lavender Latte, and her daughter clearly approved of the Cinnamon Roll--she polished off every bit of the cream cheese frosting! They have full breakfast and lunch menus along with a great selection of baked goods. Everything in the case looked amazing. The shop is tucked into a smaller shopping area. While parking right in front can be a bit challenging, don't stress--there are plenty of extra spots available right behind the building! They sat 2 6-tops prior to us, plus numerous other larger groups. Having worked as a head host in the restaurant industry before, at first I thought it was because they all had reservations and were just before us in those, but as they sat ~15 groups before us, I started to notice we were being neglected. As you can see from posted pics here on Yelp the restaurant is classy with a brasserie ambiance and vibe. We elected to be seated in one of the very comfortable booths across from the attractive bar with its red, upholstered swivel stools. My wife opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio and I a Sazerac. The Sazarac was OK, but overpowered in this pour by the bitters (and I'm one who loves both Angostura and Peychaud bitters. I drink them both straight whenever I have a slightly queasy stomach and enjoy them straight). For starters we shared a bowl of French onion soup which on this chilly early winter morning was a comforting and savory start to our brunch meal. My wife went with the eggs Benedict and I decided to try the Oeufs en Cocotte, a dish I encountered here for the first time ever. The eggs Benedict, my wife reports, was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs, large slices of a tender and flavorful ham over a croissant-like puff pastry that had been split and grilled to perfection in butter on the flat top, topped with a nicely done Hollandaise sauce. Happily for me, she left a half of the butter grilled pastry. It was divine. Likewise the Oeufs en Cocotte, eggs poached in a shallot cream sauce, was heavenly. Cannot wait to enjoy this again! Perfectly cooked eggs in a flavorful, steaming hot, shallot and cream sauce. So good. Our server was perfectly attentive and very helpful, answering clearly our questions about the preparations of the dishes. So looking forward to our next visit.

After she served my Dos Equis, she got me a decanter of water. I ordered the Lomo Adobado and glad not to have gotten chips and salsa. It was a tremendous amount of food. I do not recall the last time I received both rice and tortillas, so I was not too disappointed being provided only two tortillas. The additional salsa was not spicy and not necessarily as the marination on the pork was sufficient. The asparagus were a pleasant surprise since it was not mentioned in the menu. What really sets this resort apart is the staff, restaurant options, and amenities. Throughout every corner of the property, it's evident that the team shares a strong mission and core values. The only call out I have is the pick up/drop off, there was an worker who suggested travelers that had all stayed at the resort for the week should walk with all their luggage very far to a parting lot for me to pick them up, even though there is a line dedicated to pick up/loading- he could use some training. Other than that the level of hospitality and genuine care is exceptional and noticeably different from typical hotel experiences. The combination of the expansive property, quality accommodations in the right tower, and outstanding staff service makes Gaylord Opryland an outstanding choice.
