Decent ravioli, not the best dine in experience…read more Came here as a lunch option for the area. The inside is well decorated and there was a lot of coolers with pasta and raviolis. We went to the front and ordered the butternut squash ravioli in butter sauce and their lobster roll special. Food came out in a reasonable timeframe, we perused the oils and vinegars while we waited. The lobster roll was a flop. Dry lobster on top of lettuce barely warmed on a non toasted hot dog bun. It's a ravioli shop, so I didn't have high expectations, but figured they have worked with lobster before so I had higher hopes The ravioli we got were also a pretty big flop. Raw uncooked pasta in broken butter sauce and no seasoning. The butternut squash filling was puréed to heck and reminded me of frozen butternut squash sides you buy from the grocery store. Not bad, but lacking. The fries and onion rings were good. Bagged but good quality, the highlight of our meal. The staff were friendly, and the space was small but cozy. I highly suspect the faults of the kitchen are mainly due to them not having dine in orders frequently. I would stick with the prepared pastas and make whatever you buy at home.

My favorite and everyone's were the manicottis, they were delicious. The gluten free chicken Parmesan was delicious as well as the gluten free penne. The gluten free shrimp were ok. I and one other liked them 4 others did not. They had a gluten free stuffing which was too heavy on the shrimp which were flattened for some reason. It took away the succulence of the shrimp and the gluten free stuffing needs some seasonings and not so much of it. The gluten free orange Italian cookies were fantastic! I loved them and so did most everyone. All in all they did a very good job and most of the fishes were great. I highly recommend them and would order gluten free itslian from them again especially those orange itslian cookies! Amazing!

I also can't say enough good things about their fresh coffee and pastry menu. Their Italian coffee menu is spot on from their cappuccinos to their affogatos, they offer something everyone will love! There is also cute nook areas inside and outside seating to enjoy your fresh cannoli's (THE BEST) or other menu items at. Everything we've had from there has exceeded our expectations. Not to mention the staff at Italian Food Store is the best, you will not meet anyone like them: truly the nicest group of people. We can't wait to stop in again!

There was a sign with a phrase that was also written on the box for the cannoli I ordered that said "pleaza donta squeeza da cannoli!". The saying was around what looks like an ai generated stereotype of an Italian chef. I understand that the store is clearly Italy themed and claims to bring the culture and authenticity to the area which is great, I just think there is a better way that doesn't involve mocking a people or accent for that purpose. Again very cute store, great options, and wonderful service. Just consider the impact that the branding may have on the community you are trying to support. Thank you.

They absolutely make the best pasta and ravioli I have ever had in the US! I do not cook often, so…read morethe fact that I cam stop in, grab fresh sauces, and fresh pasta or ravioli, and "cook" them in minutes to have what tastes like a homemade fresh meal is just the best thing ever! Is it cheap? No! Is it worth it? Absolutely! You will never want boxed pasta from your local grocery store ever again. They also now have desserts and I loved the personal size fruit tart, and oh the to go with your coffee in the morning is a must try! The fillings of the ravioli change with the seasons, and the lemon in the summer and the truffle are amazing when it's truffle season! I literally did not even think I liked truffle until I tried this ravioli, and then I realized it was the fake truffle oil that restaurants put on truffle fries that I hated the smell of, which is nothing at all like the actual taste and scent of a real truffle that is not overpowering or stinky. Lol The owners are the sweetest and are always present, and I am so proud to see how many places are now using their pasta for their dishes. The space is clean, and I am so excited that they are actually opening a second location in Glastonbury! I can't say enough good things so if you haven't given them a try yet, add it to your must do list!

A beautiful family owned pasta shop in the heart of West Hartfords bustling restaurant lane. I picked up a box of their fresh spaghetti, and spring ravioli; Lemon Ricotta Ravioli and Spinach Ricotta Ravioli. I was greeted by Ana, the owner and we chatted about her new location opening up in Glastonbury, CT. If you love fresh homemade Italian pasta and or have never enjoyed this specialty before-- give it a try!
