I visited the Eiffel Tower back in June of 2025. It was magnificent and beautiful. I found a tour on Trip Advisor and it included the entrance fee. Once we got to the 2nd floor the tour guide gave us some more fun facts about the Tower and then he allowed us to explore on our own. Some of us bought a ticket that included going to the top which is called the summit. We took the elevator to the very top and the views were breathtaking. We could purchase champagne which I did. So worth it!!

Took the high speed train from Germany into France & had an amazing time. The Eiffel Tower is truly a beauty. The vibe in Paris is unreal!

We didn't plan on going to the tower till sunday, but happened to find our way there riding the train... So we decided to give it a go, as we headed to the line there was a gaurd that waved us over giving us what seemed like the fast pass inside bypassing a boat load of people and familes... Once in we found our way to the elevator access to the 2nd floor of the tower which was the way for us since my wife had been walking most of the day and was getting a little moody thinking we were going to go up the stairs. €40 each foe the elevator ride up, 30 minutes in line from start to the top. The views were wonderful this city and it's amazed streets seemed endless. After taking pictures and and videos we went to check on snacks and the souvenirs shop we ended up buying a snow globe and a few key chains. The decent was fast and off we were taking more pictures from the ground and park!!! While exiting there were more street vendors selling souvenirs at much better price!! Like all street vendors they will barter with you so don't feel like you have to take the first price. Obviously this is a must if your visiting Paris!!!

A visit to the Eiffel Tower is an absolute must when in Paris. I was just so intrigued by her beauty and literally could not get enough of her! We went back to the Terrace on several days to capture pictures and just sit to enjoy her beauty and some Nutella and banana crepes (which by the way is a must at the vendors on the Terrace). It was great because our hotel was walking distance which also made it easy to get there and back in no time. It was just so nice to head out, stop by a corner bakery to get some goods, visit the Tower and enjoy the beauty of the city. It does get rather crowded and everyone is taking pictures. Various vendors around selling souvenirs, drinks and eats. Recommend visiting these. I cannot find my name on anything but I was able to find ONE Paris mini license tag with my name (yes correct spelling) which I grabbed right up!!

10/7/20 One of the few photos I have left of my first trip to Paris. I believe I would have turned 15 or 16 that year.

10/7/20 The Eiffel Tower in Paris has been a blast when I saw it both times. This tower was orginally going to be torn down after a twenty year life span. "Gustave Eiffel succeeded in saving his Tower by putting it forward as a monumental support antenna for wireless broadcasting." The tower has changed colors over its history, but the orginal color was red. According to what I read, the red paint made it easier to protect it from rust. If I heard about this when I was visiting Paris,  I had forgotten about it.  The tower really makes you feel small. When you are at the top of the tower, you see a bunch of ants walking around on the ground.   The  first time I was visiting Eiffel Tower thoughts of flying through the air came to mind as I saw Parisian Birds flying by at the height we were at. Parachuting also came to mind. The Second time I went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower,  Highlander The Series came to mind. Antonius Kalas vs Duncan Macloed in a battle to the death. The power of The Quickening with the world's biggest lightening rod helped save all of the other immortals from Kalas's evil plans.   Both times walking down the stairs of The Eiffel Tower was fun. Hell I would have walked up and all the way down the stairs of they let us.  Unfortunately there is only one section where they let you walk down the stairs.  However, on my first trip down the Eiffel Tower,  we did get to walk down the stairs from the top of the tower.    I really hope I am not confusing this with the bottom half of the tower.  I don't think so, but there is doubt in my mind. Anyhow, when we and by we I mean my camp group I was with.  I looked out to see a fountain and two wide paths  by a staircase. I don't remember what building this is by, but I did see people flying down the ramp weaving in and out of cones. When we were by the fountain, I saw people on roller skates doing different tricks on them. Apparently this is not allowed in this area, but I did not know this at the time. Well at least not on the first trip to Paris.   Still, The Eiffel Tower is an experience one should check out at least once.   Oh, and the second time I was there, a vendor was selling crepes with Nutella.  Mmm Mmm Good:) Oh, and one of the pictures I saw has a fairis wheel near the The Eiffel Tower. This is new to me. If it was there back in 1994 or 1997, I don't remember it.

Amazing and majestic!!! It's a must see while in Paris! It's grand and a symbol of the city, it looks way bigger in person. One of my favorite sites in Paris :) There are 3 options to go up the tower: 1) walk up the steps to the 2nd floor 7€, 2) take the elevator to the 2nd floor 11€, or 3) the the elevator all the way up to an awesome view of the city for 17€ (highly recommend it). The view is breathtaking...you can see all the major sites from atop, a bird's eye view and they do have telescopes you can pay for a closer view. There is also a champaign bar too, if you want to sip on bubbly's while taking in the view. This is a must see and even better if you come during sunset...very romantic. There are also a few restaurant options on site, and a restaurant on the 2nd floor for a more romantic setting. I'm so glad I came and would not think twice to do it again :)

If you are visiting Paris. You can't leave Paris with out a visit to the Eiffel Tower. I recommend you wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for lines. It's well worth the wait to see the Eiffel Tower. I absolutely loved the spectacular views of Paris. You won't be disappointed! Definitely check out the amazing brassiere's in the area. You can sit down and enjoy seeing the Eiffel Tower. I personally feel it's a must visit when in Paris! I definitely was not disappointed and would visit again in the near future.

My husband and I backpacked through France. One day it rained, so we quickly changed and ran to the Tower to grab photos as we knew the tourists would all run away. There are not many trees or shelter areas, and when it rains the locals bombard you to buy umbrellas/ rain coats, but luckily we ran past all of those crowds and were able to capture some amazing photos with just our phones and selfie tripod! Such a beautiful place, especially at night just before midnight when they illuminate and sparkle the whole tower so brightly!

The estate is quiet, and yet there are a number of activities within the gates, such as tennis, a pool (open during warm weather), a swing set, and beautiful gardens. The chataux itself exudes the feeling of living in the past, while providing a space where you can still enjoy a reheated pastry from the local bakery. I stayed in the château for a week, and while I loved my time in Paris itself, the château was the absolute highlight of my trip. The on-site caretaker and other residents were welcoming and kind to the woman who spent the entire week butchering their language, and while there were several families staying at the château over the weekend, the place didn't feel crowded in the least. LM was also always available if I needed to contact her about the property. Honestly, I felt like Elizabeth Bennett on holiday during the day, and had the urge to wander the grounds like Catherine Earnshaw had wandered the moors by night. It was perfect. Driving up to the gate felt like something out of a fairy tale. Before reaching the wrought iron gate, you first drive through a tree-lined drive that transports you to another time. Once inside the grounds, the château looms ahead, daunting while simultaneously welcoming. The grounds were perfect for a mist-filled morning breakfast on the terrace, a lazy afternoon spent reading by the pond, or watching the sunset while munching on a pastry gleaned for that very purpose during the day's adventures. The flat itself is lovely. The bathroom is much larger than ones I am used to in Europe, and had a seemingly endless supply of hot water. The kitchen was perfect for the space, and entirely functional. In fact, it was much nicer than my current flat's kitchen! The one bedroom was quite comfortable, and there was plenty of space in the living room for extra sleepers without the space feeling overcrowded at all. What really sold me was how the view outside was seemingly transported into the flat, reflecting off of the shining hard wood floors that lent an antique feeling to the space. I wholeheartedly recommend Château de la Trousse for your next vacation spot. Its reasonable distance from the city affords a space in which you can relax, breathe, and enjoy living. After a busy day touring museums, galleries, and attractions, I loved coming back to such a unique space, away from the hustle I enjoyed during the day, to unwind and watch the sunset over the valley while breathing in the history, and ambiance of the château .

Yet when we stepped out the front door we were in the middle of the bustling Left Bank neighborhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, with patisseries and shops and galleries by day and a lively night life along cafe-lined blocks with indoor and outdoor dining, imbibing, and people-watching. The place at 29 Rue Mazarine is situated at a crossroads of quaint streets where Romans lived; where royalty dined (and some met the guillotine!); where politicians and intellectuals from Voltaire to Franklin debated in restaurants; and where today there are no less than two Michelin-starred restaurants on our block! Well-worn stairs lead from the building's half-millenium-old stone foundation to the fourth-floor walkup studio, which has all the fascinating and funky aspects of a building with stories to tell: the exposed beams, the scent of old brick; the convoluted pipes and wires and minuscule storage space. The place was a bit rough around the edges, for sure; amenities and elbow room were spare. We didn't mind! The price was extremely reasonable, the bed was comfy, the teeny kitchen functioned just fine, and the shower water was plenty hot. It ticked the boxes for us. Like all the locals we met, our landlord, Thierry, made us feel truly welcome. He replied promptly to our questions and provided helpful information about logistics, eateries, navigating the city, etc. It's hard to imagine a better spot from which to fan out across the city. Walk two blocks to the beautiful Seine, and cross the famous pedestrian bridges to the Louvre and to Notre Dame, a 15-minute stroll at most. Incredibly, there are three clean, well-lit Métro stations just blocks from the studio, with trains arriving reliably every few minutes! For three weeks in the early spring, we traversed the city, immersing ourselves in art, architecture, and history: twice at the Louvre, as well as at Musée d'Orsay, Musée Carnavalet, Musée de l'Orangeries, Musée Marmottan, plus so many churches palaces and churches. A breathtaking day trip to Versailles was a 40-minute no-change train ride away. We got to know some lovely servers at Café d'auteur, Le Mazarin, Maison Sauvage, Café Paul, Café de Paris, and Smith's Bakery! We ate at Procope, the city's oldest restaurant, and many other wonderful eateries all over the city. And on days when we'd exhausted ourselves from walking, we simply dined on baguettes, cheese, and wine from shops around the corner, including the organic grocery store right next door. Having an affordable place to stay in a perfect location allowed us to relax and enjoy the city's magnificence. We definitely would stay at 29 Rue Mazarine again! -- Susan and Warren

Luckily I speak French and had local friends to advocate for me, regarding what I experienced during my one month stay here in February 2023. And I can imagine the nightmare it would be for those who don't even speak French or even first timers to Paris. After being rerouted from VRBO site, I fell into the trap of Mr. Thierry Farcy (the proprietor/landlord of the studio 29 Rue Mazarine). We signed a contract together (through his own rental site), and I reserved this studio for 28 nights with this seemingly charming rental in the neighborhood I cherish and know quite well. I then discovered not only RAT INFESTATION thoughout the building (Rats at night making noise all night, heard from my 4th floor window), which I reported to him but to no avail. He did not seem too concerned about my question as to why there are rodents down in the courtyard keeping me up at night. And then one night, as I came home, I literally found this rodent crawling away in the kitchenette area and it was already night time, and this just put me over the edge. In a panic I relocated to a hotel down the street (something I really did not want to do). And this man did not even care to return my deposit or my request for unused remaining nights, making my entire rest of my stay a nightmare as we went back and forth on emails. He tried so much to smooth things over, and then made it seem like I created a problem for him and not the other way around. He really showed me the worst of the worst of Parisian attitude. I took the case to town hall and even hired a lawyer. Renting a unit that YOU KNOW has had past RATS and RODENT ISSUES is illegal by law in France. He continues to list this property as we speak, which is mind-boggling, and I have reported this to the local authorities. I even took it up with a lawyer. Just be aware. Don't let what happened to me happen to you. Look elsewhere at all costs.

We ran into a couple that didn't complete this and couldn't get into their apartment; I tried to tell them that they probably didn't have a reservation then because the paperwork was not completed and that point was clearly stated on the instructions. I was also lucky that one of them spoke Portuguese and understood my Spanish. Needless to say they fixed the problem, gave me new towels to replace the ones I had to use on the floor and never had another plumbing problem the rest of my stay. I also never heard back from WS via email to check on the reported problem either.
