We rented for five weeks this time and were treated so well by Natalia who took care of everything for us. GAS provide apartments in the center of the city so you won't miss anything that Paris has to offer. They are so welcoming and accommodating, I feel like I'm being greeted by family (only nicer LOL). We keep coming back to this company because they keep excelling.

Guest Apartment Services issued a voucher that referenced a law passed in Paris to help hoteliers by allowing them to hold deposits. The voucher said, "In accordance with the provisions of this order, if this voucher is not used within eighteen (18) months from the date of issue, the customer will be reimbursed for the original amount deposit payment." We were not able to visit during the 18 months and requested the full refund. Christophe Chastel replied, "we can refund now 50% of your original deposit rental." This is in complete violation of the voucher that they issued. The business is not trustworthy unless they do give us the full refund as promised.

This apartment in Paris was totally misrepresented by BOOKING.COM. To get to apartment you had to…read moreclimb 63 wooden slippery steps. The lift was the size of a coffin and got stuck on first attempt to use. On arrival in Paris apartment had broken toilet seat, no toilet paper, no soap, no towel racks, broken bed, dead animal in entry, wobbly floor fan that had to be propt up, low hanging light in middle of room- all for $9430.00. After 12 days we moved out as we are 83 yrs old and could not navigate steps and misrepresented apartment. BOOKING.COM is refusing to refund half of my deposit. They ruined our long awaited 57th wedding anniversary trip. Although I have used Booking before I will not do so in future because of this DECEPTIVE practice. BEWARE TRAVELERS!!

Very basic & cheap yes ! This hostel is about 10/15 minutes walk from ''Gare de Lyon'' train…read morestation and about 2 minutes walk from ''Ledru-Rollin'' subway station. There are many coffee shops + restaurants around this hostel. Let's go straight to the point, I paid 20€ for 1 night, yes very cheap in a expensive city like Paris, I actually wait to place to crash for few hours. Now, it's important to know, the check in only at 3pm not before, as well, you cannot access your room between 11am & 3pm. The staff was just ok, free wifi of course. Honestly, this place should be demolished and rebuilt, it look old and nasty. The worst hostel I've stayed in my opinion, everything, sheets, noise, toilets, showers....Good luck !

You're able to put your belongings and luggage in a basement baggage room until the cleaning hours end. The door handle broke off the basement door when I was trying to exit after stowing my luggage. That was scary for a few minutes! Hah. Staff is generally unhelpful. Room smelled like vomit. When I checked in the first night I was told they lost my online booking and that I would have to switch rooms each night, instead of one room for three nights. Not a huge deal, but they said the same thing to the three people in line ahead of me, so some clear online issues if you think you've booked ahead. They even told one girl that she had to leave because they gave her room to someone else, even though she booked ahead three weeks. You also don't get a room key, you have to keep your receipt and show it to the front desk each time you leave or come back, then they give you a key that you are not allowed to take with you outside of the hostel. This wouldn't be a big deal, but they only have a few keys per room, even in the rooms with 8+ bunks, so you have to share your key with the other people in your room, and sometimes have to knock and pray someone will open the door for you, because the front desk ran out of keys. At 3am the front desk told me to just knock because they once again ran out of keys. Exasperated, I looked at my friend and said under my breath 'the Yelp review is going to be terrible.' The man working at the front desk heard that and immediately changed his tune, and allowed me to use the master key to enter my room. But you shouldn't have to mention a bad online review to get customer service. The last thing I'd mention is that there is only one outlet per room, so you might not be able to charge your devices, especially when in a room with several bunks. But you can charge your device at the communal area downstairs. The price is great, but for the same prices you can find nicer hostels and Airbnbs. I met other backpackers and lovely travelers, that part was amazing! The hostel though? Not so much.

The apartment/studio offers a full kitchen (including small bar area with three stools), a living space with enough space for a dining area (six-person table) and lounge couch with TV (we even left the extra bed open in this space during our stay), plus the small bedroom and bathroom. By Paris standards, this was incredibly roomy. Bedroom bed was soft. Folding bed a bit more firm. Be aware that you'll walk in and think you are in an IKEA store. Pretty sure that's where they got everything, and I mean everything but the TVs. From the kitchen cabinets to the furniture to the shelves and the pictures on the wall. So time will tell how everything holds up. Seems they are still in the process of renovating rooms (November 2017), so we may have gotten here at a good time. Just a couple blocks from Metro and fairly close in (3rd arrondissement), so I liked the location. Plenty of nearby patisseries, to my liking. Hotel downsides- no elevators, limited office hours, hard to find entrance (hint: blue door next to the Boucherie). Downside to the Madison room- it is on a one lane street and whenever a vehicle stops (to drop someone off or make a delivery), the second car that has to wait tends to honk incessantly.
