Our son Wade B. was born with a clubfoot. We found out at our 20-week appointment and were…read moreimmediately referred to Dr. Robert Kay at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center. We were upset, but one of the first things I did was talk to my cousin, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who did his fellowship year at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. He asked me who our doctor was, and when I told him Dr. Kay, he said that's exactly who he would have recommended. We first met Dr. Kay before Wade was born, and he prepared us for the journey to come, laying out the treatment plan and patiently answering all of our questions. I liked him immediately, and my admiration for him has only grown over the past four years. He's an incredible doctor, kind, patient, and gentle, with a calming manner. He was born to do what he does, to take care of children and reassure their parents. Wade came out with the prophesied funny foot, and treatment began when he was six days old, in September 2022. It started with a series of casts, a new one each week as he grew, to correct the alignment of the foot. Then, at five weeks, Dr. Kay performed a small surgery, called a tenotomy, basically snipping the Achilles tendon to allow it to grow longer and more flexible as it healed. He explained that no one understood why this happened, but that it always worked for babies. The surgery was successful, and it was followed by one last cast, after which the clubfoot was corrected, at eight weeks. Then came almost three years of bracing, to ensure the foot didn't revert. Wade wore his boots and bar--like a little snowboard--23 hours a day for six months. After that, he only had to wear the brace at night, and it became a natural part of his bedtime routine. He wore that thing every night until his third birthday. The bulk of Dr. Kay's work was done after the surgery, but we saw him several more times for follow-ups at the spine center. We're not quite done--we have to schedule a six-month check-up next month--but the boots are off now, and Wade's feet are perfect. We'd been prepared for different shoe sizes, but even Dr. Kay has a hard time telling the feet apart. I know the outcome was not entirely in Dr. Kay's control, but he did wonderful work with Wade's clubfoot and was lovely to deal with all throughout this long process. Everyone else at the spine center was great, too, always helpful and friendly. Dr. Kay also works at CHLA, and I'm glad that he was our doctor at Cedars, and that so many of L.A.'s children have access to his care. This is my 5,000th Yelp review, and today happens to be my 40th birthday. I wanted to write about something meaningful for this one, and I can't think of a better choice than the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center and Dr. Kay, who gave my son his walking feet.

In addition, Jonathan the nurse practitioner is also so wonderful. Her entire staff is as well. I feel blessed to be taken care of by Cedars~ Sinai Spinal Spine Center.

Nomoto and his staff are operating to correct my scoliosis this month, May 2022. Susan Grovernale, the Surgery Scheduler, has been especially competent, kind, and understanding. She has been there for me to answer any questions and to coordinate all the clearances and tests necessary for my preoperative matters. This is very unusual in these Covid times. Thank you, DOCS Health.

First off, I want to note that my doctor (Cooper) and his specific team are absolutely fantastic--they are five stars, no question. It's Docs Health scheduling team/communication, that I take issue with. I set up a surgery back in January, for mid February. Called, confirmed, on the schedule. Had some touch bases and then they sort of...fell off. I had issues getting a hold of anyone in the office. When I FINALLY did...it turns out they had actually never scheduled me. Excuse me? At this point, I had a caretaker scheduled, had put my life on hold, etc. The first resolution was "oh good news, we can get you in by end of month, probably." Uh, no. This is where Dr Cooper actually had to step in--he got me on his books two days after my original surgery was scheduled for. He was extremely apologetic, about the whole situation, as well. When you are physically in front of staff, everything has been absolutely great. My surgery was easy and the medical center is very nice, as is the staff. I have more appointments and surgeries coming up and so far, things have been good-my understanding is that they knew they had issues with the schedulers and have found new ones. The offices themselves are very nice, with snacks and easy valet parking, that is validated for up to an hour. With that being said--there could also be improvement on their app. Reaching out via it is absolutely terrible. I work in HCIT and with the level of care that Dr. Snibbe claims to have at Docs Health....the app is pretty useless. If scheduling and app communication gets it together, I'd be willing to bump this up. Separate review coming for Dr Cooper, because, as I said he and his team deserve their own 5 stars.

From my very first appointment, Dr. Rasouli and his entire team were not only exceptionally talented but also incredibly compassionate and empathetic. They took the time to answer my questions, made me feel comfortable throughout the process, and genuinely cared about my recovery. Before surgery, I could barely stand, walk, or sit for more than 30 seconds because of severe nerve pain. The most amazing moment was waking up after surgery and realizing that the extreme nerve pain I'd been living with was gone. Just two weeks into recovery, I was already seeing major improvements. Today marks three weeks since surgery, and I'm back to driving, running errands, and becoming stronger every day. While I still have healing ahead of me, I can already see myself getting back to the things I love most--hiking, working out, traveling, and producing events. Choosing Dr. Rasouli was one of the best decisions I've ever made. If you're considering spine surgery and want a surgeon who combines extraordinary skill with genuine compassion, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Rasouli and his outstanding team.

We came to Dr. Cho for her scoliosis follow-up and also to review a recent shoulder MRI. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. The front desk staff was friendly, we waited only a few minutes, and everyone made us feel welcome. What impressed me most about Dr. Cho was his knowledge, honesty, and efficiency. I am not a doctor, but after 7 years of seeing many specialists, I have learned a lot by listening to the questions they ask and how they evaluate patients. Dr. Cho stands out. Within minutes of watching my daughter walk, stand, and move, he noticed things that many doctors miss. His observations were incredibly accurate, and it was impressive how much information he gathered simply by examining her posture and movement. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I also appreciated his approach to treatment. He recognized the value of non-surgical therapies, including Schroth therapy by Doctor Masha, and explained that surgery should be the last resort. That honest, patient-first mindset is not something you find with every surgeon. Another thing that impressed me was how efficient his office is. We received his detailed report the very same evening, which was amazing. I would also like to thank Justin Morman, the X-ray technician, who was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the visit. Dr. Cho was wonderful with my daughter, his staff was excellent, and his expertise is undeniable. I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with scoliosis, spine, hip, or orthopedic issues. Thank you, Dr. Cho and your team, for the outstanding care.
