I'm really the first to leave EgyptAir a review? Wow, haha. Okay, this was my first international travel and it was enjoyable. I will be honest, the staff was probably tired of me because my original fly out date was missed so I had to catch the flight 2 days later, I know, how Jazmin, how? I want to recognize Tariku at IAD who was very helpful and tried to assist me still making the original flight. Also the Manager Mr Hassan who organized customer service reaching out to me to receive assistance with rebooking my flight.
Okay, once I finally got on the flight, there were blankets and complimentary pouches they provide to each guest which included socks, toothbrush, headphones, sanitary wipes and a few other small items which I thought was so nice. There were really good movies on the flight I was able to watch. The Little Mermaid, King Richard and Creed were the ones which entertained me.
The seating is comfortable and spacious for the average size adult and the pilot en route and for return was amazing! The flight was very smooth, the smoothest I've experienced honestly.
The meals they provide are also so good! Full meals with lamb, rice, vegetables and a roll. We also received an omelette for breakfast and mini sandwich as a snack in between as the flight was 10.5 hours. At times I did notice some preferential treatment towards other passengers, like some flight attendants noticing I'm awake but not offering what they would offer to others. At one point she offered the lady next time if she wanted soda and provided it to her and then did not ask me what I would like to drink, only gave me water, lol. I didn't mention it really because the truth is sometimes what people don't want to give us isn't good for us anyway. I rarely drink soda. Even though the intent was nasty I was not going to let her be the focal point of my experience. I was planning on leaving that out but I saw numerous comments on social media of this airlines being accused of racism and I felt it would be a disservice to my community if I was dishonest that I experienced something that felt discriminatory towards me as well. read more
