Excellent experience. Dr Eguchi was the 4th dentist I saw about my problem and he fixed it. I had a problem tooth that needed a root canal back in February. I went to 3 different dentists, two of whom looked at the x-rays and said it was too difficult for them ( the canal was calcified and very hard to see ) I was then referred to the third dentist who specialized in root canals. He started the procedure and got to a point where he was not confident to continue. A friend highly recommended Dr Eguchi so I went to him. He was great. A very nice man who genuinely cares about his patients. Very thorough and explained all the options to me very clearly. The procedure was completely pain free. I was able to get in to see him within 24 hours due to a cancellation. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted, felt comfortable and was impressed with the cleanliness. Dr. Eguchi identified the problem, explained the options and the procedure he opted for. To my surprise the root canal was pretty much painless. If there were less than one star I would mark it. At the present time, my wife is in a life threatening condition and Eguchi's office is doing nothing about it - after weeks of failed dental care. All they seem interested in is exchanging money from my pocketbook to theirs. When that opportunity ran out, their interest in my wife ran out. I have been waiting two-three weeks for a return "emergency" call - hasn't happened. Now, we are off to the emergency room and looking at a lawsuit. read more

The office staff is so nice, the office is very clean and welcoming, and the procedure was just about painless. I had minor discomfort for a few hours, as to be expected, but the next day I was fine. Dr. Eguchi is highly skilled and meticulous. He has helped me with a number of problems, starting out with a redo of a botched root canal from another dentist who refused to acknowledge there was still a problem. One tooth he saved for me (it was cracked all the way into the root) required a couple of procedures, and still was failing. He then offered to perform a third procedure GRATIS, which did the trick. He was just passionate about saving that tooth, and did not want me to give up on it. He is always very thorough in explaining each procedure, and the risks and benefits, even on occasion drawing sketches of the the tooth and what he proposes to do. He has a calm and reassuring demeanor and one feels that he is a combination of health care professional and engineer, which, as an engineer myself, I appreciate. read more

He is talented and knowledgeable, and having had to have root canals in the past by others- I think he is the best of the best. I am hard to diagnose, my x-rays rarely show the problem cause of the density of my teeth, so it takes a skilled diagnostician who is willing to put in the extra effort when x-ray isn't definitive, and Dr. Eguchi does. He listened, tested, confirmed the abscess, and then fixed it as painlessly as possible. I hope I don't need any more such work, but if I do, I will return here! Excellent Endodontist, great staff. They all made me feel very comfortable with the work and the recovery.

I've had 2 root canals performed by Dr. Eguchi. The first was preceded by considerable pain, but resolved quickly. After the scheduled 6-month followup, upon reading the x-ray he discovered a shadowed area in the adjacent molar. Unfortunately this meant an abscess necessitating another root canal. Apparently the abscess was far more extensive than imagined, keeping in mind that it is impossible to directly view the problem. I had complications. Within 24 hours excruciating pain developed following the root canal. I called him at his home and we met at his closed office on Saturday. He examined the site. He explained the pus was leaking into the bone, the white cells were invading the area. This meant inflammation and the inflammation in turn was tearing the tissue creating even more pain. He outlined 2 courses of action. On his recommendation I choose the one which had the potential of relieving the pain more quickly. It is now 5 hours later and on a scale of what was 10, the pain is now down to 3-4 and dropping. Incidentally he identified this 2nd molar as quite vulnerable and it will be monitored for at least 9 months at 3-months intervals. He has a precise and clear approach in describing problems, options and prospects. He is congenial with a bit of wry sense of humor. He is experienced and beyond presenting an appearance of competence, is absolutely competent. I highly recommend him. read more

I've just had my 2nd root canal by Dr Eguchi, and i cannot praise him highly enough. After several decades of suffering thru the ministrations of many dentists and entodontists who should have been plumbers or auto mechanics, finding this wonderful man was like finding heaven. I have major pain issues exacerbated by fibromyalgia syndrome, and I had NO pain--I never even felt the anesthetic needles, which is truly astonishing, as just that alone is usually traumatizing. He went thru a crown, both times, without breaking or cracking it; AND he does the procedure all in one visit instead of unnecessarily dragging it out into two. He also called the next day to see how I was, which is unheard of. When I had the first one done, I lived near him in California. I've since moved to Arizona, and he's SO good, that I just drove the 1600-mile round trip to have him do the root canal, rather than gamble on yet another ham-fisted incompetent closer to home. With other dentists, I've had to take heavy narcotics for several days to tolerate the pain. With Dr. Eguchi, I've needed nothing but tylenol, and then only for one day--there was barely an ache the next day. He's truly amazing and wonderful. read more
