Rarely does a name so accurately describe a restaurant as Eggsquisite Cafe's does. From the moment you walk in you know you're in a special place. The service, the food, the ambiance-it's all fantastic and inviting. This is the type of place I could see becoming a family tradition to visit weekly. Memories can be made here. The menu is plentiful-there's something here for everyone. I personally tried the biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs. It was delightful. I had a near perfect experience this morning. As it was a pleasant day, the outdoor tables were spread apart and half of them were occupied. Although I was seated inside, I would not have minded if I ate outside. While browsing the menu, I mentioned to my waitress that I was deciding between the Chorizo omelette and the Banana Nutella pancakes. Rather than choose between the two, she told me the omelette came with either toast or pancakes. So, I was able to choose both. As shown in the photo, the Chorizo omelette is ideal for jalapeño lovers. There were plenty of them. The jalapeño's bright green color was a contrast to the darker color of the Chorizo. Even though I declined both, the waitress was kind to still offer salsa and hot sauce on the side. Rather than their normal bottles, they were served in ramekins. Pouring half the salsa added a lot of zest to the omelette. Pouring half the hot sauce made the omelette very spicy. I made the smart decision to take a pause after eating half of the omelette; otherwise, I may not have had room for the pancakes. After a couple bites of the hash browns, I had no desire to have another. The hash browns must have been cooked just before being served. The temperature was very hot and overwhelmed any flavor. Hence, the lack of the perfect rating. Like dessert, the Banana Nutella pancakes ended up being the perfect ending to the meal. As a side, the portion was smaller than the standalone pancakes. If they were any bigger, I would have regretted emptying the plate. I am glad to opt for the maple syrup which is served warm on the side. The combination of the maple syrup and the Nutella made the pancakes be like breakfast dessert Unlike my breakfast experience from last week, I only saw the bottom of my coffee mug for a few minutes during my enit. I was seated in the section facing the outdoor tables and my waitress' only table on this part of the restaurant. Her other tables were around the corner and out of sight. The tables across from me were in another employee's section. Every time the waiter came by to check on his tables, he would ask to refill my mug. In these days of the pandemic, asking for the check has never been easier. Once I put my mask on, a host came by to check on me. In the pre-pandemic days, I would be waiting for my waitress to be within view. Answering the COVID-19 related questions upon checking in on Yelp, I was about to skip over the choice "Staff wearing gloves" when I saw staff not wearing gloves. We used to be regulars here, but the last few visits it felt like the place was slipping. Prices went up, food quality went down, and there's just too many other places who get these things right. The deal killer was when the order of toast was just untoasted bread - the chef and waiter both missed this. Sent it back to be toasted. Came back untoasted again, and again, both the chef and server messed it up again. That's ok, and I just gave up, didn't bother to finish my meal. And we left. I mean, if you're a breakfast place and you can't get toast right, well.... At checkout the Asian lady manager, mentioning this only to be specific who it was, and who we've seen many times, and who has seen us as her customers many times, asked about our experience. Respectfully told her and her staff standing next to her listening, that it was not as good as it has been in the past, explained the situation to her, and she apologized for it. A good manager would have comped the meal (which was left noticeably uneaten), or done something similar. However she chose to pass on that opportunity. That penny-wise, dollar-foolish and poor service approach cost her and her restaurant an honest and low rating, lost her some regular customers, and set a poor example to her staff. read more

The reason they are not getting a 5/5 is because recently I noticed they are under new management with a completely different staff and I am sure different cooks. To say the least I liked the old staff better than this one. The food tastes kind of different, but still great! But this place is definitely one of the best go-tos for a nice brunch! 2019 Yelp 120 Challenge - #76 Eggsquisite Cafe is an amazing brunch restaurant located in Frisco by the Star. My husband and I visited this location one Sunday morning for a delicious brunch and we assumed that there would be a long line. We were right. Luckily, we I had my favorite app "Yelp" that helped us get in line before leaving our house. It told us that their would be a 30 minute wait and half of our wait time was spend getting dress and driving to the restaurant. Upon arriving we checked in with an amazing gentleman "host" and we roughly waited for 10 minutes if that. By the time we arrived they had moved up to a 45 minute wait. When we arrived, we were seated before half of the people waiting. Thanks YELP! :) Upon siting we were given menus and they have an abundance of food. Literally everything on the menu comes with pancakes or you can sub it for another side. I ordered the "Chicken Fried Chicken" and my husband ordered the "Biscuit & Gravy Omelette" everything was delicious and their diverse creamer selection made my morning even better. We had a pretty good brunch here the other day. There was a long wait for inside but not for the patio. They've got a good looking menu with a wide variety. I went with one of their meatier omelettes, substituting chorizo for the ham. It tasted fine, but I've decided I don't really care for the fluffier omelettes. Seemed to be more meat than egg, which I guess isn't really a terrible thing, especially with a meatier variety, except that it didn't really taste like an omelette. The side order of pancakes were good. Hash browns were cooked a little uneven but they were ok. Coffee was good, and service was fine as well. The service was good. The atmosphere is nice and esthetic but the food was very bland! The portions were very small for the price. We were too hungry to grab photos but we ordered the chicken fried steak, chorizo omelette, as well as the biscuit and gravy omelette. The chicken fried steak meat tasted gamey and was very tough. The gravy had no flavor, neither hot sauce or salt and pepper helped at all. We asked for sunny side but egg whites were still clear. I was so disappointed in this place. We have always loved Eggsquisite Cafe, but something was different this time. We had to wait forever to even be greeted by our server. He was very slow and inattentive. I ordered the avocado toast with over easy eggs. The eggs were brought out on a separate plate, which is very odd because you then have to try and transfer them to the toast without breaking. The toast was so hard I couldn't even cut it. The eggs were raw with uncooked egg white running everywhere. Yuck!! I sent it back and just ate the fruit. Our server had the manager take it off, but they still charged me for the fruit. This was a bit petty in my opinion. Most restaurants would not have charged at all. The manager cashed us out but offered no apology for the food. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed or not but don't think we will be back. read more

Very good breakfast!! We celebrated Father's Day a little early and this is what my hubby chose. We arrived about 9:45/10am and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice. I asked for sugar free creamer with my coffee but they didn't have any. She offered almond milk which was great. I had the Vegetable Omelette with hashbrowns and pancakes, hubby got Chorizo Omelette with hashbrowns and pancakes, and the kids both had the Mickey Mouse Pancake with sausage. It might have been a manager that came around and asked if food came out correctly. She also offered to put whipped cream on the kids pancakes. The crab cake benedict comes with two poached eggs, crab cakes, tomato on a naan pita bread, spring mix, and it's topped with hollandaise sauce and sprinkled with chives. The avocado was plain (no seasoning) on soft multi grain bread and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash was the worst I've ever had! It had the texture of canned meat or dog food and the flavor wasn't good either. My latte was good, but considering I ordered an extra shot of espresso, it was very weak! Went to the Eggsquisite Cafe in Frisco today. I ordered the gluten-free waffle as always. I'm a creature of habit and those waffles are normally excellent. Today was the exception! The first one I received was so chewy and tasteless like yesterday's bread had been microwaved. I sent it back told them that I felt like it was undercooked, so they made another one which took about half an hour. The second one turned out to be just like the first one it was really chewy and stale. Trying to be kind, I told the waitress it was slightly better than the other but still very chewy and stale. All she could say was well it's gluten free, and they're not as good as the regular waffles. I have always ordered gluten-free waffles when I go because they have the best, so I did not find this as a logical explanation. Perhaps they've changed the recipe or perhaps they were just microwaving them I'm not sure but these were the worst waffles I've ever tried to eat. I've had better gluten-free toaster waffles than those things. Just to make matters worse the waitress treated my friend "of color" as if she didn't exist or at best as an afterthought. The whole experience was awful. And I'm afraid this will be the last time I ever go there. read more

This is a cute breakfast spot that has a bright and clean interior. We had great, personable service. The breakfast menu is pretty large but we all went with the skillets. They were served in bowls which was a bit awkward for those of us who needed to cut the steak. I went with their namesake, the Eggsquisite Skillet and found it to be lacking. Even from first glance the presentation was a bit drab and messy, not appetizing looking at all. If it's called a skillet, I would expect it to be presented piping hot in a mini skillet, filled to the brim with goodness.
