The omelette was fine, I think for the ingredients that were used it could have used a little more flavor or some pico to top it off or at least on the side as an option. My friend suggested Eqqsquite Cafe for brunch this past weekend. It is located conveniently off of Warren and the Dallas North tollway near the Star. Walking into the restaurant I was immediately struck with the quiet elegance of the decor. They certainly had thoughtful touches throughout but it wasn't too much. As a designer, to me, that is the first step, always. They used faux greenery for moments of color and collaboration throughout the space which I appreciated. The overall tone of the restaurant is cool and white, the walls, the tables. It had a very fresh appeal. Nice gold hanging pendant lighting. We met for a late brunch, around 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon and were sat right away. Looking at the menu at first, we did not know if Mimosa was available or not. We are definitely of the mindset that a brunch is not complete without mimosa. We actually even talked about staying if they did not offer them. To our great pleasure, we saw another table being served flutes, very much looking like a champagne drink. After a substantial wait, our waitress checked in with us and assured us that yes mimosas were available and were on the way. They were served warm which was a bit strange so we did add a bit of ice, that felt pretty sacrilegious to me. The menu offerings were what you would expect of a brunch place, omelettes, skillets, waffles etc. We both opted for a skillet, I tried the Santa Fe and my friend tried the Eggsquisite skillet. We both opted for a side of fruit. My friend was picking out the large chunks of roasted red peppers in her meal, she thought that it did not compliment the variety of ingredients in it. I thought the Santa Fe was quite tasty but the fresh jalapenos were very spicy and I ended up picking out most of them. The fruit was a bit firm, was a variety of cantaloupe, pineapple and honeydew. We stayed for a while and chatted and noticed them pushing the bill, we did then realize they closed at 3:00 so finished up our drinks and moved on to our next destination. If you are looking for a quaint spot for brunch in the Frisco area, be sure to give them a try, but be mindful of the closing time. read more

She also got my girlfriend's order wrong when it came to substitutions. - The taste of the burrito was bland. The rumors are true - Eggsquisite Cafe is Eggcellent! Corny I know. I was looking for a new brunch spot last Sunday while in the area and stumbled upon Eggsquisite. The place was packed with people waiting to be seated. After a short wait without reservation/check-in (about 10 minutes), I was seated. The restaurant is cute and bright. My waiter greeted me promptly, and was friendly, attentive, and quick. I ordered an iced latte, a mimosa, and steak and eggs with a side of pancakes. Everything was really good except there were some chewy parts of the steak and the pancakes were tough! I think the pancakes might have been sitting under a heat lamp or on the stove a little too long. They were my least favorite part of the meal. If it weren't for everything else being good, and the service being great, the decent prices, I would give this review 4 stars instead of 5 for those pancakes. I have been to many brunch/breakfast restaurants all over North Dallas and surrounding areas, and this is one of the only places I've found so far that has steak and eggs on the menu, much less for a decent price! My partner so happened to be the only Black customer in the restaurant, and despite being seated before three other parties, we were ignored for over 15 minutes while those parties were served drinks and began ordering. We had about two hours to kill and decided to give this cafe a try based on the great reviews. We were seated right away in a very clean/cute space. Our server was very friendly. They have many options to chose from though I didn't see "brunch" per se on the menu (or mimosas but I did see some on a table that I must have missed on the menu) but there was a lot to chose from. My only disappointment was the lemon poppyseed pancakes. They were fluffy fresh pancakes but had absolutely no lemon in the batter. They seemed more like regular packages with only a lemon frosting. It wasn't really what I expected. I did swap it out for lingonberry crepes which were a much better option. Overall a good experience. I would recommend if you are in the area. read more

We used to be regulars here, but the last few visits it felt like the place was slipping. Prices went up, food quality went down, and there's just too many other places who get these things right. The deal killer was when the order of toast was just untoasted bread - the chef and waiter both missed this. Sent it back to be toasted. Came back untoasted again, and again, both the chef and server messed it up again. That's ok, and I just gave up, didn't bother to finish my meal. And we left. I mean, if you're a breakfast place and you can't get toast right, well.... At checkout the Asian lady manager, mentioning this only to be specific who it was, and who we've seen many times, and who has seen us as her customers many times, asked about our experience. Respectfully told her and her staff standing next to her listening, that it was not as good as it has been in the past, explained the situation to her, and she apologized for it. A good manager would have comped the meal (which was left noticeably uneaten), or done something similar. However she chose to pass on that opportunity. That penny-wise, dollar-foolish and poor service approach cost her and her restaurant an honest and low rating, lost her some regular customers, and set a poor example to her staff. read more

They gave him some thick texas toast for the sourdough. He said it did not taste at all like sourdough and chose not to eat it. He said the pancakes were ok, but only ate half of one. The service, the food, the ambiance-it's all fantastic and inviting. This is the type of place I could see becoming a family tradition to visit weekly. Memories can be made here.
