The inventory selection here is AMAZING. Fox is almost has the inventory of a large chain, like Field and Stream, but it's small enough to have the homely-small-town-gunstore feeling. Every time I go in there I see something new, and it's not always just a few things. I think they probably have 7 large display cases full of handguns (with all the walls behind the counters covered with rifles), a 25 foot wall full of holsters and backpacks, and shelves all around filled with ammo, gear, attachments, and even a display case with some great quality cutlery and collector's items. The range upstairs is great. I think it goes out to about 75 feet, and the ventilation system is fantastic, very high-quality. The Range Safety Officers I've met here are pleasant, old-school guys that are always willing to lift a helping hand to correct something, give tips when asked, and even call out shots for me when I'm alone at the range. I know there was an incident that happened here last year and I don't know the details, but I've been shooting here since that happened without any worries whatsoever. I'm confident that Fox employees handled everything with professionalism and safety. They carry Federal as a range ammo in general, which I find to be quite expensive compared to Midwest or some other remanufactured rounds, but higher quality range ammo has a specific feeling that makes me want to use it more. I don't shoot at Fox often for the simple fact that I live in Cincinnati now, but when I do go next I will probably take some remanufactured rounds to fire. That's my only dislike about Fox, and that's a personal one, nothing major.

I'm so torn. On one hand, I love that there is a public shooting range available. I was also…read morepleasantly surprised by the kind range officer, who even provided us a used target. However... The port-a-potties are putting off enough smell and methane to kill a small village; the gagging starts in the parking lot. The public which frequents this place think they're all Buffalo Bill in the Wild West. Very few honored the gentleman's code for cease fire when it was called, and at least half were smoking. How about some common courtesy in seriously close quarters? No metal targets, no rapid sequential fire (not even a double pull), no brass collection containers, no brooms, no space-allowance on the free-for-all tables/benches (one smoking old guy pushed my stuff aside to squeeze himself in next to me!), and no basic decency by gun owners. After inhaling more tar and "poo gas" than anyone should be subjected to in a lifetime, and getting burned by hot, flying casings more than once, we finally packed up and left. We won't be back.

I have been going to this outdoor shooting range for over a year now and I could not be happier. The range staff is top notch safety range officers and are more than happy to assist you in any way they can. Just make sure you follow safety protocols when handling a firearm and follow their specific instructions or you will be addressed appropriately. I love coming here because of the fact that it is an outdoor setting and the facility is very well kept up. You can shoot both paper and steel targets and two shooting positions to practice on. The price is very reasonable and it's even cheaper if you have an ODNR pass. I go out of my way to go there ( approx 30 min from my home ) because I know that when I get there, I will be treated professionally and courteously and I feel valued as a loyal repeat customer. Trap, skeet, 5-stand, sporting clay…read more This was a super fun morning! We did the 100 sporting clays targets($42). There were 16 stations, 2 had 8 shots and the rest were 6. We did the red course which was mostly in the woods and a few were out in the open. The whole course took about 2.5 hours to complete and it was so much fun. Each station can be operated solo, with a friend or in a group. There was no rush and they even allow a test run of A & B so you can see where the clays are coming from. I can't wait to come back and try the Blue course and the other options they have. The course prices are a really good deal. My only complaint was that there was not enough signage to the clubhouse or on the course itself. We spent a little more time than needed looking for the clubhouse as well as walking around some extra paths unnecessarily. Now that I have been there and done the course it will be much easier to figure it out.

To be quite honest, I was not sure what to expect as a novice just getting into…read moreshooting/CCW/defense. I expected a few chuckles here and there from experienced gun enthusiasts who could spot my inexperience like it was tattooed on my forehead; since you can't see much below my eyes with my face mask anyway. Thus far, I have been incredibly grateful for for not only the knowledgeable staff but their grace and the dignity extended to me in recognizing that I'm still learning. Not ONE staff member has exhibited any hint of arrogance or amusement at my inexperience. Contrary to my expectation, every staff member with whom I have had the pleasure to work has been friendly, encouraging, engaging, attentive, experienced, and educational. The range officers have been excellent, one of whom even took a few minutes to help me fine-tune my grip and stance to get the best aim and maintain the most control of my firearm. Honestly, my hat is off to these men and women because I appreciate their roles. They will absolutely call you out if they see something that even hints at being unsafe. The store is impeccably clean and organized, it's spacious so you're not forced to be crammed into a tiny area waiting or help. I think the longest I've EVER waited there was maybe 5 minutes -- but maybe that's just because I don't go during prime times -- and that was after allowing another person to go ahead of me because I was still deciding about whether to start a membership. Spoiler alert: I did and it's been worth every penny. To be fair, I have nothing to compare this place to as Shoot Point Blank, Lewis Center is the only range I've visited. But I can say with conviction that other ranges I may visit will have a pretty high standard to live up to in order to even match Shoot Point Blank in Lewis Center.
