We had an awesome first experience at Effin Egg Yakima! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband had the El Jefe burrito with tots, I ordered Jax's Sausage, Egg & Cheese biscuit sandwich, and our son loved the kids' pancakes. We also tried the Georgia Peach Energizer and the "Shut the Eff Up" drink--both were refreshing and a perfect addition to our meal. The food is served in to-go boxes, so if that's what you're looking for, this place is for you. The pancakes were kind of like crepes, more dense than usual. I liked them. One order is 3 good size pancakes. The eggs were extremely salty to the point of being inedible. The bacon looked like it had something sprinkled on it and it was also extremely salty. I like salt but it was too much even for me. The ambience was meh. Did have good '70s tunes playing though. There is no service. You order at the counter, you pick up at the counter, and you buss your own table. The man taking my order needed me to repeat it 3 times. Must have been new. read more

I am using 3 stars for average. I will update it if I ever get a chance to actually eat something there. My wife and another couple stopped there on Saturday 2/22/2024. I was looking forward to something like Einstein Bagels that I had been to in Tucson which was always great. With the place about 50% full (no idea how many take out orders) I was informed by a very polite front of the house gentleman that it would be about 25-30 minutes to get food. In the restaurant industry the benchmark is 12 minute ticket times. I was hungry and chose to go somewhere else. Not waiting half an hour for a toasted bagel with an egg on it that really should only take a few minutes. They had a lot of staff there so not sure why they were melting down and not keeping up. Worst place I've ever eaten in yakima, even worse than that chinese buffet on north 1st a few years back. Our order took 37 minutes to get there, portions were cold and very small, my wife's virgin pancakes were very tough to chew on, my fries were cold n smothered with way too much sour cream n cold melted white cheese, they gave us tots which were hard and cold. Not sure about all of the poor reviews. Maybe we've been lucky but it's always been on point every time we've gotten it. Our favorites are the brioche brisket bfast sandwiches, the sausage biscuits (turkey sausage, but the biscuits are amazing), and the biscuits and gravy. Next tier down for us have been the OG and the breakfast burritos. All in all, they offer better casual quick breakfast items than anything else my wife and I have tried. read more

Worst breakfast (if you can even call it that) EVER. No one acknowledged us. We found a menu which was very limited. I ordered a small stack of pancakes ($7.00) and a side of bacon ($6.00) and husband ordered a sandwich. They were not busy, and had 4 or 5 cooks, all teenagers. You have to go up to the counter to place your order. Same when it's done, you have to go get it yourself. After more than a half hour wait, I was surprised to see that all the food is served in to-go containers. You're responsible for finding your own plastic utensils. My pancakes were two inch wide and a half thick, ice cold, tasteless hockey pucks. What a disappointment and complete waste of money. I've never been to jail, but I imagine this is what prison food is like. read more

Came here for breakfast and ordered a side of diced potatoes. I got what I ordered, microwaved diced potatoes with a sprinkle of paprika. I was expecting country fried diced potatoes with my lukewarm biscuits and gravy. I was able to get a refund on the potatoes but only after I was told that is how they come. I won't be coming back. First of all we get there and it's a complete mess, sandwiches laid all on the countertops, so im guessing all that food was cold. We order after they had said it was going to be a 45 min wait which we weren't concerned about then I noticed an employee on grill making food while he was running his fingers through his shoulder length hair with his gloves. disgusting. we didn't have an appetite anymore after waiting so long we decided to approach the employees and turns to find our food had been in someone else's bag which is even more disturbing and so we decided to get the food and the refund and left after we wanted to try this place so bad it turned out to be the worst place we actually have been too read more

I arrived with my son about 10:45 on a Saturday. Employees outnumbered customers 2:1. None of the 7+ employees wanted to take my order. Finally we ordered 2 OG breakfast sandwiches. Then the wait started. In the 40 minutes that followed we experienced a wide range of emotions, including curiosity, confusion, frustration and anger. After 30 minutes I made inquiry as to the status of the food. I was told by an employee (who consulted with several others in formulating a response) that our order was next. Ten minutes later my $10 breakfast sandwich arrived. The food was very good. If I could get the food with a 10 minute wait I would be willing to endure the mass of disaffected workers that I am required to interact with to acquire the food. I would be a regular customer. Unfortunately, the management/ownership is either: (a) in way over their heads; (b) underfinanced; and/or (c) lacking in perception to a degree that is almost clinically fascinating. Even a child could tell them many of the things that are wrong. I'm not going to get into it but I will mention this was my third attempt to go to this place.
