YIKES!! Long story summarized, turns out a previous roof job (thanks to the ice storm of the century) done by another company a few weeks prior to this installation was done horribly rushed and incorrect (sloppy is more accurate). Given leaks appeared immediately after this install I naturally assumed it was Daylight Rangers fault. After calling Peter and informing him of the leak he immediately showed up to assess. Peter immediately identifying the issue was NOT one he had created and willingly offered to fix the job correctly (*insert mind blown emoji here!!). Super Peter ACTIVATE! Watching Peter work was like watching Michael Jordan at his PRIME!! Every detail, every angle, every crevasse was attended to perfection. Peter moved like 3 men half his age, in their prime with previous gymnast experience! After several hours of being completely and totally IN AWE at watching a master at work (just peaking in as not to disturb his Jedi flow) I wouldn't of been surprised at him doing a back flip of the roof, sticking the landing and King Kong chest pounding when the job was done!! I cannot state enough how INCREDIBLE this company is. They stopped working and the response from Tesla is terrible…read more It takes months to get an appt via Tesla app. After waiting months for an appt my account was deleted from the app and there is no way to contact anyone for support. The phone and website all refer you to articles. The app has no way to contact support. The Tesla dealer can only send an email and the Tesla energy location is now closed. Why would anyone trust the brand Tesla with this level of service. Sure glad I never purchased their cars. You cannot contact Tesla energy via phone, app, Chat or email. Ridiculous lack of customer support.

Finding it odd to see poor reviews here on Yelp (some from the previous decade!) as our experience…read morehas been the opposite. Our original system was a SolarCity installation back in 2013, over a decade ago. When Tesla took over everything was working well, but over the next several years our system began to have some issues due to rodent damage. THANKFULLY, this is covered by Tesla and all of our panels were replaced with no issue and at no expense to us or our insurance company. (Side benefit: they've learned a few things over the years. The new panels sit MUCH closer to the roof and have a nice skirt to keep rodents out:-) Soon thereafter we found out that our original inverters (like most, apparently) had a lifespan of about 9 to 10 years: the replacements were ALSO COVERED 100% under Tesla's 20-year warranty. Sadly, however, their supplier for the original inverters (Aurora) was having significant issues with quality in their factory-rebuilt inverters. I sent an email off to Tesla advising that both of our replacement inverters weren't working well and Tesla stepped up: they apologized for their supplier's issues and replaced our two Aurora inverters with a brand new Tesla-built inverter that was far more attractive, with a smaller footprint, yet more powerful! In closing, while we have had issues over time (to be expected with a system over a decade old), Tesla Energy stepped up and solved them every time, without issue. The only negative is that much of this took place during COVID so there were some delays in the process, but overall we are completely satisfied with our Tesla Energy solar panels and the massive power they produce. (They have paid for themselves many times over--I tell people they just sit there and print money for us:-) p.s. One last thing: note that if you decide to get solar panels from "Joe Shmoe and Sons Solar Company," you may find yourself in a bind. Years later, with a lot of warranty issues, yet trying to find a small company that no longer exists--that could result in many thousands of dollars in repair costs that should have been "ZERO/WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR." It is far, far better to go with a company like Tesla that will be around for decades or centuries to come as then a 20-, 25-, or 30-year warranty is actually worth something . . . .
