I chose them because they had the best rating there and the lowest price. I booked them online through U-haul, and Nick, the owner called me the same day to confirm and to go over my move. I had a simple move, but I had big pieces of furniture that I knew I needed help. Through no fault of Nick's, I had to change my move date several times because of my schedule. and each time I called Nick to let him know I needed to change, he was really sweet and patient. Finally, my move date arrived, and two guys (walter and another guy, whose name i forgot) showed up. but before they did, they called me the day of to confirm time. and then about an hour before, they called to let me know they were going to be half an hour late, which worked out well for me. and then called me 15 minutes before they arrived to let me know where they are. The backed the truck up to my door, loaded all my stuff up, drove over to my new place, and moved all the stuff in. I had labeled the boxes as to where they went, so they quickly put them where they belonged. They were also very quick about disassembling my furniture, and re-assembling my furniture. When I have to move again, I'll definitely be calling them to do it for me.

Unfortunately, in my apartment complex there is only floor level access via the parking garage which does not fit moving trucks and there are no elevators in my complex either. Alex lifted some pretty heavy items up two flights of stairs to drop off in the new unit. These are items I had a hard time even dragging around my apartment. Was given quote for 4 guys, only had 3 show which took 2 hours longer than 6 hours quoted but was also charged for an extra 3rd hour, which they took an hour lunch. They took huge chunks out of the Sheetrock in the walls & scratched up several pieces of furniture that were in perfect condition before. Drug furniture across wood floors. Our platform beds were not properly reassembled and all bolts were not put back in. Ended up costing almost $1000 more than quote. Plus they added a $300 truck fee which was never discussed or in the initial quote. I paid it with the chaos of moving. Addressed everything with owner next day, sending pictures of damaged walls etc. never heard back from them again! I wasn't asking for them to pay for any repairs or anything but an apology would have been nice. I wouldn't recommend if you value your property.

Yes, the hourly rate goes towards 3 movers and their truck and tools, but the other two movers stayed outside of the house idly waiting for the other guy to wrap one piece of furniture at a time. Luckily I had some friends and family to help me because they helped me load and later unload my items which expedited a process that PowerMoverz dragged on The biggest offense came at the end when my time came out to 2 hours and 10 minutes and main guy told me that they round up BY THE HOUR so I would be charged for 3 hours. He got angry when I asked him where that's listed in the contract. All in all, my PowerMoverz experience was extremely disappointing.
