I called up at 7pm to ask if they had a menu online, I was directed to Hungry Horse and I asked if I should ring back to order direct. He said yes, so at 7:14pm I phoned my order in and was quoted a 30-45 minute timescale
At 8:24pm it hadn't arrived, so I called up and was told that it was on it's way.
It arrived about 8:30pm, half cold, soggy, and looking like it had been sitting around for a while. We ordered an Efes Special and a load of sides to share between the two of us. The menu clearly stated two chicken kebabs and two shish as part of the special. We got two bits of chicken and one shish! Given the cold food, inaccurate description, and delay, my girlfriend phoned up to complain
The man was rude and said that they were busy hence the delay. Fine, if you're busy, don't quote me an unrealistic delivery time! About the lack of food he said 'Well you ordered using the Hungry Horse menu which has got errors on it' Ok, so that's clearly not my fault is it? That's something they need to sort out themselves, which she pointed out to them. She asked for £5 compensation from our £15 bill, which after him trying to work out the cost of chicken, he finally agreed to and we were told that the driver would bring the money back the same evening.
The delivery man bought the money back, I apologised for him having to come back and said something like 'Well the menus wrong, the food was cold, and it was much later than I was told. I had no issue with the delivery man, and despite the delay I tipped him when he delivered earlier in the evening. As he was walking back to the car he turned back to me and said 'You can tell your missus it wasn't late, I delivered it 46 minutes after it was ordered!' I corrected him and he argued back again saying that the orders are logged onto a system and he repeated the 46 minute thing. I said 'Well maybe the order wasn't put on immediately, hence the delay and confusion' I was then told that we "Weren't allowed to ring them again!' I asked if he really thought that I would bother to use them again? No is my answer, not ever!
A complete waste of time and money, and a bit of politeness and an apology from them instead of blaming me for their errors, would have seen me not wasting more time writing this review. read more
