I have been attempting to resolve a serious issue with EECU since November 2025, and the level of mismanagement and lack of accountability is unacceptable. After receiving written confirmation that my account was closed on December 1, 2025, EECU failed to actually close it. Fees began accruing the very next day due to their internal error, ultimately resulting in collections activity and damage to my credit. Between November 2025 and March 2026, I made 11 separate good-faith attempts to resolve this matter, including phone calls, in-person visits at a branch, email correspondence, and even online chat. Despite these extensive efforts, I was repeatedly given inconsistent and conflicting information by multiple representatives, and no one took ownership of correcting what is clearly an internal failure. What is particularly concerning is EECU's response to a Better Business Bureau complaint, where they claimed attempts had been made to resolve this matter and implied that my husband and I were simply dissatisfied with the outcome. This is categorically inaccurate. At no point did EECU meaningfully address the central issue: that my account was confirmed closed on December 1, 2025, yet remained active due to their error, resulting in improper fees and credit damage. Even now, EECU has failed to correct the improperly assessed fees or repair the negative impact to my credit. I have also not been provided with a clear, itemized accounting distinguishing legitimate charges from fees incurred after the account should have been closed. This experience reflects serious breakdowns in internal processes, staff training, and customer accountability. If I could I would give them negative stars. I went to bed one night with almost $1200 in the bank, when I woke up I was -several hundred in the black!!! There were only a few pending charges and then there were many more. They charged me 14 overdraft fees and would accept no responsibility. Without the fees I wouldn't have been overdrawn. It is a scam, so unfair. Do not bank here-run! read more

Wearing and mask and set appointment online only to roll up and be told by a rude security guard to go around the drive thru. Told them to park again and come inside only to be told to wait for 15 minutes in the lobby. What are the appointments for? No apologies and not very courteous. The banking is satisfactory, I guess but the staff was very disappointing. I even tried to be cheerful, but this place is seems somber and awkward. read more

Not a review of this location but EECU overall. I have a car loan with this institution. Due to a mistake by my bank, EECU did not receive one of the payments for a check that I wrote, though the money *was* taken out of my account. Granted, the mistake was made by my bank, not by EECU. However, EECU was not nearly as helpful as they should have been in helping me to get this resolved. I had to go back and forth with them and the bank several times before this got resolved. (Assuming it's resolved now, as that's what the bank is telling me at least.) One of EECU's representatives, whom I'll be happy to name if asked, emailed me about not having received the payment but stopped responding to my emails as I tried to work with him in getting the issue resolved. The way EECU handled the whole situation, I'm probably being too nice in giving them two stars. Very disappointing experience. read more

Don't waste your time with EECU. I went to them for a debt consolidation loan. I have perfect credit, over 800 credit score, never been late on a payment, no blemishes at all. They declined my application as I had too much debt. Duh! That is why I am wanting to consolidate my bills and make one lower payment. They were rude and condescending. Not helpful at all. I will never use this credit union for anything ever. read more

Purchased a vehicle from a dealership that chose to use EECU for the loan. The low interest rate appealed to me and I was indifferent to which company serviced the loan. The problems started when I tried to set up the automatic payments - 3 different people on the phone and not one of them capable of making that happen. No problem (I thought), I'll just pay it online each month - wrong again. EECU uses an external agency to process their payments but that agency lacks the competency or care to set up my account so that I can pay my bill online. Each month I have to call one of EECU's seemingly uncaring and slightly condescending employees who insists that I pay an $11 fee because I am not using the auto pay system. Genius!! read more

Loan officer/ mgt doesn't show any interest in helping you out. Seems very condescending, looks like they themselves don't even know what promotions they offer. Horrible products that EECU offers. They keep pushing this beat your auto rate by 2%, couldn't extend credit bc I didn't have enough "auto history" what does that even mean. Went to NASA FCU got the loan instantly approved with no payments until October 2016. Simple process all done online and with a competitive auto rate. Don't use this credit union bc all they will do is put if and buts and run your credit just to tell you they can't do anything with a 760 credit score bc you don't have enough "auto history". read more

I decided to walk in to this very nice/new EECU that just opened my neighborhood, because I just purchased a new vehicle and EECU picked up the loan. I wanted more information about their checking/savings products; I have never experienced a credit union! The front desk "young lady" wanted every detail as to why I needed a banker; and was very confused as to why I did not have a checking account? If I have an auto loan I must have a checking/saving account! She asked for my name address and SS# to tell me that I should just go online to access my information and manage my accounts! I was under the impression that credit unions were more customer focused.... But I was wrong! read more
