He does careful work, is fair in his pricing (if he isn't sure that he made a correct diagnosis and repair he will wait a week to bill and he has even billed me for half a service call for tiny jobs), gives good advice, is trustworthy, and has a very reassuring manner (many plumbing calls involve at least some degree of panic!). The only negative is that he is busy so if you have water gushing NOW he probably won't be able to get there in time. He also does not do emergency night and weekend jobs any longer.

I contacted Anderson Plumbing during the long holiday weekend and they were able to come out quickly on Tuesday morning. They used a camera to inspect the line and a hydro-jetter to clear the roots in just about an hour. Both of the technicians were very knowledgeable and helped answer my questions about preventative maintenance and more serious solutions going forward. In total it cost $550, but these are not tools you can buy or use on your own, so well worth the cost.

The plumber used shark bite style connectors, but didn't secure it to the structure of the house so it slopped around. The next call was to repair an upstairs shower drain. Two men showed up. I had already cut a small section of the ceiling below to assess what happened. The used a Wingtite Shower Drain Replacement, which installs entirely from the top. The older of the two then said there wasn't enough room to build a p-trap. He said he could do 1" pipe and it would fit between the floors. When he finished the p-trap was completely below the plane of the ceilings drywall. I told him this was unacceptable. He rebuilt it, but we still had to shave a significant amount of drywall from the ceiling patch. I would NOT recommend Anderson Plumbing

I called F & S Wiliams at about 4pm and explained what was going on and they saif were going to send someone at night. I told them that wasnt necessary and I got a call from the technician the next morning and he was promptly at my house. Chris showed up and was professional and courteous. I explained him what i knew and what I had tried and he was able to run a few tests and diagnose that the system was freezing up. He explained to me the cost of refrigerant and offered to put that price in writing. I said that it was not necessary because F & S had been a good service for me 9 years ago when another company in town improperly installed my AC unit. Chris charged the system and encouraged questions. He stressed how important customer service is to him and his boss and any questions I had were not interfering with him. After the service was complete, he offered to bill me and I told him if I could use a card or check I could pay right now. He said card or check was acceptable and we settled up right there. It will be 95 degrees tomorrow outside but inside my house it will be a comfortable 68 degrees thanks, in part, to Chris and F & S Williams. I have used them before and if needed, I would not hesitate to use them again.

The price that was quoted seemed a bit high to start with and before I had an opportunity to discuss the absolute lack of details... literally the quote was the boat basic description and a price written onto a piece of paper and handed to me... They quickly pulled out their flip book of "added items" that they could provide me with. Laughably it included their own extended warranty... so if I pay the already high price I get a shorter warranty than if I agree to pay an even higher price? Additionally their extended warranty included "quicker appointment scheduling". So people that don't pay extra get to be ignored for longer? This whole process felt more like a shake down than anything else. Additionally the job was described in illusive and vague terms as to why the price was so high. Unfortunately for them, they never asked why I was calling them to begin with. I'm more than capable of doing the job myself but at the time I had other more pressing priorities and I needed this done for me. Ultimately I ended up calling another local plumber and he came out same day, completed the job in 3 hours, but a full day, and did it for 40% less without the hassle of trying to upsell his own work. He also said that he'd be happy to come back out if any issues came up in the next year at no cost. I am leaving this review as 3-star because I am giving them credit for being decent plumbers despite being miserable salesman. Leave the upselling for the fast food drive thru and restaurants. No reputable company should be pushing costly upgrades without clear, verifiable justification--especially not to vulnerable customers. Shame on Summers for what appears to be predatory behavior.
