Nothing but positive things to say about Edwards Appliance Service. While it required multiple visits authorized through Whirlpools service, scheduling was consistently easy and everyone I talked to and worked with was consistently PLEASANT. Kathy was kind and easy to talk to and Freddy, the repair tech, was exceptionally efficient in his repairs. Very, very satisfied with my overall experience and heavens forbid my awful, overpriced Kitchenaide dishwasher fails again, I at least know it will be serviced by a great company. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the attitude and lack of professionalism shown by the receptionist/coordinator at Edwards Plumbing Service. I was given a scheduled service window of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by the company. Around 10:00 a.m., I contacted Edwards to ask whether she could provide a more specific timeframe for the technician's arrival. She simply repeated the 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. window. I then asked if she could contact the technician to obtain a more accurate estimate, and she refused. When I asked if I could contact the technician directly, she again said no and told me she would call me when he was on his way. That call never came. The technician did not arrive until 2:00 p.m. and did not leave until 3:00 p.m., well outside the service window provided by your company. This demonstrates a complete lack of respect for a customer's time. The receptionist's dismissive attitude and unwillingness to assist made it clear that customer concerns were not a priority, which is unacceptable. P.S. I guess the service tech Ray was great. read more

Kathy is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT to date that I have dealt with! After asking for clarification, her shrill was deafening & her manners nonexistent all because I asked for more information. I have a brand new Frigidaire. She kept stating that I had to pay $120 for a service call on a BRAND NEW refrigerator that additionally has a 3-year warranty. This was the company that Albo suggested? This woman should NEVER be in a position dealing with the public. Obviously, I am NOT the only one who was the target of this hateful human. She screamed at me & hung up & then answered my negative Google review with false statements! Get rid of her! She is heinous!!! On 9/14/2025 at 2pm a technician from Edwards Appliance Service responded for a washer repair. I was out of the office and my Assistant received and placed the invoice ($127.95) on my desk and texted a copy. On 9/15/2025 at 9am I receive a call from crude Kathy,"I'm calling from Edwards Appliance for payment"!!! I was confused, it was less than 24 hours and she was calling demanding payment AND I WAS a prior customer with no payment problems. Kathy tried to compare her payment demand as the policy which of course does not appear on the invoice. Kathy tried to compare technician service to eating at a restaurant. Very happy with my experience. Our Wolf cooktop needed some tlc. Kathy provided me with many times that worked for my schedule. Fred was friendly, prompt, detailed, knowledgeable and gave me some great tips. The store where I bought it from suggested another service company who was almost twice as much for diagnostic fee and couldn't get here any sooner. After visiting Wolf's website for service providers I am glad I chose Edwards Appliance and would definitely recommend their services. read more

It's difficult to find an experienced appliance repair company to fix Viking Pro appliances. They sent out Ray who diagnosed the issue, ordered the part and returned quickly the next week and all is good. Now our Spped Queen gas dryer needs repair and they can repair this as well. Three weeks to schedule the initial visit. Tech comes out, diagnoses something with the freezer. It works when he leaves...10 min later, it's broken again. Another 2.5 weeks to come back. Now, he diagnoses a new - and more credible - problem after another 10-15 min of work. The replacement part is available in 1-2 days, but of course, it's another another 2.5 weeks for Edwards Appliance to come back. Comes out again, no notice on timing, and no one is at the house so the tech won't do the job. The next time available is 2 more weeks out. I say screw it, just give me the part and I'll hire someone else. Meanwhile, I popped the part in myself in 45 minutes of work with no experience. Edwards dragged their feet for 7 weeks, charged me hundreds, and wanted hundreds more for a 2 hour fix that I did in 45 min The problem is from the office (Cathy or Kathy). You need either more capacity, or a less tight schedule. You have one guy who can do these jobs, and he has absolutely zero margin for error when something happens. Steer clear. read more

WeI have been using Edwads Applicance repair since 2005. We did a kitchen renovation and immediately had dishwasher issues. After 2 separate repair companies, hired by the appliance store we purchased all of the kitchen eqiupment , failed to resolve the issue we called Fred at Edwards appliance. Fred figured out the issue and helped to resolve it with the contractor that did the work. SInce then we have used Edwards for all of our appliance repair needs. Recently we thought we were going to need a new side by side freezer door (now $1,000 - which basically meant we needed to spend 2K+ for a new box.) The mechanism inside the dispenser unit that held the door that opens and closes to dispense the ice broke and parts literally fell onto the floor. Enter Ray from Edwards. He took the time to see what was wrong, and his team found an aftermarket assembly replacement for the original one. Was not the same manufacturer but his experience told him we had a good shot that it would fit and work. IT DID! YEAH..... Our thanks to Ray and the Edwards Appliance team. I called them 3 times with detailed messages before someone called me back to tell me that the part would have to be ordered and they would call me when it was received to schedule an appointment. I waited 7 days and then called again -- 3 more times -- to see if the part ever came in, including a frustrated message saying that I would look elsewhere if they didn't return my call that night. Where do I begin? Perhaps with the ever-so-courteous-and-customer-friendly "Kathy". CLEARLY, the owner of this business has never had to deal with this snarly woman on the phone! In December, I called to schedule an appointment for washer repair. As the washer was only 8 months old, I was referred to them by the manufacturer. "Kathy" could give lessons in how NOT to handle business calls. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING professional about this woman!!! The ONLY reason that I can think of as to why any business would have someone such as this be in the position of "first contact" representing them is that she MUST be either the owner's wife or family member. Any business owner with the SMALLEST sense of proper "customer service" would even CONSIDER hiring her. Now to the repair service: repairman "Fred" showed up, evaluated the problem, and pronounced that I needed a new computer board. Since he did not have one "at the shop", he would have to order it from ANOTHER SHOP, NOT THE FACTORY; and we would be charged a "shipping fee" of $12.00. (I still don't understand why he didn't order the part from Maytag, as the machine was still under warranty.) A week-and-a-half later, I was so fortunate to have to deal with the arrogant "Kathy". As I had to take my husband to a doctor's appointment that day, my granddaughter was home when "Fred" arrived. He replaced the computer board, and was quite annoyed that I had forgotten to leave the $12.00 "shipping fee". I promptly called the lovely "Kathy" and paid the fee. (I might add, a polite "thank you" was not forthcoming!) I then proceeded to do the laundry. The washer began making a "knocking" noise, which had NEVER happened before. When I started the washer for a second load, it began to knock very loudly and vibrate to a point that it frightened me! When I pulled the plug to turn it off, the plug sparked at the outlet! Again, I contacted MAYTAG, but asked for a different repairman. When he arrived, he examined the machine and discovered that "Fred" had ordered and installed the WRONG COMPUTER BOARD!!!!! Now, after NUMEROUS attempts to get this washer working, MAYTAG refuses to do anything about my situation! NONE of this would have happened if "Fred" had known what he was doing in the first place, and I would not be going through the stress and aggravation of trying to have this situation rectified!!! So I didn't give a rating because there was not one offered that would qualify to describe my experience with Edwards Appliance Service, from start to finish. DEVASTATING AND DEPLORABLE doesn't even begin to describe the level of stress and aggravation they have caused, as I have been 7 WEEKS without a washer, trying to rectify the situation in which I find myself due to their incompetence. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. On September 20, I went back and forth on the phone to find an appointment that would work for me and my schedule. When I called back stating when I could be available, they gave that appointment away. Ok, not a big deal. I made an appointment for today 10/5 at 7:00. 7:15 rolls around and no one has come yet. So, I call and leave a message. They call me back and say they never put the appointment in their books. They apologized, but did not seem like they cared too much. The next available appointment to accommodate my schedule was 10/15. I was not about to wait another almost 2 weeks, as my over has not worked since 9/12. Edwards was recommended by our neighbor. An appointment was made for a week after I called. The appointment was scheduled for 7:30 AM on a Monday. I thought "no one comes to your home at 7:30 AM." Guess what? They were here promptly at 7:30. They replaced my garbage disposer quickly and efficiently. The cost was reasonable. We once needed a burner for an Electric Stove. When we called this place a rude woman answered the phone, then stated they had a used burner for $40.00 bucks. So I found a used burner for Free and replaced it myself. Simple Job and a New burner can be purchased for under $40.00 bucks also. My Wife & Grand Daughter went into this business establishment once and they said they'd never go back, because of ridiculous $$$$ Prices & Rudeness. Hes always kind, smiling, funny, fast, professional, explains exactly what the problem is and how and what the cost will be estimated of course! He comes in and out fast! He always cleans up after himself (well trained by his wife). He's a joy to deal with. Only problem is he's SO in demand be patient folks he is VERY worth the time and money. It's not so much as Edwards Appliance, it's one of their employees. Mike has been servicing my appliances for years now. Even before he worked at Edwards, Mike has been taking care of my appliances. Mike is always on time, polite and friendly. I had forgotten about my appointment one time and was about 20 minutes away from my house; I told Mike where the key to my house was located so he could get in and didn't have to wait. I am confused by the negative reviews. I used them twice. Once was 4 years ago when I purchased a GE combo microwave/oven wall unit; it was a lemon. The first repair service company GE sent out couldn't figure it out after 2 visits. (They are located in Sicklerville). But Edwards figured it out -- GE part was shipped right to my house. They installed it and it's been good for 4 years! The second repair they did for me was today. I called them for a Kenmore Washer that was grinding loudly. I called 9pm last night after hours. Owner Fred was here 1:45pm today -- had it repaired in 20 minutes flat. Very friendly and easy. He had the part -- a coupler, because he said it is a very common problem. We received our invoice from Edwards and submitted payment for the full amount invoiced. When Edwards received payment, a very unprofessional woman called accusing us of not submitting full payment. We had her fax over the invoice she had on file to compare with the invoice we had received from them. She had added a charge and altered the final totals claiming that the service tech never added the charge when he was out to check the appliance. I would have been more than happy to pay the additional $30 service charge if the woman had offered a new invoice or even an apology. But as soon as I started questioning the altered invoice I was told, "Well, don't call us for future repairs". I am all for helping the "mom-and-pop" shops out there...but when invoices start being altered and customer service is rude at best, I am more than willing to support the "big guys". read more

Ray the service man was super. Cathy in the office needs to take a lesson in customer service. She NEVER called with an update on the 2nd service call. Took her 5-6 weeks to email the 2nd service call's bill. Billed me twice for a control board. Charged me labor in the amount of $159.95 because the ice maker was off. Cathy yes the ice maker was off because it needed a new circuit board!!!! Charged an additional $90 for CT Labor??? Mind you I did NOT authorize her to charge my cc. Contacted U-Line corporate office and had same day response from them. Hope they cut loose this authorized dealer or send office people for a course in servicing. read more

Maybe people are only motivated to post a review when things go wrong, but I had an excellent experience with Edwards. My dishwasher conked out, and was less than two years old, so I knew it should be repaired and not replaced. The manufacturer agreed to fix under warranty and suggested Edwards as a nearby service provider. I called, explained, and they had to order part, but made the appointment. Linda, the woman that answers the phone is the WORST! She should be fired! After 2 months without a refrigerator, they sent out the repair person with incorrect parts and when we called and spoke with Linda, she told us to call the manufacuter to track the part ourselves. And then proceeded to hang up on my husband. This was actually the second time she hung up on him. Other times that I have called to find out when our refrigerator would be fixed, she gave me attitude. In a day and age when most companies are bending over backward to give good customer support, this woman, Linda is on the opposite end of the spectrum. And to top it off, they are charging us for the visit to our house today, even though nothing was fixed... because they didnt have the correct parts!! Crazy! read more

I just received service for my Whirlpool refrigerator today 5/29/20 from Edwards Appliance Service. The process of confirming the appointment time was a disaster. The woman /Admin on the other end of the phone was not accommodating at all. When I spoke to her earlier in the week she was only able to give me a day (today Friday) with no time slots. I expected at the very least to receive a call to confirm a time slot the day before. I did not receive such a call and called them myself at appx 3 pm that day before Thursday. I only got voice mail and left a detailed message with my request for a time, and my phone number. I received no call back that day. I got a call on Friday morning at 7:55 am telling me the Technician would be there between 8:30 - 10 am. I told the woman (Cathy?) that I called about this issue the afternoon before and she informed me that she leaves at 2 pm (and I assume does not check messages til the next day?). I asked why I did not recieve the appointment call then prior to 2 pm when she leaves? She said (with an attitude that was not very Customer Service oriented) "oh we tried doing that in the past and all it did was create problems"? I questioned that logic as EVERY service company does that not just for the Customer but for efficient planning purposes!!!! . . . ., and begrudgingly hung up as I needed the repair. Well the Technician (Ray ) showed up at 8 am . . .not 8:30 am as confirmed. I let him in, but was still not at all happy with this service. Well Ray should be complemented and appreciated for his Professional demeanor, ability, and overall great attitude. He showed up with mask and gloves so we appreciated that health concern. He acknowledged my frustration and apologized and did a GREAT job of analyzing the problem, and fixing it expeditiously. If I needed future Appliance help I would only use Edwards if I could request Ray! You should clone him and make that clone the head of Customer Service . . .than I would have gladly given 5 STARS !!! read more

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY...they are a NIGHTMARE! so expensive...they charge for a service call ..$95 then they charge multiple times to fix the same appliance! For example..your appliance needs the light fixed, a coil fixed and a door handle replaced...they charge the service call and then $30 for EACH thing they fix on the appliance!! TOTAL rip off ....don't be scammed! Doesn't even matter if the whole thing takes 20 minutes...which it did in my case..still racked up ridiculous labor charges!!! Lowe's scheduled this appointment for dishwasher repair on 6 month old D/W. It took at least two weeks to schedule. Tech arrived on time then said had to order a part and the company would order and receive. For three weeks no word, called Lowe's who called them and found out they hadn't ordered part yet. Another delay for another appointment, then day came, repair was done., Dishwasher totally didn't work, worse than previous problems. Had to use another company. Can't recommend. read more

Edwards fixed my washing machine while under warranty and serviced my dryer twice out of warranty. They were quick, on-time, reliable, and fairly priced. All technicians from Edwards have been courteous and quick. We will use them again should we need further servicing. read more

I am highly dissatisfied with this company... On April 24th called to put in claim for washer issuing E 14 and making load sound Took till May 1st to have a service tech come to my home. On the service visit the tech had no parts to make repairs for the E 14... Had made multiple calls 26th three parts where replaced. The washer worked for 8 days. On June 3 placed another complaint and spoke with person for schedule apt for same service tech to come back out and she will call back never did. Had to call again on the 4th and now have to wait till June 15 for yet another service call... This is not a good way to conduct a business ... I have expressed on many occasion that I have a family of 5 and it is very expressive to take clothing to a laundry matt.. Pretty much from April 24- to June 26th without my washer... (over a Month) 31 days Again for another 11 days before I have another person come back out. They have no way to reimburse not get someone out sooner. read more
