Some of the little cabins are original & some are new built to look like the original historic cabins. We LOVE the new built cabins that look Vintage. They are so adorable & so unique. It's obvious a lot of work went into them, the attention to detail is incredibly impressive. I mean they even decorated them in the Vintage fashion to the exact details of the era. Very Impressive. It was definitely a labor of love that went into this place. It's just breathtakingly beautiful in the morning fog & the sunsets are legend from this place. The "Delta" cabin is our fave, we love the back screened in porch. It's a shack, they are all just little shacks, but it's the most adorable shacks EVER. haha. "PLEASE BUILD MORE DELTA CABINS" I can't get reservations for my fave shack!!! LOL There are no tv's or anything it's just a shack, you're basically glamping so bring everything you need, especially bedding if you want to sleep a little more posh. That's what we do. The coolest thing here is the juke joint & blues bar that has live music. You can't even get a room here when the festival is going on. If you want to attend the festival you have to book a year in advance. Highest Recommendations.

There is an elegance about the beauty that is hard to find in homes today. "The Bridgewater School" was founded in 1911 and operated as such until 1960. It was assisted by the Rosenwald Fund in 1921 along with the Shelby County school board. Since being used as a school and community gathering place, it has also housed many travelers as a B&B. I'm not sure how other people set up or if it's always set up this way, but the main table was set up inside the largest room with a snack table set up next to it. The cake was set up on a pretty display in the room across from that. The DJ set up in the pavilion outside and we used the area in front of it as the dance floor. There was outside seating that we all took advantage of when it was time to do the first dance and everything else that comes with a wedding. There were waiters available to help serve drinks and clean up afterward. The bride and groom had actually set up a taco stand outside of the other exit so guests could go get tacos whenever they felt like it for the duration of the taco stand. It was a lot of fun and a great use of the limited space, imo. It didn't feel as tight as I was worried it would and everyone had a great time. I would totally love to come back here.
