I ended up doing three visits, and during each one she was patient, kind, thorough, and had every attribute I would expect of a good doctor. She's a bit old-school, but I found this approach to be genuinely helpful in her analysis. However, as another recent review stated, she is just completely IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. I have had billing questions for her and have left her no less than 4 phone messages and multiple emails as well, and have not heard a single word back. When I brought this up to her during an appointment last summer, she mentioned they had a new phone system, and maybe that's understandable for a few weeks--but it's now been over eight months of trying to get a hold of her, and she is completely unresponsive. Unfortunately, even though Dr Golob is a great doctor, I cannot recommend her unless you live next door and can just walk over to get in contact with her.

Dr. DeSantis was my diabetic specialist while he was in Chicago. Dr. DeSantis' greatest gift is he can think "out of the box" and does not give up. He sticks with difficult diagnostic cases, researches treatment options and speaks to patients in a compassionate and intelligent way. His medical style is organized, thoughtful, detailed, and he listens carefully to what the patient says and doesn't say (he has a good way of pulling out info that you may have forgotten). My only regret is that I don't live in Kirkland, Washington!

She wouldn't see me. My husband had to stay home from work to watch my kids so that I could go to this appointment. He lost money this morning so that I could go to this appointment. Now I have to drive 30 minutes home without seeing this doctor while we have lost money. This doctor is uncaring. I clearly was being very polite and told the front desk person that I was in a lot of unforeseen traffic. And yet the doctor continued to be uncaring and would not see me. How can I trust my body with an uncaring doctor? You decide for yourself but I am going to stay FAR away from this doctor Kim.
