As you can see, I have rated this place a 1 star.(would have rated it a zero star if possible) Here's why....
Moving from Houston, Texas was a extremely huge change for my family and I. Looking for an ideal after school for my child mattered a lot to me. We looked into it, and found a after school that looked good online. It's nice was Edu express.I went and looked into it. I then figured that visiting the place was the best thing to do. Approaching Edu, it had a lovely curve-appeal, looking at the inside, it was a completely different story. Stains on carpets...spots on walls. Spectating the kids with groans on their faces, depressed looks, at first sight, I knew for sure my kid would NOT be attending this place. I did even some more research and even found out some stories about the place....
They are such biased to girls. Here's an example....one day a boy (that shall not not be named) casually does his normal routine ( arriving at Edu, setting his backpack down, then heading his way to the desks to sit down to do his hw). Except that day, he chooses to lick a lollipop while doing so. That's when the "principle" comes and catches him red handed. In Edu, there is a snack room where the kids are supposed to go when eating or having candy. So she comes and notifies him that the snack room is where he needs to go. So he does. A few hours later that same day, a girl comes with a lollipop in her mouth and literally goes up to the "principle" and informs her that she has completed her assignments for school. The "principle" did not mention one thing whatsoever about the lollipop.
Sometimes they forget to pick you up from school!! When this incident happens with middle schoolers, and they forget about you, they blame it all on you with no sorry because you didn't give them a call. They still lame it on and don't apologize when you don't even have their number. Kids without phones what will they do? Elementary students? What will they do?
Nothing happens on Wednesday's. You pay them and expect them to provide you as much info. as possible. On Wednesday there is no class. Monday: Language Arts
Tuesday/Thursday: Math. Not sure what happens on Friday, but you get the point. Think about it this way. You have some oranges, and you're planing to make some nice homemade OJ. To get the most out of your oranges, you gotta squeeze every little bit out of the oranges.
Not a set/organized schedule. Normal after schools have a nice and organized repetitive schedule that flows nicely. Not in this after school. Very chaotic, and every day, kids are asking were they need to be. Independence is not involved in this way of transitioning from room to room.
Nothing to do. When a parent is late to pick up their child, the kid waits helplessly with nothing at all do, well besides standing and waiting of course. After schools should have activities/things to do to keep the kids company.
This is what my mind can currently think of about why your kid should absolutely not go here. Of course that there is more that should be added...but here are some reasons. read more
