This was the first of many lovely places that my boyfriend took me to during my first ever visit to…read morethe glorious city of NB. It was mos def a "trip down memory lane" for him as we walked into The Hub as many of his memorable nights of getting completely hammered in NB usually started with a visit to The Hub. I would like to go ahead and say this right off the bat...I have never seen a more eclectic selection of "liquor blends" and "bum wines" - both of which we indulged in buying. The selection of "liquor blends" (in the padlocked fridge closest to the bar) was what I found to be the most fascinating. It was in this fridge that I was able to find Tarantula's Azul Magaraita "Premium Liquor Blend" in Fresa (strawberry), Melon, Baya (berry) and Mango. This made me reminiscent of my undergrad days....oh..what fun I had drinking the "Premium Liquor Blends." Aside from the Tarantula there was also a liquor blend that was advertised (on the bottle) as "LIQUOR YOU CAN EAT!" I couldn't help but umm...stare at the bottle (in confusion) for a bit. So, the BF got his bum wines and sparks and I got my Tarantula and Sauza Blanco(seriously, you thought that I was going to drink the "liquor blend" sans extra liquor? pssssshhhh...) and the total came out to $26 (my Sauza cost $11). That's pretty damn good considering it was a 40 oz of Night Train, three other smaller bottles of bum wine, three sparks, a Tarantula and a (something bigger than a 1/5 but not a bottle) of Sauza. We were pretty dandy for the weekend. Oh yah, um, Cash ONLY and they stick your ID into this ID thing..so youngins' beware.

This liquor store just gets better and better…read more After an extensive expansion and renovation several months ago, Buy Rite completed its formal transformation into the NJ Wine Gallery. With a name like this, you wouldn't know that stocked inside is one of the best selections of bourbons, ryes, and other spirits -- especially for a little mom and pop store. It seems like every trip here (and there are many) I'm leaving with a new and obscure bourbon to try. I love that. And for those of you with deep pockets, they recently they started building out a section of higher end scotches and bourbons. No doubt that the selection of wine and beer here is excellent as well. The guys running the shop here are curation experts who know how to make the most of their space. And their prices are, without a doubt, the best in the area. Sign up for the club and save even more. In the rare event that they don't have what you're looking for, just talk to the owner and he will get it for you. These guys are all about customer service and building a loyal following of fans. Given how crowded this place has started to get, it's clear that I'm not the only one who's figured it out.

Everyone has a bad day right? I don't know if it was the same man from the 1st bad experience, but I ended up walking out. I asked him a question while he was ringing up the wine. He proceeded to scold me for being impatient, that I should wait for him to finish what he was doing. I can buy that wine at any liquor store. Left without purchasing anything. Never returning. 1star only because woman at counter is normal.

I was looking for some alcohol on a Sunday evening and none of the stores were open at the time I…read morewanted. I came across this liquor store which was open till midnight so thought about giving this store a try. The store is decently sized but is packed from the inside. They have a ton of different types of wines/ champagne/ beer/ whiskey and more. The quantity and the availability of each type of alcohol is abundant. I was looking for a particular champagne for the occasion and it was very easy to find. The staff was friendly enough to guide me to the particular bottle. They have social distancing inside the store with masks on policy as well. The checkout process was hassle free and the overall experience was good. If you compare the prices to the big supermarkets then of course, there's gonna be a difference. This is a small/ local liquor store whereas supermarkets have their own policies and marketing tools. All that said, in need, this store came in handy for me and the prices weren't off the charts maybe a couple of dollars here and there but that doesn't take away from my experience especially when all the nearby stores were closed and this was the only option.

Hey hey Adventurers!…read more This place alone is awesome because it DELIVERS and is open until 2 AM! Be mindful that after ten only beer and wine are available for purchase NOT hard liquor. It's within walking distance of a friend's house for those late night move sessions, and they are next to a dominos in case you're hungry. I find this to be one of those places that are hard to find unless you're from perth amboy. Definitely recommend this is you really need a glass of wine after a long day or if you've ran out and just need more.
