This liquor store just gets better and better. After an extensive expansion and renovation several months ago, Buy Rite completed its formal transformation into the NJ Wine Gallery. With a name like this, you wouldn't know that stocked inside is one of the best selections of bourbons, ryes, and other spirits -- especially for a little mom and pop store. It seems like every trip here (and there are many) I'm leaving with a new and obscure bourbon to try. I love that. And for those of you with deep pockets, they recently they started building out a section of higher end scotches and bourbons. No doubt that the selection of wine and beer here is excellent as well. The guys running the shop here are curation experts who know how to make the most of their space. And their prices are, without a doubt, the best in the area. Sign up for the club and save even more. In the rare event that they don't have what you're looking for, just talk to the owner and he will get it for you. These guys are all about customer service and building a loyal following of fans. I don't usually write reviews. Never had a problem with previous owners/staff. Now there's a Nasty rude man at the register. I thought I'd give them a 2nd chance today. Everyone has a bad day right? I don't know if it was the same man from the 1st bad experience, but I ended up walking out. I asked him a question while he was ringing up the wine. He proceeded to scold me for being impatient, that I should wait for him to finish what he was doing. I can buy that wine at any liquor store. Left without purchasing anything. I was looking for Pacific Rim's Riesling wine and this location popped up in the search. I was happy to note that it's a 10 minute drive from my house and located in the adjacent shopping plaza from Target! They have a great selection of wine from the US, Europe, and South America, They had prosecco (!), Rosé, and Red Velvet wine from the Cupcake Vineyards. I love anything Cupcake Vineyards and it was exciting to see the Prosecco. I didn't spend too much time here since it was New Years' Eve, but I liked what I saw and can't wait to discover and try out some new vino. They have "Members pricing" which is free to join; they just need your drivers' license. I picked up my bottle of Pacific Rim and the cashier gave me the member pricing since I expressed huge interest in joining. Let me start by saying I have been in the store numerous times but this time was the worst experience I ever had at a liquor store. There are extremely racist I went in to purchase non alcoholic ginger beer. The msn proceeded to stare at me from the time I walked in to me picking up the beer and proceeded to the counter to pay. This is a nice liquor store near me. They have every brand for beer and wine, and they have a really good variety. Some wine is pricier than others, but I feel like it depends on how rich each wine is. I got a really sweet wine, that I can't remember the name of, but it tasted really sweet and strong. The store is very clean, but it's a littl low on staff. I only saw one man working there. The staff is okay, but nothing special. The man was just doing his job. Has a nice selection of craft beers, but was missing a couple that absolutely should have had. Really not thrilled with the attitude of the manager. As I was making my choices he kept walking in front of me opening doors in front of me and never once said excuse me, actually just flat out rude. Decent prices for this part of town.(Rt. 18 stores are a bit cheaper than Ryders lane for some reason.) I will say they have a large selection. I wanted Goose Island and 212 when I got back from Chicago and they were the only place around that had it. They also have a good price on Lambics. Although they are weaker than Steve Erkel I still enjoy them with a meal once in a while. The guys at the front desk are nice and knowledgeable. ! Shopped there for 2-1/2 years buying a case of a rare Moscato spending $82 a month and will not buy from them again! I was in there a couple of days ago the owner was so rude and mean to me! He got smart with me a couple of times! I did not appreciate the way he treated me. I will not go back in there to give him another dime! I've been to this location several times. It's bigger than Ryder's Lane Liquors, both of which are closest to my house. This is the store I normally pass on my way home, so I'll stop in if I need something. Although it is a small store, they have a good selection of pretty much all wines, beer and spirits. I wish they had a few more selections of cider, but not that big of a deal. Staff is always around and friendly, ready to offer help or advice if needed. Favorite liquor store in the New Brunswick area. They have an awesome selection of both craft and cheap beers (unlike most liquor stores in the Rutgers area) and also an amazing selection of wine. Yes, there's $5 wine but there's also a zillion sections of different wine varieties ranging from the inexpensive to the fancy, so you can really go for whatever your want. The guys who work there are also super helpful and if they spot you looking a little lost, they'll ask if you need help and find the wine for you! Recently underwent renovations. For a while, NJ Wine Gallery was a mess, but they bounced back strong. Great selection for a small store. I like that I can get a 12 oz. craft beer for a few bucks, instead of paying out the ass for a bomber size that I may not like. Prices are good, at least when it comes to the brands I'm familiar with. They're associated with Super Saver, which means you're getting those sales items at dead cost. Also has lottery, so you can feed your alcohol and gambling addictions at once. Only complaint is they put the shelf talkers over the prices, so I have to constantly lift up the tags to see what I would be paying. I think it's a ploy to get you to grab something without thinking. Splitting hairs, though; since I moved to East Brunswick this is my go-to liquor store. Buyrite is a good liquor store with a nice selection. They have lots of wines and specialty beers. The hard alcohol here is cheaper than any other place in proximity. They also have weekly sales for different bottles. read more

Wow I've been going here for years pretty much buy out all the gluten free beer because my son has celiac. Well that all ended today . I bought two half kegs back in August returned one a week later the other I had for my kegarator well I lost the receipt for the deposit. The young lady at the front was very nice she told me that would be OK until she called the owner to give me my deposit back she must have asked 3 times where my receipt was to the the girl and she told her I didn't have it but the proof of me purchasing was in the system I know I paid 60 per keg when she went to refund me my deposit again she asked for where is my receipt in a demanding tone well screw that no one especially some broken English Indian is going to talk to me that way she continued on saying it was store policy to have a receipt nice I pretty much told her in a few choice words that I take the keg back. Never nor anyone in my family will be go back there . Good riddance read more
