I watched them in March doing a few jobs in our neighborhood and I was so impressed that I immediately called the company to book the care of our apple tree. Long story short they came today November 5, 2020 and went above and beyond. They really are a stellar crew. I give them FIVE stars. Unfortunately the management side detracts from the good service. The initial contact and followup by the company in Edmonton was awesome - after that it fell down completely. Seems the company in Edmonton does the initial contact and estimate and the Calgary office schedules. The communication between the two offices is horrible in our experience and it was a fight the whole way. Management gets ONE star. We would recommend that they let their Edmonton office do the scheduling for Edmonton and stop micromanaging from Calgary. Until that happens we would not hire this company again. Bottom line, if you have a lot of patience and are able to wait a few months for your work to be done after some rescheduling - the crew is worth it. You just need to have an infinite amount of patience with management.

Their arborist wasn't paying attention while trimming my tree in front of my very newly reno'd house and damaged my 1 week old eavestrough and downspout. I saw this happen and called the number on the truck immediately to report the incident. After it was evident by their lack of response or proposal of a plan to repair the damages, I had my trough contractor come do the repairs. Two weeks later (a month after the damage was caused)I have a guy show up on my doorstep to "do a quote for the repair." Now ArborCare will only cover 2/3 of my cost for the repairs, and takes no responsibility for dropping the ball on their end and not rectifying the situation in any kind of timely fashion. I wish I had checked review websites prior to hiring them, as I see that a fellow in calgary had a very similar experience.

When I…read morecontacted them, they trivialized this highly infectious disease and tried to tell me this is a common practice for them and the black knot was no longer infectious and perfectly usable as mulch. According to city of Edmonton and province of Alberta, black knot is still infectious for MONTHS after removal. Either they were lying or just not knowledgeable on a common disease that kills trees. Either way, don't use them

I must add that the two crews pruning the tree on my yard and the neighbors yard were exceptional. They worked together as a crew and helped one another cleaning up the pruning mess. They left the site in better care that it was before they began. With people like that working for you it looks like your company is going to grow like the trees in Sherwood Park. We have two enormous willows in the yard. We included a flowering crab apple in the quote to prune…read moreand clean up the trees' appearance. The price was very reasonable for the size of the willows. A crew of two arrived on the designated day, but found it was too windy to do the work. They returned the next day with two more guys and a "scissor lift" and the four of them were done by 2:30 PM. The scissor lift was a great bit of machinery and I would suspect not too many operators have one. Without it, my trees might not be done yet, thanks to the winds. Trees all look great. Clean up was good. Working with my grumpy neighbour was handled really well and she, too, is happy. Not only were they the low bid, but my wife loves the work they did. 5 Stars!!!
