Cleaned up after the job, great work, and had a very competitive price. Hired them this year to cut down a tree and trim another and I was quite disappointed. Left a considerable mess at both sites. They did not specify the exact day they would be arriving, so I still had birdfeeders in the tree to be trimmed. It would have taken less than 5 seconds to remove the feeders and there is just no way they couldn't have been noticed. Instead, both were destroyed. Who does that? The trimming work was minimal and definitely not worth the fee. The tree removal left a huge dirt pile scattered across the yard after the stump grinding. Their overall price was still more competitive than the other firms that quoted, but that low price came with a lesser product.

I watched them in March doing a few jobs in our neighborhood and I was so impressed that I immediately called the company to book the care of our apple tree. Long story short they came today November 5, 2020 and went above and beyond. They really are a stellar crew. I give them FIVE stars. Unfortunately the management side detracts from the good service. The initial contact and followup by the company in Edmonton was awesome - after that it fell down completely. Seems the company in Edmonton does the initial contact and estimate and the Calgary office schedules. The communication between the two offices is horrible in our experience and it was a fight the whole way. Management gets ONE star. We would recommend that they let their Edmonton office do the scheduling for Edmonton and stop micromanaging from Calgary. Until that happens we would not hire this company again. Bottom line, if you have a lot of patience and are able to wait a few months for your work to be done after some rescheduling - the crew is worth it. You just need to have an infinite amount of patience with management.

Their arborist wasn't paying attention while trimming my tree in front of my very newly reno'd house and damaged my 1 week old eavestrough and downspout. I saw this happen and called the number on the truck immediately to report the incident. After it was evident by their lack of response or proposal of a plan to repair the damages, I had my trough contractor come do the repairs. Two weeks later (a month after the damage was caused)I have a guy show up on my doorstep to "do a quote for the repair." Now ArborCare will only cover 2/3 of my cost for the repairs, and takes no responsibility for dropping the ball on their end and not rectifying the situation in any kind of timely fashion. I wish I had checked review websites prior to hiring them, as I see that a fellow in calgary had a very similar experience.
