Lots of people this weekend. There is also the art fair going on at the same time. Plenty of activities for family ups and everything/everyone. Food service and ambiance is magnificent today. The weather is gorgeous perfect! Lots of walking and tasting .

Metal sculptures area, Saturday 9 November 2024.

Edmonds Saturday Market is held in Edmonds bowl/Downtown Edmonds on Saturdays with a rain or shine kind of occurrence. Vendors start setting up before opening so they are as ready to go as they can be at official start time. Barricades/signage on the streets on which the market is held mark the ends of the streets as closed, which is helpful when looking for parking. Offerings and prices are a mix. There can be a bunch of food options, both prepared/cooked on site type of food as well as produce. Artisans for mediums other than food tend to be present as well. One merchandise that caught my eye yesterday (Saturday 9 November 2024) was metal sculptures in an area that had no tent. It started to rain slightly and still there was no tent. Then it clicked in my brain, if putting a sculpture in one's yard, then it should be able to endure the elements at point of sale as well. Vendor stall spacing is compact and space between the vendors on each side of the street is ample enough to make walking through unobstructed when relatively light foot traffic.

Happy Fall Everyone.... I think it's already here...

Love coming here on Saturdays during the summer. So many things to explore and learn about. I sometimes have the opportunity to talk with the business owners while they are selling their own art work. What a better way to start with a fresh baked pizza in the real Italian oven. Here, I can have a slice of pizza freshly made- I'm talking about a slice of Fabio pizza.-so yummy! It has mushrooms, ham, artichokes and cheese. It is a must-try. However, I don't know when the market's last day yet. And in this market, there are many reasons to spend money. I can buy produce, cheese, wine, fruits and so on and so on. For example, these beautiful Sunflowers! I'm going to miss this market as Autumn sets in.

    Love these peaches for me!

Nice large eclectic farmers market. It's by the fountain, you can't miss it. I was looking for cheeses and didn't see any. There were pastas, hummus, fruits, flowers and everything else though!

Pretty big market! A good variety of goods, baked goods, flowers & food. I took a star off because I was pretty disappointed on fruit/veggie vendors. Didn't see there were many to choose from for summertime. There were a handful of food vendors with yummy cuisines. I enjoyed the layout and didn't feel cramped. Great place to people watch and munch on yummy stuff.

Cute market, pretty standard for Farmers Markets. One thing to note is that it's a pet-free market, other than service animals

Haven't met a farmers market we didn't like!! Till now!!…read more I get that its covid. But man this place is snobby. And very much un-fun!! They have lines/tape around all over so you can't just enter. You do have to walk all the way to 5th and something for an entry. Which also include a huge line, a very unnecessary loud teenage band playing ( tone deaf loud) next to all the restaurants/their outdoor seats. You cant social distance even if you try. All I wanted was some fresh flowers for the cemetery and we ended up walking the whole market twice from outside trying to find an entrance. They do have a different entrance where they turn everyone away in the scorching hot heat! And last but not least: No dogs allowed? What? Isn't that the whole point of farmers market? Family/dog friendly? Baci got his socializatio in as a tiny pupper from Ballard market. It's like a puppy parade every time you go there. We ended up skipping because of this!! I did see 2 old ladies left their dog outside, next to the loud as hell band so they can walk the market for something. We watched the sad pup the whole time till they return! Really though. No flowers/spices are worth leaving your beloved old dog behind Overall, the least fun farmers market ever!! if it werent for random facemask, you wouldnt even know there was covid. Hot! Over crowded! Many flowers stands. Not that special!

Updating my previous post from 8/6/16 from my recent visit on 7/26/25 (posted 8/9/25)…read more The humble beginnings of the Shoreline Farmers Market started at City Hall, then Aurora Square near Town & Country, to the current location at the 188th & Aurora Park and Ride - this seasonal community event has grown even more! It's held June to early October on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. It's recommended to show up early, use public transit, bike or walk since the surrounding lot and side streets gets pretty full. Vendors representing the market, city, community organizations and services were there. There's also live music and kids activities. There's quite the variety of goods available like fresh flowers, fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, indie artisans and their wares, cheese, meat, eggs, food vendors, onsite coffee stand, cideries, handmade soaps, candles, honey, olive oils, etc. A pleasant way to spend part of your Saturday and show your support for farmers and independent businesses since 2012!

For a while, the farmers market here had been closed joining the rest of the community in flattening the curve. However, given a better understanding of the social distancing impacts on SARS-CoV-2 spread, the Shoreline Farmers Market has reopened with guidelines in place to ensure patrons are kept safe. First of all refer to the main website for specific dates when they are open and which venders will be available. We went on a Saturday to see what they had to offer (and also because we wanted to stop by Central Market). We weren't sure what we would find but what we did see impressed us! First off, there's only one entrance into the farmers market. Be sure to have your face covering because you're not allowed in without one. They count the number of people going in to limit the crowd and then we count how many people go out as well. The first few venders were fruits and vegetables. We stopped by the cherry booth and they had rainier cherries the size of almost ping pong balls. No joke. Not only were they large, but they were sweet. A great way for us to start! We walked over to the honey vender as well; a group that sells honey harvested from hives in people's local yards. From what we are told, the honey tastes pretty consistent from location to location early in the season but as more plants and flowers open up later, local flavors start popping out. Further down was also a mushroom vender that had beautiful piece of lions mane. If you have never cooked with lions mane before, I encourage you to try especially with some pasta, pancetta and butter. Delicious! Around the corner, a family was selling fresh made mozzarella and a food truck in the back was selling sweet and savory pies. All in all, this was a good find for us and we are certainly excited to revisit in the future!

Firstly, $10 for 12 hour parking (the only option they offered) when typically on Sundays parking is free (at least at the Port Orchard farmers market it is), and we only planned on stopping by for some farm fresh vegetables and sticking around for maybe an hour. There were maybe a total of 18-20 tents all selling crafts and things of that nature. We saw household plants, but nothing "farm" related. We paid $10 for parking to essentially wander off outside the Kingston ferry terminal where the majority of shops were either closed or uninteresting. I saw another Yelp review put it perfectly, "less on the farm more on the market". The live music was ok and brought about a decent atmosphere, unfortunately that was the only redeeming quality of this experience. Again, maybe it was the time of year (end of July) or maybe it was the heat. It wasn't worth the 27 minute drive nor the $10 parking when we were there maybe 15 minutes. Go to the one in Port Orchard, they actually sell vegetables and great stuff from local farmers. I didn't take pictures because it was so depressing.

A pleasant surprise! I hadn't ever tried a guava empanada but I go for anything guava flavored so it was a must for me. The cream cheese and sweet guava jam was a perfect duo. I highly recommend trying this one but a cono was also looking mighty delicious. I also had the most amazing watermelon fruit juice made from watermelons from farmers at this market. As soon as I heard that, I wanted it. It was like adding a tap to a watermelon it tasted so good! This was a smaller market with an okay amount of vendors but just two rows to stroll through. The location though is beautiful and right by the water and park so it gets busy. The parking lot to the side was a mess with traffic but across the street there is tons of additional parking that was way easier.
