Dr. King was/is probably one of the best doctors I've interacted with for any surgery. I got LASIK…read moredone on my eyes, which were around -4.5 to -6 in prescription. Yikes! We interacted first via zoom call for virtual consult and later I went in for an in-person free consult. He performed thorough testing and was able to schedule me for the same week, which was perfect for my schedule. Overall surgery lasted about 10-15mins but I was at the office in Renton for about 2-3 hours for repeat testing on eyes to make sure they were stable. No issues in surgery and post surgery, while waiting for my spouse was offered more numbing drops. Glad the office was looking out for my well being. Followed up next day with another doctor and was out of the office within 10 mins for a 3-week follow-up. Haven't had any issues so far and got great results. What stood out for me was the last thing Dr. King said, which no doctor has ever said, "Thank you for your trust." Any surgery is stressful to think about, but it's great to see a doctor that values the patient and is meticulous about his work.

I tried contacting them for a retouch up and they said they would have their providers get back to me after 3-4 attempts. Sharp Vision in Renton and Bellevue, Washington, is absolutely FANTASTIC…read more I called them on June 9 and was able to get in the very next morning at 9:00. I went through the preliminary testing and explained what I wanted. I wanted monovision because I had done that before with contacts, and they told me, "Yes, we can do that." They put me through the testing, and the next day I met with the surgeon. He said, "Sure, we can do this for you. No sweat." That was exactly what I needed to hear. I was scheduled for the following Tuesday for my first eye, had the procedure done, and went back the next day for the follow-up. Everything was healing nicely. The one thing I really want to say is that everybody -- the doctors, the receptionists, the scheduling staff, the people on the phone, everyone -- was FANTASTIC. This outfit is the greatest. If you need eye surgery, LASIK, cataract surgery, or anything else Sharp Vision provides, do yourself the biggest favor and go there first. I highly, highly recommend Sharp Vision for all of your eye care needs.

Before my surgery, I was quoted a price weeks in advance and paid it in full. Unfortunately, I wasn't a candidate for LASIK, which was disappointing, but Dr. Schmidt was able to perform the procedure manually instead. Since the LASIK portion wasn't done, I was told the procedure should have cost about $2,000 less. At my follow-up appointment, I didn't see Dr. Schmidt. Instead, I saw another doctor after waiting nearly 40 minutes for an exam that lasted less than five minutes. When I asked about the $2,000 difference, I was told that I actually owed an additional $900 because a deductible had been applied after my original quote. This was extremely frustrating. If I had been informed before surgery that my out-of-pocket cost would increase by $900, I could have planned and budgeted accordingly. Instead, I was given one price, paid it upfront, and then was surprised with an unexpected bill afterward. The medical care itself was great, but the lack of transparency and communication about billing left me very disappointed.

After seven years of going to a highly visible vision center in Downtown Edmonds, I finally…read moreswitched and I'm so happy I did. I saw Dr. Steven Seto at Eye Clinic of Edmonds for the first time today and I'm impressed. He's honest and very knowledgeable. He answered my questions without any hesitation. While the appointment took longer than expected I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be back. 1. Dr. Seto is an Ophthalmologist not an Optometrist. 2. They didn't charge extra for retina scans. Technically, Dr. Seto visually inspected the retina instead of a machine taking images of your retina. However, here is the difference. The machine only has you looking forward while Dr. Seto's inspection had me looking in all directions. I have a hard time believing the machine was able to capture the sides, top and bottom, but I could be proved wrong. 3. Dr. Seto stated straight up that my vision technically didn't warrant prescription glasses and I could get away with readers from Costco. In this day and age, who is that honest? I have been buying glasses from the other place on 5th every year for seven years. 4. Finally, I could actually get an appointment. The other place doesn't book a year out so you have to call for an appointment since they won't call you. And if you can get an appointment at the other place it won't be with the same optometrist. I walked out of Eye Clinic today with an appointment for next November. Impressive. Can't recommend them enough and if you look at my profile I don't do this very often.

I saw Dr. Samuel Seto and left frustrated and unheard. I raised a concern about a "lazy" eye that…read moremy wife and others have noticed. Instead of taking it seriously, he said he didn't see it happen during the visit and noted that it wasn't an issue. When I mentioned it had already been diagnosed at Target Optical, his attitude shifted, and he treated me like I was wasting his time. As a diabetic, I expected at least a basic conversation about my vision and what to watch for before my next visit. I got none of that. My next appointment isn't for a year, and I left with no guidance and no sense that my concerns mattered. I won't be back.

I held off writing a review for a while since I wanted to experience the frame fitting process…read moreafter getting LASIK. Back in October 2020, it was my first time going to Visionaire Eyecare and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Making the decision to go to Visionaire Eyecare: I found them through VSP and I liked how they had an online application for new patients. I received a follow-up call the very next day and that they could take me in within the same week which was great. I walked into the office and the staff were super friendly and helpful! They are also very COVID compliant which is great! During the eye exam process, Dr. Wong went above and beyond my expectations by making the process super seamless. Dr. Wong took the time to answer all my questions and provided me with an amazing amount of information I never considered before. He does an amazing job emphasizing the importance of your vision and overall eye health. In March 2021, I got my first frame fitting after getting LASIK (went to a different place to get the procedure done). Both Carol and Marina were super nice and friendly! They were very patient with me and were willing to help me pick out sunglasses for me. I was able to walk out satisfied with my new pair of sunglasses thanks to their guidance. One minor improvement I would like to see is maybe getting an email/text reminder for my upcoming appointment. Other than that, I would highly recommend Visionaire Eyecare! Thank you Dr. Wong and team!

After the experience I can truly saw I was impressed from my initial consult all the way through surgery and after. Dr Patel does fantastic work he is great at communicating, has a wonderful bedside manner and an amazing team of support staff. I wake up daily amazed that I can now read the clock across the room without glasses or contacts! I do not have any health conditions that would discourage LAL lenses. My brain is as healthy and efficient as people who are much younger. I have been unable to adjust to the dual focus that is part of the LAL concept. One eye for distance, the other for close up. My eyes got tired, dry and irritated when driving, as I was only using one eye. I had the same experience with close up vision, reading, watching TV etc. My vision blurred. I've learned it is not uncommon for the brain to have difficulty making that adjustment. As a result, I experienced dizziness and my brain was unable to efficiently "track" what I was seeing. Since the surgery my eyes are extremely dry. It took over a year for the burnt, bruised feeling and floaters to resolve. Fortunately I have an excellent optical physician who was able to correct my vision with progressive lens glasses. My experience with LAL was similar to many of the patients I spoke with while in Dr. Patels waiting room. I did all of the research, asked all of the right questions but feel some of the cons were omitted from the conversation. I am not questioning Dr. Patels skills as a physician or his ethics. He is a very skilled surgeon. I think he believed LAL lenses were the best he could offer me. Hopefully he is being more realistic about their success now.

I was here sometime last year for an eye health checkup and the process and exam went great. I had…read morea followup appointment scheduled for nearly 10 months down the line which felt like forever until this week. Well despite getting multiple reminders both via email and phone leading up to today, I arrived this morning for my scheduled appointment only to find out that my doctor not work there anymore. The front office did reschedule me on the spot, but I made a whole trip out there fighting commuter traffic all for one big nothing. Guess their patient coordination system needs some work because that was a HUGE oversight (update: pun unintended but when I caught it I chuckled).

My recent appt to scan for cataracts and glaucoma and to determine if corrective lens were…read morerecommended. Melanie was the assistant who did preliminary work. She was quite kind and informed me of what to expect from each procedure. After a 20 minute wait, Dr Do performed some tests and examination and explained some of the results to me. They said another test was needed. But it could not be completed today. I asked if it was because my eyes had been dilated. Dr. Do said no the person who does that test doesn't work on Tuesdays. I expressed my frustration that I was scheduled for a glaucoma exam and one of the people who performs a glaucoma test doesn't work on the day my appt was scheduled. Dr Do quite rudely responded with"What do you want me to do?" Not in an I'm here to help way but in the you are unreasonable and I am annoyed way. Even though it was more than reasonable for me to be frustrated that I would need to come back for a second appt due to this lack of patient consideration in scheduling. I said you could start by not being rude. At which point, Dr. Do very slowly laid one hand in his lap and placed the other on top, leaned forward and as condescendingly as possible said, "She's not here today." At this point, not wanting to be treated in this manner again, I asked if I could see another dr on my return. Dr. Do said yes, grabbed his clipboard, very curtly said go to the front desk and stormed out of the exam room. By the time I gathered my things and walked out into the hallway, Dr. Do was at the reception desk impatiently waving for me to hurry down the hall. Some of the information Dr. Do had provided was confusing to me and some of my questions went unasked because of his abrupt end to my appt. I did call to ask my questions but there was some guesswork involved in the answers I received because I was not talking to a doctor. Maybe I'm wrong, but I expect more respect, maturity and patient concern from a doctor who involved in my care. Maybe the other doctors in your office are more capable of understanding and caring for patients. However, at this point, I do not feel at all comfortable returning to an environment. where I've experienced such an extreme lack of professionalism and consideration.
