Ambiance was nice. So many waiters for one table, waiters really try to sell you tequila. We ended up getting a tequila on the rocks $58 for one. Very over priced food for mexico. We ordered the plate for two with shrimp, lobster and steak. The shrimp and lobster were good. We also had the table side Cesar salad it was good but nothing great. The restaurant has very good food and nice ambiance but I would rather go to one of their sister restaurants. The place has become quite overpriced. I don't even pay these kind of prices for quality restaurants here in the United States. But they are very popular so I guess they can charge a premium. For starters it was a very beautiful and artsy place. Service could have been better it was a bit slow we waited at least 25 minutes for our drinks. I started with a tortilla soup it was good but came out cold which was a bit surprising considering it was soup. Highlight eating of our trip!! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend getting the catch of the day, the tuna was the best we have eaten! The portions were huge!! I have two college kid athletes with huge appetites, neither was able to finish it. I don't think I have even seen that before. Service was great! Margaritas were fabulous! Want to try an upscale restaurant in Cabo? Well this is the place! I ordered their Wally special which consisted of lobster, shrimp and fish. My husband ordered their pasta dish with shrimp and our friends ordered Wally 2 special. This plate has steak, veggies shrimp. We also had the Mexican coffee and banana desert. All the food was top notch and cooked to perfection. Definitely getting what you paid for. The waiter's were so on top of everything. As soon as we finished a plate they would come take it. At the end of the meal they brought over warm rolled hand towels to clean our hands. The inside was absolutely stunning. It is a pricey place but worth every penny. I am not sure if the industry and customer needs have changed or post-pandemic but it just does not seem the same anymore. One of the more popular restaurants and the sister Office restaurant is also our favorite. Ediths was just average tonight. I always feel a tough up-sell here when we dine - upsell with appetizers, mains and Tequilla. I just want to be left alone when I dine and enjoy the company and ambiance. We shared the obvious caesar salad which is always good. It seemed overdressed this time. The croutons were somewhat sweet and soft, tbh. We also shared the Tampiquena with Center Cut Beef Fillet. It's plenty to share. We finished with the Mexican coffee which was again, just okay. We have had these items before but tonight they were just average at best. I can't stress enough how much I recommend this restaurant. Edith's is a must go when visiting Cabo. The service is the best I have experienced anywhere. After I dropped my napkin, they immediately brought a new one (without having to ask). Apparently something fell in my mothers drink and they replaced it before we even noticed something was in it. I can't stress enough how impeccable the service was. The food was equally impressive, with a great Seafood platter, table side Cesar salad, and Mexican coffee. The best authentic Mexican cuisine! Came here for dinner on 1/25/23 and had so much fun. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out and the staff made the entire dining experience fun and enjoyable! I ordered the chicken enchiladas and my man had the chicken fajitas. We also got the banana flambé and chocolate fondant (chocolate lava cake) to share. Both were divine, but the banana flambé was superb and the performance of them making it table side was what made it that much more special! We told our waiter my birthday was the previous day and they brought me a slice of flan complimentary and the band sang happy birthday. I don't know how I'll ever settle for Mexican food in the US now but I'll be sure to recommend this gem to all who visit Cabo! read more

Breathtaking. Not only did they go out of their way to make us feel welcome but they waited on us hand and foot. I counted 6 different staff members just for the two of us. The last time we went to Edith's, it was a few years back when it was affordable and actually served Mexican food. We just went again because we had fond memories and wow, were we shocked. Same cute decor, great and attentive service, but the prices were outrageous! The food was fine, nothing amazing, but again, the prices were astronomical. Not to mention no air conditioning and we just sat there and sweated all night!!! There's no ocean view and this is not a Michelin star restaurant. Not sure how they are justifying these prices. They revamped the menu, unreasonably raised the prices, and we as tourists have been dumb enough to pay them. Again, I'm not saying it needs to be cheap, just reasonable and fair pricing for what you're getting. This is highway robbery!!! If you want to spend this kind of money, go to El Farallon and you will have one of the most amazing and unforgettable dining experiences of your life with remarkable ocean views and breeze. We went here based on recommendations and we had a very nice time. Great festive atmosphere that was quaint but not too small. We started off with Caesar salads prepared table side and was quite the show. Fresh and delicious. Dinner was amazing, grilled shrimp, enchiladas, fillet, and traditional side dishes. We came to Edith's for the first time based on the great reviews. But I have to agree with many others that it's a rip off. Maybe at one time it was a great experience but now it's just so clear they are nickel and diming you at every turn. We weren't super hungry hungry so we opted to share an appetizer, I ordered the lobster bisque and my husband ordered the sea bass. The food was fine, nothing spectacular but good. The lobster bisque in the bread bowl was kind of a joke because they barely emptied the bread bowl out. It was mostly mushy, soggy bread, not much soup. We both ordered a Paloma as a cocktail and I ordered a glass of wine with dinner. Throughout the night we were aggressively upsold on things...tequila tastings? Mariachi band songs? More cocktails? It was fine but just doesn't feel like a high end restaurant. Feels basically the same as everywhere else in Cabo where everyone is aggressively trying to sell you something. The bill came and everything was fine with exception to the drinks. They charged us $25 for each Paloma. The one thing where the price was not on the menu of course the rip you off. I have noticed the same thing at the other Edith's group restaurants...many prices not printed on menus so they can just charge whatever they want. Im not even a cheap person and am used to $15-$20 drinks at pretty much every restaurant in Southern California, but at least you are allowed to know the price and make the decision with all of the info. Sadly I say stay away from Edith's. It's just not worth it and you cannot trust that there will not be some excessive charge on your bill (see other recent reviews that shared similar issues). It's no longer the quaint, experiential dinner place it was supposed to be, it's just your usual Cabo tourist trap with mediocre food and aggressive salespeople. read more

The reviews are so wildly mixed I wasn't sure this would turn out well. Here is our experience. Nice restaurant with a fun environment filled with a mixed of patrons low lighted by obnoxious fellow Americans who were embarrassingly dressed and condescending to the service staff with GoPros on selfie sticks as they make the table side dishes which seemed more like theater than flavor. Anyway our dishes were fantastic, Mexican chicken dish which was, like my imperial shrimp, overcooked on a busy Tuesday night. The wait staff was transparent about costs and the menu was clearly printed with pesos costs and really not extraordinarily expensive but the food itself was very good but not spectacular. My husband and I were staying about 15 mins (driving) from Edith's, it was well worth the drive and $60 (RT) taxi ride. Beautiful restaurant, with excellent customer service and attention to detail! We both did the catch of the day, sea bass and yellow fin tuna, both unbelievable in flavor; the seared tuna came with a delicious papaya salsa! We were celebrating our anniversary and they took note and make our meal even more special, we highly recommend and will be back! *We felt very safe during Covid, everyone has masks, extremely clean and accommodating. read more

When in Cabo, one must visit Edith's! Make sure you reserve a table well in advance because these guys are busy! Their complementary vegetarian tostada is so good and the perfect warm up for all of the delicious food to follow. Highly recommend the chips and guacamole to start and if you like spicier salsa, just ask! They have a couple in the kitchen that they will serve upon request. I always order the Baja shrimp. Grilled jumbo shrimp to perfection with a side of beans, rice, and tortillas. For dessert, definitely the banana dessert. Forgot exactly what it's called but it is prepared table side. The enchanted old world charm of Edith's is wonderful. We had a view of the bay of Cabo San Lucas from our table in the early evening... we had the steak tacos as an appetizer- and that could have been our meal! I enjoyed the Tampiqueña plate; it includes a 5oz filet mignon wrapped in bacon- it was delicious; their mesquite grill delivers a tantalizing flavor. The Tampiqueña is a great dish because it includes some Mexican standards and the 5oz filet. It is just enough steak to enjoy and not feel engorged. The place itself is beautiful. Nothing like it in Cabo. As soon as you enter the outdoor seating area, you feel like you're in the center of the Amazon forest. Very similar to Tulum vibes. The food? So, so mediocre. Everything from the Tomahawk, to the appetizers. Worst part? The servers here did not care about anything besides getting their tip. We had a long day (went snorkeling all day) so we decided to wear casual clothes. Our waiter, Andres, was so rude and careless with everything. But as soon as he sees my watch, he treats us like we're going to give him a large tip? What is that? Sure, I understand that waiters rely heavily on tips, but no other place we've been treated us well or not depending on how "affluent" we looked. This place should be ashamed of its work culture. I went to go use the bathroom, and you can easily tell that all the waiters are glancing at your outfit/watch, and the way you will be treated will be entirely dependent on that. Reminds me of many places in LA. Don't go here for the food. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby, such as II Forno (15 feet away). read more

While visiting Cabo for our ten year anniversary we decided to have dinner here. Many friends recommended it and it seemed like the hotspot for tourists! The staff was sweet and accommodating when we showed up with two kids in tow a few minutes past our reservation time. We were seated promptly and the wait staff brought over a tray of items with examples of what was on the menu. They asked us about our dietary restrictions and we told them no pork! They made a note of this and made sure none of our items had it. Seafood is one of their specialties so I decided to get the Baja shrimp and my husband decided to try out their enchiladas. While we waited for those, they brought out crisp tortillas with cheese and salsa as an appetizer and maybe beans? It was so delicious, I devoured mine so fast I don't know what else was on it! Our food came out shortly afterwards and both items were delicious! Their portion sizes were also decent! They surprised us and sang us happy anniversary and brought out their famous flan! It was so delicious that we had that and ordered a fondant de chocolate as well. Essentially it was a molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream. Edith's lived up to it's recommendations by friends. Along with great food, we had great entertainment too! Started out with a complimentary appetizer-it was some type of slaw on a crispy tortilla, it was good! Some of us had the skinny margaritas. I would not recommend it, not much flavor. (But this place still gets 5 stars!) We had the Caesar Salad made tableside-very good and fun to watch. Most of the table had a Baja combination for 2- meat (my friend and I had the filet, some of the guys had a ribeye), lobster tail (delicious!) with butter and the fresh catch of the day (sea bass). We had so much fish and meat left over that we took it to go and had it for our dinner the next night over nachos! We celebrated our friend's birthday and they sang to him, gave him a flan dessert and gave him a shot of tequila. It was quite a show! Then we had the Bananas Foster made at the table. He had an elaborate demonstration with fire and the whole bit. And they were super delicious! Then several of us had coffee with Khalua and that entailed another fire show. I just had the plain decaf coffee with creamer and even that was super good. The atmosphere was festive, so much to take in! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, so much laughing and fun! read more
