What a great little place for excellent haircut for men. Ever since I relocated and I was in the search for a barbershop that isn't too high class, artistic, or over-zealous, just want a simple, family style haircut that is reasonable (I had bad experiences with franchise places like supercuts). This barbershop's got them and more. A heads up now, it is owned by Korean barbers, so don't expect fluent chitchat from them unless you are also korean. You go in there, you describe what you want in simplest term understandable, and you wait for a good haircut. The price is fair, $14 without tip. I always give $20 for the full service because they finish the job without leaving a bit of hair in your shirt, neck or ears. They used a vaccum suction tube which could be a funny feeling but man, it does the trick. After they finished, I never felt like I had a haircut and don't have to rush home for a shower right away. They shaved your neck, apply lotion and apply moist warm towel to finalize, which felt awesome. They don't speak much english, but they do listen, if you need to interrupt them, you can. I typically use hand gestures to aid in my description. You will be facing the mirror during the cut, so you should be fully aware of the progress and degree of cut. There is a period of time when a female barber was around, I think she is dedicated to cut women's hair, but I only saw it happen once or twice. I don't think most people know about this place, it is quietly tugged in to the corner off route 27, very easy to miss while driving by, be sure to look out for the sign that says Edison Barber Shop. There is parking spaces in front, side and back off a slope. read more
