The house was unfit to live in. It was infested top to bottom with spiders, egg sacs, dead bugs, giant house centipedes crawling all over the walls, inside the floor boards etc. There was active mold and a musty smell. We were told it was cleaned prior and move in ready. The story changed the more questions we asked. According to neighbors the house had been abandoned for over a year. The property manager, Ashley Marines, a supposed Al developer, said she had never even been to the property herself. We drove straight back to the office just to be met with more lies and false hope. We were told a cleaning crew would be sent over the next morning. We checked back into the hotel. The next morning came and the "cleaning crew" was a one man crew who was not a professional, was there to do a quick dust and sweep. The infestation and mold still remained and nothing changed. Mind you, we paid them almost a year up front. My family and I have lived in the hotel since and have been met with nothing but heartache and suffering from this town because our house was "move in ready". We traveled over 1800 miles so our senior dog could have a home to rest in til his final days. Instead we had to come back to a hotel room to find that our beloved dog, our family member, passed away ALONE in a fkn hotel room! ALONE! I blame Matik Management for all our pain and suffering we've endured. I blame them for my hate for this town. I hope karma catches up to them and their business and they cease to exist. We have been left heartbroken, devastated and traumatized. They left a stain on our hearts that cannot be undone. Matik Management killed my dog. FUCKYOU!!!

When we stated that, she said we would NEVER sell it for that price and it would just sit on the market. She didn't seem to care about us getting as much as we could get out of our house, just selling it fast. We also got the feeling that if we ran into her 6 months later, she wouldn't even know who we were. We ended up with a great realtor who got us our full price and was just as knowledgeable, if not more so. She really cared about us as a family and followed through on every detail. We also found out that low balling is a common tactic if a realtor wants look like she or he sells a lot of property. 5 or 6% of $10,000. is not very much, but $10,000. was a lot of equity we were able to put towards our next home. Our best advice is to stay away from this realtor or at least interview several before making a choice.

I pay my rent on time every month, without fail. My building is next to a highway wall. I wanted to Craigslist my bow, so I brought it and a big target trap out to test it, put the trap against the wall, shot four arrows and came back inside. Someone called the police and JMC. Someone also called JMC and the police to say I was cooking meth. I've never even seen meth before. My neighbors seem nice, but someone has it out for me. The only thing I can think of is I had a red Mohawk for about six weeks (I'm in a band). JMC won't renew my lease. Maybe they also want to raise the rent, I don't know. The smoke detector wouldn't stop beeping, yes I put in a brand new alkaline battery, so I had to unplug it, the bathroom fan that comes on with the light is deafeningly loud so I had to disable that too. NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DEALING WITH JAKOBSON. They are cold and obtuse. It's a shame, because I actually like the apartment, it's pretty nice.
