White House Home is one of those locally owned businesses you want to stay in business because of the personal touches, quality service, and small town charm. The store is essentially a boutique selling a variety of imported products: lotions, candles, glassware, porcelain, and even some packaged foods (cookies and chocolates, for instance). You'll find few of these products at another store nearby, which makes the selection pretty unique. Most recently I came here for a Mother's Day gift and had plenty to choose from. The employee working in the store that day took time to answer my questions and offer some product recommendations. The prices here are perhaps a little steeper than you might find at a large retailer, but it's that personal touch and eclectic selection of luxury goods that make it worth the price jump. Upon deciding on something to buy, the employee took time to carefully wrap the purchase in a gift bag, even removing the price sticker since I mentioned it was a gift. The store is located in a small cottage, so looking in from the outside it might appear to offer just a few choices, but the store is really packed with options, so there's a lot to choose from. For the small town charm, personalized service and unique offerings, I'm a fan. Again, if you're a services company like us, please make sure you are paid in full for the work upfront. We do not want you to fall into the same trap we did.

If you are a plant lover, you will enjoy seeing all different plants and have opportunities to create your Terrariums. If you decide to create a terrarium, reservations can be made in advance. Our group, we did the forest option. The glass, supplies, and succulents were all carefully selected and organized upon our arrival. We were selected with a Jade succulent from owner, Rachel Song, as she taught us step by step the importance of taking care of plants, sand, rocks, charcoal, and more arrangements when you create your terrariums. We had a good time being together, getting to know Rachel as she got to see how we were, and creating our terrariums using our creative spins when assembling what we wanted in the glass. You have an opportunity to browse the plants, products, and more from other artists who have their works on the shelves. Many live plants are around, plenty of love and sunshine within the entire space. I highly recommend Modern Terrarium Bar to all plant lovers and novices. Being a part of a beautiful space, you can't get better than that during a weekend afternoon. Looking forward to seeing my succulent succeed and grow in my fun Terrarium.
