Though I had no problems with the web site (my Mother and Mother-in-Law both had difficulties because the system added items they couldn't remove), the delivery process seems a little broken. Though the delivery person was apparently standing outside the recipients house (and not getting an answer on the door bell), they thought it would be a good idea to call me (the sender) instead of the recipient (whose number was included for just that reason), who was home, but the buzzer wasn't working. And even more strangely, by the time I'd told them to simply use the number I'd already provided, the driver had left to do a different delivery...further delaying (by hours) the "gift". Clearly not a well thought-out delivery experience. read more

The fruit was awful. The banana was too ripe, the apple was mushy, the strawberries were not sweet at all. Don't waste your time at Edible Arrangements - 795, Countryside, IL I placed the order for same day delivery. If I'd known the fruit was bad, I would not have wasted my money. read more

I was on my lunch break on a time crunch when I headed over to the store to set a delivery order. At arrival, there was a sign on the door saying "be back shortly". I waited for 30 minutes in front and no one ever came back to the store. What type of business is not open for business during their posted business hours? Extremely disappointed. And unfortunately, the voucher I had is only available at this location which I will not be coming back to. read more

Very disappointed in the arrangement received. I called the main Corporate number and it took a good 20 minutes to reach a human, who then told me I had to go through the store. When the store called me back, the customer rep there proceeded to argue with me about the arrangement, giving literally no fucks about the fact that we were unhappy with the order. They got their money, what do they care? Well, that will be the last penny they get from me. read more

Edible Arrangements - Not quite the same thing - for $77! :( - Gift Shops Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

WTF. The whole company sucks. I placed an order that never arrived. I tried to call the store and the voicemail said to call during business hours (which it was). Then it went to voicemail...that was filled. So, let's try corporate. It's now 20 minutes on the phone and still no one to take my call. And then on top of that, the wait music is so chipper that it's grinding my nerves. They keep talking about how great they are...but it's just a bunch of fruit loops. Punch line...it takes you 5 times as long to fix the order that never comes compared to placing the order. Hey guys, you're not the only ones out there...I hope you go out of business for bad service and we get a cookie shop! read more

This place needs to close and stop taking peoples' money and ruining peoples' anniversaries/holidays/birthdays. Similar experience to all of the other reviews on here. It's too late for us, but hopefully this reaches others so they are warned NOT TO ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. read more

I'm sorry to say that I had the same experience as many others shared here on Yelp. My order wasn't delivered the day it was supposed to, then two days later the order said it was delivered through the tracking and the recipient didn't receive it. When I called the store, I spoke to someone who said it was her first day and that they aren't able to deliver many orders because there is a street festival? I asked to have the owner call me and haven't heard anything after calling and sending customer service complaints twice. I disputed the charge on my card and will never order from this location again. This experience was embarrassing and disheartening when the gift was meant celebrate a big moment in my friends life. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE!!! I ordered from this store online on 2/4/21 to be delivered on 2/6/21. Order was never delivered. No phone call from the store to me explaining the delay, nothing. I tried calling the store directly, voicemail was full & couldn't leave a message. Sent several online messages to corporate, with NO RESPONSE. Then on 2/9/21, the tracking showed DELIVERED, but I can assure you that there WAS NO DELIVERY. This specific store LIED about delivering anything. I am currently waiting for a call from corporate customer service and they are stating that they will refund the order but are providing ZERO explanation as to what happened. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I also cannot believe that they would allow this store to remain open. On google, the store has 49 reviews coming in at 1.7 stars. TERRIBLE SERVICE!! It was suppose to be a surprise 'congratulations on your marriage' gift but the customer service was AWFUL! (1) The manager gave a delivery range 1pm-5pm and she said she would text/call my friend when it was on the way so my friend could make sure I was home . Well that never happened so each time they attempted the delivery no one was home to accept the gift. (2) My friend had to tell me about the surprise gift so I could make sure I received it. So I called this specific branch and the manager told me that they would not do a 3rd delivery . I explained my work schedule and told her that today I was off so I would be home. She stated that the driver is too busy with other deliveries so he will most likely not deliver my gift since he tried before. So I told her I understood and told her I would walk (2.2miles) to the store to pick it up myself . (3) I arrive to the store after walking 30minutes . She emerges from the back with NO MASK ON, so clearly she if assembling gifts with no mask on . She gives me the gift and I ask for a bag to place the platter in since I have to walk 30 minutes back home. She says she has no bags. I ask her again " you don't have anything ? Not even a trash bag? ". Suddenly she reaches her hand under the counter and gives me a bag. REALLY! (4) I ask her for tape to secure the lid cause you know I'm walking back 30minutes! She says she had no tape. " are you sure you don't have tape?" No. " what about a sticker" She opens a drawer and BAM there is tape. REALLY! I understand the struggle is real but don't you want customers to return and refer. Anyways, hopefully I don't get COVID from eating her chocolate covered strawberries. I wish I could give -5 stars. Negative 5 that is. They forgot to deliver my order and are impossible to reach. I called to cancel my order and the lady hung up the phone on me. She was very rude. I called back to get confirmation of my cancellation and she hung up again. I called back and she picked up and hung up. I felt like I was dealing with a 10 year old. Worst experience with the Southport store. Never delivered my order and just like everyone else, you call and go straight to the automated attendant and then the voicemail is full. Don't bother calling those 800#'s because they transfer you right to the same location. Call corporate - 203-774-5357. They opened up a case giving the store 24 hours to respond. They told me if I didn't hear from the store in 24 hours to call them back and they'd issue a refund. Finally -- an hour later -- I receive a confirmation email from the store, but it still shows the old delivery date (July 16th). I called the store to get a delivery date/time; this time it didn't go straight to the auto attendant, but no one answered. I sent them an email from the website and no response. I went back to the confirmation and found the tracking link and it showed they had refunded my order. I called corporate back and they confirmed it, saying the refund will go back to my card in 5-7 business days. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. But if you're looking to order, please use the Irving Park location instead. Irving Park = fantastic. These guys? Abysmal. Ordered an arrangement for friend's bday. Set delivery time and received confirmation. Drove up to get it - handwritten sign on door says saying they closed at 1pm. Website said 4pm (Saturday hours) as does their voicemail. My pickup time: 230pm. Hmm. Feel like someone should have contacted me... it's great showing up to your friend's bday without a gift by the way. So thank you for that awesome experience. Monday, I look up order and they cancelled it. Never contacted me - nothing. I tried to call - there's a message on their phone and then it just hangs there. You can't talk to a live person. My assumption is that this is a cover for some other type of business bc I don't see how they're still in business. So - I called Irving Park location that actually does know how to ensure good customer service and I'm all set. Granted - I had to show up to a birthday without a gift no thanks to Southport, but I know that my friend will get an awesome arrangement from the Irving park location bc I also just received one last week. Moral of story: stick with what you know and don't choose a location based on convenience. read more

In live in Arizona and ordered a small arrangement for my daughter in Chicago. I did not get same day delivery as requested. I checked the status of the order the next day and it says it was delivered. My daughter stated she never got the arrangement. I left specific directions on how to deliver the arrangement. Know I have to dispute this charge on my card. I didn't not notice the review until it was too late. Had I looked at the reviews I would not have ordered from this company. First: Believe the bad reviews. I wish I did. I phone ordered a fruit bouquet for pick-up and was immediately met with two hostile employees in-store that refused to give me my order. (It was a Groupon, so I didn't have a order confirmation directly from them.) Eventually, they checked the cooler, found my order, and handed it over. The entire time: UNMASKED. Absolutely no masks. No hand sanitizer in sight. We're in the middle of a global pandemic: There's a mask mandate within retail establishments, and more so, they're handling food! We regretfully threw the food away because of its proximity to these employees - who also prepared it - and got a refund. Do not go here. read more

Worst store ever. Despite a reminder call to the store to advise that my arrangement had to be delivered to my wife for our anniversary before 3 pm (because it is a business which closes at 3:15 pm, the driver called me at 4:30 ish wondering how to get into the building. I defeatedly told him to just bring an arrangement (hopefully not the same one) the following Monday. Well, the following Monday is here and the same person at the store I spoke to previously called me wondering why we didn't accept the arrangement. I reminded her that I told her on Friday, this HAD to be delivered before 3 and since it wasn't even close, the driver couldn't deliver. Having been reminded of this screw up, and not having already delivered the arrangement as the driver said he would, the store caller advised that they will deliver today. I am not holding my breath and am really disappointed in this store. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I ordered some items to be delivered to my daughter on her birthday. Her birthday came and went with no delivery from edible arrangements. I was able to track the order and it did change from order received to order being prepared but that's as far as it got. I called the shop on Southport the next morning and explained to them that I wanted a refund because my order had not been delivered. She asked for the order number, looked it up, and said "ok, I gave you the refund and I sent you an email confirming it." I could tell that was going to be the end of our conversation had I not asked for explanation as to why the order was never delivered. Her answer was "I don't know, I wasn't working yesterday." Again, I could tell that was all she was going to say. No apology, no explanation, and no offer to do anything to try and rectify the situation. Conversation stopped and our call ended. I tried calling back at a later time to speak with a manager but calls were not answered and I was hung up on once. Again, the edible arrangements on Southport is by far the WORST customer service I have ever come across. Don't know how long this location has been open but they should shut this place down or get a whole new staff. Do not order from here! Chances are good your order won't be delivered at all. I preordered an edible arrangement for Saturday and the store was closed when I went to pick it up. It was so upsetting. I called on Monday to get a refund and the manager was incredibly rude and yelling. I did use a Groupon and she kept referring to Groupon for a refund but I did pay a difference. I asked for her name twice she ended up hanging up on me. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend this location by any means. I am LIVID!, I received an arrangement on Sept 2, 2020. It was the day of my deceased son's birthday, My youngest son wanted to cheer me up with this arrangement and he did. I put it in the refrigerator and decided to eat some Sept 3, 2020 in the evening. I noticed the mold on the strawberries and Decided to call when they were open on Thursday the 4th of September. The manager tried to blame me for not eating the berries the first day, she said that they were fine when she made it, and that I could come get another one INSTEAD of her sending it. I told her that this was TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, to try and blame me, I guess for not busting down the dozen that day. She also replied that I was a terrible customer...WOW!. I ordered from their website, the morning of my anniversary, for a scheduled pickup at the southport location at 4pm (which was an available time and there was indication they were open until 5pm). I arrived to find the store closed at 3pm. I tried calling that day only to find a full voice mail. I called the next day and after an introductory message and 'dead air' I continued to call back over and over until about the 6th phone call when someone picked up. I explained I ordered online for a 4pm pickup the previous day and with no notifications showed up to find they closed at 3pm. She said she called me the previous day three times, to which I explained I have several phone calls from yesterday but none from her and certainly no voice mails from her. I checked the order and it has the right phone number and e-mail. She says they refunded the order, in spite of all of this I was still interested in potentially picking it up/re-purchasing today; however, after explaining how I definitely have no voice mails and they could have left one if they did indeed call she simply hung up on me. It's unbelievable after reading other reviews that this experience seems to be common place and this is now my first ever online review; because, I'm shocked how anyone could run a business like this. I will certainly never order anything from here again. read more

Every year my sister sends me an Edible Arrangement for my birthday. I received mine around 2pm on February 26th. I promptly put it in the fridge for consumption later. Around noon on February 28th, I took out my arrangement to enjoy. Once I took the plastic off I noticed that a strawberry had grown mold. It wasn't a huge deal, I figured they'd send a replacement or a refund. I took a couple pictures. When I got a free moment around 2pm I called the location to get this corrected. The woman who answered the phone was very rude to me. She sighed as I read her the order number and seemed frustrated. Once looking up the order she told me she was the one to make the arrangement and there was no mold. She stated that they use fresh fruit and I must have done something wrong. She accused me of waiting days to call and stated that I must have not put it in the fridge. I had called 48 hours after my delivery and in fact had stored the arrangement in the fridge. Instead of trying to work with me she got defensive and insisted it was my fault. After a while, she said I needed to call back when the owner was there, but she didn't know what day he would be. I decided I'd contact cooperate instead of playing phone tag. There is no reason fresh fruit should get mold after 48 hours. She could have simply apologized and had a new one sent out. At the least she could have offered to have the owner contact me rather than telling me to call back. This was a simple situation that could have had an easy fix. I simply didn't want my sisters gift to go to waste. read more

Worst Service EVER I've used the service of other Edible Arrangements locations and service was excellent. However, this location was the worst case of customer service I've experienced with any company. If I could give a negative star rating, it would be appropriate for this store location. I placed an online order with this store location for same day delivery (Wed). The store cancelled the order and reissued it to another location (same owner) for the next day delivery (Thurs). I was never given a clear reason as to why the order was not prepared and delivered as initially requested. When I checked the status on Fri. the order was not delivered on Thurs, nor had they made any attempt to deliver by the time I called on Fri. At this point I cancelled the order and requested a refund and was told one would be issued. You would think the story ends here, but it doesn't. Each time I followed up on the status of the refund, I was told it was being processed. This was not only communicated to me, but also to corporate office because I alerted them of how this store was doing business under Edible Arrangements brand. Finally, after more than a week of getting the run around, and giving the local store plenty of opportunity to resolve the issue (but to no avail), the corporate office took control and provided closure. read more

I hate that I have to leave a bad review- My husband surprised me for our anniversary with some chocolate covered bananas. He is a frequent shopper at this location. This time when I took my first bite the banana was gooey and dark brown. I immediately spit it out! When I called the women told me it was my husbands fault because he was unable to wait another 20 min to let the chocolate freeze because the freezer wasn't cold enough... This is after he already had waited 30 min after his pick up time! I argued with the women that the chocolate was not the issue and it was the banana. She told me I could come back and get strawberries, I told her that's not what we ordered and I don't eat strawberries. She refused to let me speak with a manager but assured me Tuesday (5 days later) I would get a call back- Tuesday I didn't receive a call back, so I called the location back. The same women answered saying once again her manager was not available but she would make me a be order of bananas. She called back saying they were out of white chocolate so the wait would be a couple more hours. My husband went to pick them up once we received a call that they were finished. I took a bite and seems like they used green bananas that were not even ripe. I can't believe how employees can be such assholes on someone's anniversary, let alone a paying customer... We were frequent customers but I will never spend another dime at this location and neither will my husband!!! Worst experience. I called and ordered a Holiday Platter for a holiday party. When I went to pick it up, it was the wrong order. They said because I used a groupon, someone didn't put the right order in. OK, not my fault. I asked for a refund or for the platter to be made and she said she couldn't. This was around 1:30pm. She finally agreed to make one but said to come back at 4pm. My friend stops in at exactly 4pm to pick it up. IT'S CLOSED. She waits 15 minutes then nobody. Why tell us to come back when you're going to be closed. Yelp says it should be open until 7pm. Then 30 mins later a really nice delivery man calls and says he can deliver it for me. He said they are short-staffed and it's only him handling the store. I asked if he had the platter. Nope, it was the original arrangement they messed up on. I asked him not to deliver and have the manager or owner call me back. Nothing. I called again today (super rude lady answered) for the same request to have a manager or owner call me back. I told the rude lady it was closed at 4pm. She said it's open until 7pm. Obviously it wasn't!!! Still nothing from management. At the end of the day, I ordered a $49.99 platter that never made it to my holiday party, no explanation, no refund. Every person said Groupon causes confusion and that the orders get put in wrong. That's not my fault. Seems like you have training issues. Then... don't... sell... Groupons. I need someone to call me back that can help me resolve this ASAP. read more
