Dr. Marcus is a sarcastic and arrogant doctor who called me " his problem child, Calamity Jane and told me if the bleeding didn't stop from my biopsy we could tie a noose around my neck. He may think he is funny , but since I have a very rare autoimmune disorder, which with ALL his experience has only been seen once in his 44 years of practice, was not a kind or empathetic way to treat a patient. Even his assistant mumbled In under her breath in fear " Here he comes, here he comes..." in fear of him. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable, and the dentists themselves spend plenty of time and attention on you - my dentist patiently explained everything she was doing, why it mattered, what issues I was having, and more - all in a truly kind and compassionate way. She has great attention to detail and makes sure to give you a thorough and complete understanding of your oral health, without any kind of ulterior motive. The downside, a major one, was that I was charged $80 for "Oral Hygiene Instructions". This fee was included in my estimate, but for a sum like that I expected a face to face with Dr. Khoury on how best to care for my teeth moving forward. So I never thought of questioning it. What I received was a plastic bag containing a toothbrush, floss, a small tube of toothpaste, a small bottle of mouthwash and instructions on how to brush my teeth. Exactly what you receive at no charge from any dentist's office upon completion of treatment. That's it. No meeting with Dr. Khoury, just a party gift. Although I disputed the fee, the best they would do is cut it in half. The office manager claimed that it's not against the law for such a fee. But there really is an ethical issue regarding the fairness of it. Especially when one takes into account the considerable expense of scaling and root planing. Do they really need to tack on an additional $80? For no service? Greedy, unethical and callous. Needless to say I won't be returning for any further treatment there.

My son's pediatric dentist, and my own dentist, both recommended Dr. Staller. He and his team were so wonderful during the initial consultation, I knew my son would be in great hands for the surgery, and he was. I don't even have the words to describe how excellent Dr. Staller and his team were. The front office staff and Dr. Staller's nurses were so patient, kind and accommodating, and Dr. Staller was so good to my son, taking every care to keep him comfortable, and explain everything to both of us before, during and after the surgery. He gave us his cell phone number for any after hours concerns (including meeting us at his office if we needed help on Christmas Day, even though the office was closed), and called a few hours after the surgery personally to check on my son, who was doing great. Our experience was incredible, and I highly recommend Dr. Staller and his team for any service they provide.
