The lady at the front desk was extremely pleasant and wonderful in helping me have all of my X-rays and paperwork transferred over from my previous dentist. During my consultation, Dr Rooney knew I was strapped for time, so she actually did the cleaning herself to save me the visit. She was very nice to talk to as well. Hands down Dr. Fava and the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics have some of the best people in the Dentistry field. A little background, over the years I was hard on my front teeth and have experienced a ?few? traumatic episodes in which my real teeth and then dental bridge have been knocked out of my face. The trauma has resulted in the degradation of my remaining teeth that support my then existing dental bridge. Dr. Fava was tasked with removing the damaged teeth and replacing them with implants. I've been going to this dentist for years, & I've had no issues. Recently, I contacted them to…read moreinquire about something to protect my bottom teeth from using a cpap machine. They scheduled an appointment with the regular dentist. I went in & he told me that's not something he could help with. I'd need to see an orthodontist. That was a colossal waste of time, & I don't understand why they scheduled me with a regular dentist. Anyway, I went in to see their orthodontist a week later. He literally looked at my bite for less than 5 minutes, & he told me I'd need Invisalign or braces. I have a slight shift that occurred in one tooth & the rest of my teeth are fine. I'd wear a retainer after the treatment to prevent further shifting. It would cost over $6,000 before insurance. That seems excessive considering I only want to protect my bottom teeth. I paid $44 for the visit. I just got a bill for an additional $167! The whole cost was $311 for a 5 minute consultation along with the scheduler giving me the rundown of costs & options. My cost was $211. It was a complete rip off. I'm disgusted that I had no X-rays & nothing more than a very brief consultation & I'm paying $211. I wish I'd have asked about the cost prior to the consultation, but I never imagined it would be that high for LITERALLY NO TREATMENT. I'm only going to get my regular dental work there going forward.
