His pictures are the perfect touch of candidness and in the moment yet beautifully composed. He gave really good instructions for us modelling newbies which was another concern of mine. But luckily, he knew how to explain poses well and how to direct us and the bridal party. Another thing that I loved about Kelly is that he was willing to take into account the bridal party suggestions and the personality of the bride and groom. I was part of a wedding where the photographer militarily stuck to their planned poses and rejected most suggestions from the bridal party. The photos did not capture the heart of the bride and groom or the bridal party. My friends were incredibly disappointed in that experience. So make sure you find a photographer that you jive with! I also highly recommend spending the extra to do a day-after or engagement shoot with him. We loved our day after pictures and he came up with such brilliant ideas for them. You get more time with Kelly in your respective wedding outfits so the poses and shots get to be more creative. It is wicked fun. Of course he is a bit on the medium-high price range for Edmonton wedding photographers. But for my husband and I that was one area we felt it was okay to spend extra on while cutting costs in other less important areas. The wedding day goes by so fast that many of our friends and family said photography is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning as they will be the ones capturing the memories.
