If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

I cannot say enough about Dr. Michael Bens. From the moment I walked in as a new patient with a…read morebroken tooth,I felt I was in exceptionally capable and caring hands. Dr. Bens is the rare dentist who combines true professionalism with genuine compassion. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, making sure you fully understand your condition and treatment options. There is never any rush, and no question goes unanswered. What truly sets him apart is his level of involvement and advocacy for his patients. He referred me to an excellent endodontist for root canals and personally communicated with the specialist to ensure seamless care. He then referred me to a prosthodontist and went above and beyond--spending time on a phone call and texts coordinating my treatment. Dr. Bens even called me personally afterward to walk me through everything. Most impressively, after reviewing my prosthodontist treatment plan, Dr. Bens took the initiative to speak directly with the prosthodontist. That kind of dedication is extraordinary. He also took the time to carefully explain why the treatment was necessary and why the original cost was so high, which I truly appreciated. Dr. Bens is not only highly skilled but deeply invested in his patients' well-being. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking outstanding dental care.

I did alot of research on dentists in Atlanta, namely those with reviews and experience treating patients like myself. I just had my first full visit at Dr Bens (cleaning &xrays) and what an amazing experience. Kendra was aware of my phobia and handled me with care from the moment I poked my head in the door. She explained every thing she was going to do and walked me thru what was a very comfortable cleaning. She didn't make me feel embarrassed about my phobia, but she made me feel empowered by not moving any faster than I was comfortable. So I felt in control. The environment is beautiful. The other staff members I met were very friendly. Dr B is phenomenal and has great quick wit. Thanks guys.....You're A+ all the way.

The dentist seemed rushed and didn't take the time to explain my treatment options clearly. Additionally, I was overcharged for a service that my insurance was supposed to cover, and getting a refund has been a hassle. I expected better professionalism and care, but unfortunately, I won't be returning. I hope they improve their customer service and communication in the future.

In January, I called repeatedly to schedule an appointment and left VMs (during working hours). When I finally got an assistant on the phone, she told me she had not got my VMs, but she told me they were shortstaffed (which would appear to make the case for an automated appointment system). I finally had an appointment on a Monday. Coming out of a work trip the week prior I got a URI traveling back on Friday, and called over the weekend to let them know of my URI and my inability to make my appointment. I woke up Monday to several missed calls about my "missing the appointment". I called immediately, indicated I left a VM and was out sick, but was rudely treated on the phone, told they didn't receive my VM, and then sent a bill for $100 for a missed appointment - while I was OOO for 3 days ill that week. If they had a proper online system, I could have rescheduled immediately on Saturday. And I have repeatedly had to follow up to VMs - which are untraceable. The doctor is inaccessible and apparently incapable of managing a professional office. Needless to say, I will fighting the $100, given I have iphone records of my phone calls, and will be switching dentists to one who makes it easy to coordinate with them.

I'm sharing this review with the hope that it brings more transparency and training to this…read morepractice's approach and serves as a heads-up to first-time patients. During my first visit, I expected a routine cleaning, as is standard at most dental offices. Instead, I paid around $100 for x-rays and a session where the dentist briefly brushed and flossed my teeth, demonstrated a new flossing technique focused on gum health, and measured gum pocket depth. I was then told to follow this routine at home and return in six weeks to assess any changes--no cleaning was performed at that first visit. At the follow-up appointment, I was seen by a different dental hygienist whose overly cheerful and rehearsed demeanor felt disingenuous. While she wasn't overtly rude, the interaction felt hollow and uncomfortable, which added to my unease. During the cleaning, she made a snide comment about my dental habits and then completed the rest of the procedure without much communication. I also noticed an unpleasant personal odor, which was surprising and concerning given the setting. Hygiene and professionalism are especially important in a dental care environment, and this contributed to a sense that standards were not being met. Unfortunately, during this visit, I believe the hygienist injured my gums multiple times due to a careless approach in handling sharp instruments. One area in particular has remained inflamed and possibly infected ever since. There was no review or inspection with the dentist afterward, which I had expected based on past experiences at other dental offices. As I was walked to the checkout counter, the hygienist casually mentioned that I "might need antibiotics" in six months if the issue with my gums didn't resolve -- an issue I am not sure I had walking in to this appointment. I never saw the dentist again during that visit, and no additional guidance or follow-up was provided beyond the flossing and brushing routine recommended weeks earlier. This entire experience left me shaken and disappointed. I have no history of gum issues or needing oral antibiotics, and this visit left me worse off than when I arrived. I haven't felt comfortable speaking up, but I'm sharing this because no one should leave a dental visit with lingering pain or uncertainty about the care they received. I genuinely hope this office takes the opportunity to improve how it communicates services upfront and invests in better training for staff--especially when it comes to patient care, professionalism, and technique. Patients deserve clear communication and quality care that prioritizes their well-being and comfort.
