I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. Dr. Bens is the rare dentist who combines true professionalism with genuine compassion. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, making sure you fully understand your condition and treatment options. There is never any rush, and no question goes unanswered. He referred me to an excellent endodontist for root canals and personally communicated with the specialist to ensure seamless care. He then referred me to a prosthodontist and went above and beyond--spending time on a phone call and texts coordinating my treatment. Dr. Bens even called me personally afterward to walk me through everything. Most impressively, after reviewing my prosthodontist treatment plan, Dr. Bens took the initiative to speak directly with the prosthodontist. That kind of dedication is extraordinary. The dentist seemed rushed and didn't take the time to explain my treatment options clearly. I called immediately, indicated I left a VM and was out sick, but was rudely treated on the phone, told they didn't receive my VM, and then sent a bill for $100 for a missed appointment - while I was OOO for 3 days ill that week. If they had a proper online system, I could have rescheduled immediately on Saturday. And I have repeatedly had to follow up to VMs - which are untraceable. The doctor is inaccessible and apparently incapable of managing a professional office. Needless to say, I will fighting the $100, given I have iphone records of my phone calls, and will be switching dentists to one who makes it easy to coordinate with them.
