I have been at another facility in the Appleton area and was very disappointed with the care the food the rooms I've also been a facilities in other states unfortunately And none of them have been as good as Brewster Village. The care is top notch. The people are very kind very friendly. The food is above average, especially for a facility such as this. I was at one facility in Florida and could not eat any of the food. It was so bad. They really care about their patients here if I ever have to be at a place which I hope I never ever ever have to come again I would come here.

Although they state that their goal is to help find "good" places for elderly to live, the fact that they do not know the elderly they are "helping," and are very happy to facilitate their being moved around out of their familiar surroundings (without any concern that doing so can create confusion and anxiety for already-vulnerable people) illustrates the fallacy of that claim. Doing what really serves others is never easy; however, there are resources that can help you really find the appropriate questions and things that need to be considered to help elderly relatives without reverting to using uncaring strangers whose major goal is to serve as marketing voices for elderly facilities and who neither know nor care what the true needs of the individuals (as opposed to the business-minded facilities) are.

Our mother took a precipitous drop in her health two weeks ago. We contacted the HCA office as one of the providers we would consider for her hospice care. When we met with Alyse to both interview her and get a feel for how the organization does business, we were unanimous that HCA was the care provider we wanted for our mother. The office and in person experience was excellent. As to communication and care, I cannot say enough about the professionalism, compassion and consideration of both Alyse and our caregiver, Melissa. In the midst of a very difficult time and circumstance, they both elevated the level beyond the expectations of our family. Sadly, our mother died shortly after care was provided, but it was gratifying to have stellar care during her last days. Thank you so much for helping us and lovingly serving our mother.
