She said she could not accept the return bc it is a different season now and I should know better because she is a small business owner. She loudly scolded me while in front of another patron. I was embarrassed and shocked to be treated so poorly. She finally agreed to a full exchange of the outfit after I told her I was an out of towner and did not have a chance to travel an hour to the store until then, but again scolded me saying next time I should mail it back if I needed to return or exchange. She did note that she shouldn't be giving me a full refund, but only a half refund because she has to sell it at half price now. Now I completely prefer to shop and support small local businesses, but because of her incredibly rude behavior to me, I will never shop there again. Nor will I recommend this shop. I would have completely understood and wouldn't be writing this if the owner had been nicer explaining everything to me, but her harsh and condescending tone and the way she went about this is unacceptable for treating a new potential customer.

If you don't want to work in the service world and deal with paying patrons...just quit anyways, i still drove from welfleet to get a bag so i was going to settle with something. when i finally made my selection i asked the person checking me out if they could monogram my bag as there was no signage saying they couldn't today. She asked the same employee from prior and they basically said they couldn't as they didn't have anybody who could do it as the person is only in from 9-2. Honestly it's not that part that makes me mad...it's just the part they had nothing on their website or in store that says that...would have saved me the trip and the hostile environment. Also... from one person in the service world to another... customers are the only reason you're in business. people...especially during your tourist season are willing to pay for anything....
