First, even though the tree was partially uprooted, there was no urgency. Second, for a week prior there was no communication. I found out late last week that they would be there Monday. On Monday, I woke up to a mess. 10 people standing in the yard making an absolute mess. Chad, the foreman was condescending and a jerk when I asked what was going on. At any rate, they showed no care and tried to do as little as possible. They left the property looking significantly worse than when they came. There is debris everywhere and now the HOA is bringing a second company in. NEVER HIRE LUCAS. Bad business, Worse business owners. No communication and they just don't care.

Daniel demonstrated professionalism from the start by coming out on a Sunday and providing a thorough, itemized estimate--something I had to request from the others, and two didn't provide at all. What really set them apart, though, was the team itself. This might not matter to everyone but I was genuinely impressed by how seamlessly they worked together and the level of respect they showed one another. You don't often see that kind of communication and teamwork amongst a group of men. It says a lot about Daniel, his team, and the company. The crew operated with precision, care, and strong communication. Their attention to detail was evident in how they protected the property and executed the job. They were meticulous in every way. They took extra care to protect my yard (and my grass isn't even great to begin with). The way they worked together to keep debris out of my pool was incredibly impressive--they had a well-coordinated strategy in place that clearly worked. Honestly, I didn't think it would be possible, especially with how windy it was, but when they finished, my pool looked just as clean as it did when they arrived. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I'm beyond impressed and so glad I waited for his quote. If you're deciding--this is your sign. Hire them. You won't regret it.

Reggie greeted us with a firm handshake and took the time to clearly explain the entire process before they began. They removed our tall pine and trimmed the large oak in our front yard with care and precision. The price quoted was fair for the amount and quality of work completed, which gave us added peace of mind. My husband is blind, and I mentioned a small tree that had recently sprouted and caused him to trip. Without hesitation, Reggie removed it. When a paver was accidentally broken, he replaced it. One of his team members even helped level several uneven pavers that had shifted due to oak roots, making the area safer for us. Their attention to detail, integrity, and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Blue Ox Expert Tree Service delivers excellent work with heart. I would confidently recommend them to anyone and will absolutely use them again in the future.

If you're looking for a landscaping company that's knowledgeable, professional, communicative, and…read moretruly cares about your vision, look no further than J&R Total Landscaping. We recently hired Jahdiel and his team to install a gravel driveway and privacy trees in our medium-sized front yard. After reaching out to three companies, Jahdiel stood out immediately, not just because his pricing was fair and competitive, but because he took the time to really listen to what we wanted and gave us information that no other company had shared. Originally, we were set on planting Japanese Blueberry trees, but Jahdiel came out, looked at our space, and explained that because of the narrow area along our driveway, the tree roots could eventually damage the pavement. We had no idea and none of the other companies mentioned it! That honest advice sealed the deal, he was hired on the spot. We told him we wanted an evergreen, low-maintenance, hardy privacy screen, and he recommended Oak Leaf Hollies. He explained everything about their growth habits, care needs, and even discussed realistic timelines for how long it would take to get that lush natural fence we envisioned. Jahdiel is all about managing expectations and empowering clients with knowledge to make informed decisions. The process took just over a month due to the city-call before you dig (we have a utility pole and storm drain on our property), but Jahdiel stayed in touch with weekly updates. He even sent us a video of the trees he hand-picked and photos of the gravel before installation. That level of communication and transparency was reassuring. His attention to detail didn't stop there--he and his team remembered we wanted to keep the 30-gallon tree pots and the dirt they removed (for our garden), and made sure we got them. Jahdiel was also flexible when we asked to adjust the tree layout and add things like rock glue for extra stability. Everyone on his crew was hardworking, friendly, and professional. The final result looks beautiful, and we already have another project in mind, so yes, we're hiring his team again! J&R Total Landscaping not only does a beautiful job mowing lawns and maintaining yards, they also help you create a vision for your outdoor space. Whether you're keeping things simple or planning a bigger transformation like we did, they will walk you through every step with care, professionalism, and insight. Highly recommend!
