My husband and I came here for lunch and I had the Santa Barbara burger- 2 patties, cheese, bacon, avocado, the works, and the dressing on it was extremely flavorful! I really want to go back!!!

Due to COVID I've noticed a lot of restaurants food quality have taken a nose dive, and have raised prices too! It makes me sad because I want to help their business by eating there, but when prices go up and quality go down, I just can't do it. Well Eddie's grill is doing it right! They shrunk their menu down a lot, (which I'm bummed about because I wanted a sandwich or a wrap) but my bummed-ness soon went away after tasting their food. They are smart by decreasing their menu offerings so that they can concentrate on a handful of items and keep them top notch quality! Had the chicken burger and fries. Soft brioche delish bun, super fresh and quality onions lettuce and tomato, and a nice crispy (says spicy but it's mild) chicken tender ($6.65) Crispy seasoned thin fries ($2.50) mmm. Their prices CANNOT be beat!!! Wish they were open on Sunday's cause that's when I like to get take out! Please make sure you check out eddies grill, it's a really good place I would hate to see go out of business!

Been here a few times, and Eddie's is consistently solid--I wish it were called chateau du burguer or something, because the burgers always taste like a dreamy cafe burger. But Eddie's will do! Friendly service and good price!

Chicken ciabatta special ... it wasn't special at all

I have never seen a thinner, smaller chicken breast in my life. I went to Eddies for a quick lunch and they had a chicken ciabatta sandwich special. The ciabatta was so thick and the chicken so thin I couldn't even taste it the chicken. It was too bad b/c I like Eddies.

This was the first place I stopped in SLO for food after freshly arriving from my trip from Santa Barbara, and it was convenient because it was on the road to where I was staying that night. The menu is a great selection of sandwiches and wraps to choose from, and I decided to get the Chx Ceasar Wrap and, as the guy suggested, I get a side of fries, which was an extra 3.25 or something like that. This is where they lose a star, because the guy totally upcharged and upsold. I didn't know the wrap came with chips, that would have been fine as a side, but the guy was like, get a side that way you have more fries to eat. So I was like alright, why not. Then I get the portion, and it's a massive amount of fries. To go with a massive wrap. Which boosts the stars to 3 cause the wrap was good, not fantastic just alright but, that was an upsell I did not need. Other then that, nothing to write home about. Good prices, decent selection, but staff their can work on their customer service abilities. 3 stars.

This place is a gem. The food here is incredibly consistent and the quality is LEVELS above the price point. As most experienced veteran SLO diners are aware, the food around here ain't always consistent, and it ain't always good. We are constantly dealing with restaurants opening up with a bang, realizing they can't turn a profit, cutting corners, and of course the inevitable demise resulting in yet another empty restaurant space. THIS PLACE IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF ALL OF THOSE THINGS. They have kept their food top notch since day one and the price point is absurdly low/reasonable. Can't go wrong with the chicken strips. Can't go wrong with the burger selection. They will also lettuce wrap their burgers for those health conscious eaters. The specials are always a hit. Be on the look out for the California wrap which is a burrito of sorts stuffed with tri tip and fries! I would go as far as to say this is the best lunch spot in town, especially when you factor in bang for your buck. Give Eddie's a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Tip on a great patty. Do not go to Eddies Grill in SLO. Very sad with this patty melt from Eddie's. . Most places in the USA grill them
Wade W.

Picked up patty melt to go. Got home to find Eddie's Grill's version spends very little time on the grill.

I ordered a simple turkey sandwich on a sourdough roll with chipotle mayo, mustard, onion, etc. Do not let the simplicity of this order fool you. This was genuinely the best sandwich I have ever tasted in my entire life. Every ingredient stayed perfectly in place when going for a bite, they didn't skimp out on the amount of turkey, and the roll was toasted to absolute perfection. The crew at this shop is NOT messing around. With every bite, we thought of what diction we could use for this review to describe it. I could go on and on about how magical this sandwich was, but I urge you to go try it for yourself. Thank you High Street Deli staff for making our day!

After 4 PM, they offer the "420 Special," which makes their sandwiches only $9. They also have online ordering, which I attempted to use, but they had already reached their limit for online orders because they were so busy. And after visiting, I can see why! Despite the crowd, they've perfected their sandwich ordering system, it's super efficient. When you walk in, you fill out a small paper checklist with your order and hand it to one of the employees at the register. They submit your order, you pay, and then wait for your sandwich. Expect at least a 25-minute wait, especially during busy hours. I tried the Tropical Vacation sandwich: smoked turkey, jalapeño havarti, "the works," romaine, sprouts, avocado, honey mustard, cranberry sauce, and sliced sourdough. I swapped the sourdough for Dutch Crunch bread, and it was PERFECT. It was the thickest, juiciest, and most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. I'll be dreaming about it until I can have it again. The pictures truly don't do these sandwiches justice, they were massive. I also tried the Spring Club sandwich. It was just as thick and delicious, though not quite as juicy as the Tropical Vacation. Honestly, I want to try ALL of their sandwiches because I have no doubt they're all amazing. The shop itself is super cute with a vintage feel, and they also offer a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

Here is what we noticed: - You order at the front door and then pay at the counter. There is a little store with gifts, etc., that you can browse while you're waiting. - There's a great amount of outdoor seating in a large spacious patio. - The breakfast menu is more limited as this is primarily a sandwich shop it appears, but we found a few items that were appealing. My wife and I split the Almost Famous Burrito and the Walk of Shame Breakfast Sandwich. Both were really good! The burrito wasn't especially huge but it was very tasty and I liked that it had been fried on the grill. The sauce on the Walk of Shame sandwich wad awesome. Bottom line: We would go back again for breakfast and would also like to try one of their lunch sandwiches sometime.

I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and added avocado. It was a little pricey but also half was good for one meal and the other half for another meal later on. They flatten the burrito, panini style, but that just gives the tortilla flavor and makes it a little easier to bite into. Fresh ingredients and almost a balanced bite each time. If there had been more sauce or the bacon spread out more, then this would be a 5 star review. Perfect when you got everything in a bite but lacking something when you didn't. Still one of the best burritos i have had recently. I highly recommend you try them out!

We ordered the famous tri-tip sandwich, the Firebird, and a half-and-half basket of fries and onion rings. To be honest, we were both a little disappointed by the tri-tip sandwich. They give you a generous amount of meat, but the flavor was milder than expected, and the meat itself was slightly tough, which made the sandwich less enjoyable overall. The Firebird, on the other hand, was unexpectedly delicious. It is basically two chicken tenders in sandwich form, but the fresh toppings and Thousand Island dressing brought everything together perfectly. The true star, though, was the fries and onion rings. Seriously, just get them. We had not planned to order them, but the cashier convinced us and guaranteed we would not regret it--and he was absolutely right. The fries were definitely on the salty side, but in the best possible way. The onion rings were my personal favorite and easily the winner of the meal. This was actually pretty shameless and all you had to do was order one other site item that totaled two dollars and you got a sandwich for It turns out I was ordering before the store opened so I was automatically given a pick up time of half an hour after they opened for the day. I went with a simple tuna fish sandwich on their small sub. The app did not let me know when my sandwich was ready, but I did arrive a few minutes early, and it was all ready to go. I was met by the smiling face of the single employee in the restaurant. My sandwich was already bagged. My name was on it and my chips and extra napkins were inside already. The store was very clean and organized, and I seemed to be the first customer of the day. The sandwich itself was very good. It had a generous amount of filling and was served as represented on the menu. I will have to try Capriotti's again to try a different type of sandwich as I think it's unfair to judge an entire restaurant by a tuna fish sandwich. However, everything was as advertised and I can confidently give this location a thumbs up.

The exterior is definitely unassuming to say the least, I mean it is a functioning liquor store next to a public park. Once inside, you'll see everything you'd see in a 7/11, but with a much more quality selection of liquor. If I'm looking for a bottle of high-quality bourbon or whiskey, I'll certainly come here next time. But I scooted past that vast selection, because 1) it was lunchtime and 2) I was looking for food. =) I ordered a Mediterranean wrap and a Gyro pita from the little counter in the middle of the shop. I chatted a little with the chef, who was super sweet and helpful to pack my order with sauces on the side so nothing would get soggy before we ate it. Within a few minutes, everything was packed and ready, I paid with credit card and left for our road trip adventure. When we opened the lunch pack, we were greeted by amazing smells and great tastes! In addition to the beer, they have a deli where you can order everything from sandwiches and gyros to burritos and schwarma. Serious! The sandwich I had from here was okay, not amazing. Vacation Spot - Sort Of - Inside SLO…read more.... My wife and I visited SLO Ranch when it first opened in 2023 and found an interesting mix of shops, but not many customers. We returned during the week between Christmas and New Year's 2025 to discover the buildings and tenants were changed, but the overall impression was very good. Pros: - The mini farm: There are several corrals each with shelters, food troughs and water sources. Everything is well maintained. Two have a total of about 10 goats and one has 2 alpacas and 2 donkeys. It's not quite a petting zoo because you can't go into the corrals, but they can be fed through the fencing with food bought in a shop. They all seemed quite content. - The shops: SLO Ranch is not big, but it does have a nice selection of stores and restaurants. Everything was bright and fresh with friendly employees. - Specialty Food Shops: We walked into cheese and chocolate shops which were very appealing, great looking and reasonably priced. - Ambiance: Welcoming. There are lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Cons: - Restaurants: The quality might be good, but the variety is small. We saw a brewery, pizza place, Persian food, bakery (open only Friday-Sunday) and shops with biscuits and ice cream. The best looking place might be Lucy's Coffee which has a fairly big menu and lots of customers. - Parking: Okay on slow days, but the overflow must use a dirt lot. We didn't see a ton of people, but cars were already filling the lot. For us, the biggest draws were the animals, inviting shops and nice atmosphere.
