I also have a friend who switched to Ms. Aimee's class after some unpleasant experience with too strict ballet teachers. We both appreciate that Ms. Aimee make ballet class a beautiful but not rigid experience for kids. One time I heard Ms. Aimee talking to kids when they were stretching together in class. She told them that everyone's body is different. Some people are more flexible than others, but it's not that only flexible people can become dancers. She said she knew dancers who are not naturally flexible but they put in effort to be able to dance the way they want to. I just think it's great that my girl is receiving this kind of messages from her teacher. To me it's so much more important than how many dance moves she can repeat at the age of 4 or 5.

My second time here at Occidental College. This time it was for my niece's high school…read moregraduation... Class of 2025. Street parking nearby this college was all taken up so I had to park a bit further which wasn't too bad actually. It still took me about 10 mins to walk in. This time around I took a short cut by walking through the campus than walking around the campus like last time to get to the amphitheater where the graduation took place. By doing so, I got a chance to see a bit more of the campus. It's quite serene and quiet. This college was built on a hill for sure. Lots of uphill. If there's uphill, then there is downhill. It all balances out. I don't know if I'll be returning to this college any time soon since both my younger brother's kids have graduated from high school. Nevertheless, I was able to capture some new photos from my recent visit. Enjoy them! I am very proud of my niece for her accomplishments. I wish her all the very best in her next chapters in life.
