They allowed us to visit and sample all limos prior to booking, they were gracious, patient, helpful and accommodating. Mason the person who greeted us and showed us the vehicles was wonderful! We requested that he'd be the person to drive us on the event date, and he did not disappoint. The sprinter we rented was immaculate with ice and champagne glasses (served sparkling cider to my teen and his friends), water on ice, a killer sound system & a very cool light show. I have called a few other limos services, JMI stood out not only for their best pricing, but also their superb communication and customer service. I have never seen my son happier! The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. The older I get the less I want to drive especially after dark during these cold, wet months. I grew up in Boston where using public transportation is the norm. Trimet used to be absolutely terrible and in many ways they are still not all that great. Two snowflakes sends the entire system into chaos. It's common to be on a bus and get kicked off to another bus for no apparent reason. And the bus you are waiting for will show up and immediately change signs for some other route. In most cities, this NEVER happens. You stand at an intersection easy walking distance from your home and in ten minutes or less a bus comes along. The bus takes you to a subway stop or a bus terminal where you can transfer to your final destination. Routes are laid out in a logical order and you don't have to study a map to figure out what bus to take to get where you're going. Trimet routes appear to be laid out by lunatics who were way too free with drug use. Getting back to WES and the Tigard TC. Nice terminal. It's open air so not that pleasant if it's really cold out. But at least it's a shelter. The WES train is pretty noisy but comfortable and FAST! Under 15 minutes to get to my destination. Would have taken over an hour going by bus. WES runs fairly frequently. I wish it didn't stop running to Beaverton so early but it is what it is. Ridership isn't that great so that route is probably a money loser. I'm happy that Trimet is finally upping their game. There's still the obligatory mentally ill rider on every bus and train so they have more work to do there. And there was some aggressive antifa type swinging around numchuks in a threatening manner at the Sunset TC so your personal safety is still a serious concern. But I'm seeing more security and fare inspectors so at least Trimet is trying.

Normally if PCC was in service there will be a lot of students here. Other than that it's the commuters that want to leave their car at home that use this station. Back when I lived in Oregon, this was the go to place to ride the train. I didn't live far from here and just walked over to the station. When I went to transit center there was some security or Trimet Police that dropped by but they rarely show up to the area. I would not return to this station because it's much nicer in Tualatin. Drawback: Better hurry up because parking in this area can be really terrible. They will fill up before 8:30am so it's better to catch the 78 or 76 here.

First, the driver takes you through downtown to see the Pioneer Courthouse Square tree, then by Directors park and onto I-5 to get headed to the PIR. Choosing the 6 pm trolley meant getting stuck in rush hour traffic. Luckily, we didn't have to cross the bridge and made it in time at PIR to slowly take in all the lovely Christmas lights. In the beginning, we couldn't figure out some of the light structures, until a couple seated in front of us got it and started singing "The 12 days of Christmas". Then the a Partridge in a Pear Tree, Two Turtle Doves, Three French Hens, 4 Calling Birds, 5 Gold Rings, 6 Geese a-Laying, 7 Swans a-Swimming, 8 Maids a-Milking, 9 Ladies Dancing, 10 Lords a-Leaping, 11 Pipers Piping & 12 Drummers Drumming all made sense! There was one odd part. It was the numerous palm trees at the beginning and dinosaurs at the end that didn't feel very Christmasy. But - that has nothing to do with the Trolley company. Our driver gave highlights, but the back of the trolley was noisy, so we couldn't hear him very well. It was adorable when he gave one of the kids a bucket of candy canes to pass out to everyone. The whole tour only lasted 90 minutes, so we were glad to have gotten a discounted ticket for $30. The one thing we forgot to do was bring cash to tip our driver and we felt awful about it. He was nice and informative and deserving. We are a group of credit card people, always trying to earn air miles, but if we had the extra cash, we would have given it to him. This was definitely something festive that I am really glad we did and glad my friends came along for the ride!

Since we had multiple stops and there were 15 of us including 3 toddlers, it would have been a huge hassle to call so many Ubers/Lyfts. Not to mention all the heavy car seats that we would have had to carry with us to each location. My solution: renting a private bus! I reached out to multiple shuttle companies, but Shanghai really stood out to me. Dusty responded almost immediately and was very helpful in providing details about their pricing and buses. While my main goal was really just to safely and efficiently get my group to the various spots, it was a plus that Shanghai's bus also included a karaoke machine. Once we decided on the terms and details, Dusty sent over a contract within the next few days. The morning of our ride, Dusty texted to let me know our bus was on the way. Our driver, Ron, arrived a few minutes early, so by our reservation start time, we were all set to go. He was professional, kind and drove cautiously. As it was raining, I appreciated that he dropped us off as close as he safely could at each location, and then picked us back up when we were ready to continue to the next spot. The cooler was also stocked with ice, as promised. We ended up riding the Solid Gold bus, which is literally a converted school bus. I must admit this was very different from our typical sprinter party bus experience. For one, I had never ridden a party bus with kids before, and blasting "Wheels On The Bus" instead of dance music was such a different vibe. Lol! The bus was unique and had a vintage feel -- very Portland. Given our situation, I actually preferred this over the dark, tinted windows of the sprinters we are used to. The Solid Gold allowed us to see the city during our rides. We got a lot of stares every time we pulled up to a donut shop or brewery, but it was a fun experience. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids who now point out every bus that passes by on the street and say they want to go back to the party bus!
