Rude treatment. Not recommended at all. I went to swap my snow tires on saturday morning @ 09:30 am. The supervisor told me to come back on Monday morning @ 08:00 am sharp to do them. I was there on Monday at 08:00 am then he said no come again on another day plus asked me not to argue even though I am a customer at this place and used to do oil change for my both vehicles !!! Avoid this place! They are constantly on the upsell -- oil spray, tire replacement, anything they can come up with to take more money out of your wallet. I went in for an oil change and they talked me into a front and rear differential fluid change on a car with 23K on it. They claimed it was required maintenance, pointed to something on their computer screen. I was certain that wasn't correct but had other distractions and got browbeaten into it. I checked later and found it isn't recommended for this vehicle until 100K. read more

I took my car in to have the brakes replaced. Since it was the end of the day, they said they would keep my car in the shop on the hoist to begin service first thing in the morning. When I picked up the car the next day, my vehicle had been rifled through, sunglasses and phone charging cord stolen with all my belongings from the trunk thrown on the back seat. I know there's more missing but I'm too pissed off to even try to account for my and my family's belongings. They are literal thieves. I have zero interest in assessing their work which I'm terrified to check because if they obviously don't care about this blatant breach of trust, how could they possibly be attentive safe and thorough work. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I was forced to bring the work vehicle here as I was directed to do so by the employer. This car only needed one tire to be resealed and the brakes down (front and back). Instead they changed all 4 tires which were only about 8 months old saying they were all bad which they weren't. I'm sure one of them took those tires home with them which were like new. They also did not fill the new tires up appropriately. All tires when I got home were about 20psi when they should have been 35psi. Brakes: They only changed the fronts when both needed to be changed. The customer service was awful and they guy was so arrogant but obviously had no idea what he was doing. We brought our car in for an oil change, when my husband was working in Guelph. Three days later it broke down in London and I had to get it towed to my mechanic. Mechanic says the oil flter wasn't installed properly, we lost all but half a litre of oil, now the engine needs to be replaced. Manager at Economy Lube says we need to tow the car to him so they can have their mechanic look at it. We tow it, ($300) the staff are extremely rude, one of the staff members (Ryan) says the car was a piece of shit in the first place. At this point they tell us no mechanic is going to look at the car, it's fine to drive back to london. Car breaks down on the 401, we manage to get it to a parking lot, where it needs to be towed again. So now the engine needs to be replace, my husband and I are both Missing 3 days of work, and we are out $600 for the there tows. read more

My $20.00 dollar oil change grew to $40.00 if I loved my car. He made me feel like if I got the $20.00 dollar oil change I would hurt engine. Just moved to Guelph and needed an oil change. Saw the sign for $19.99 and stopped in. Spoke to Dillon who told me and then showed me that the car takes synthetic not regular oil. Said it was on sale for $39.99. Took the car right in and showed me the car fax info as I had just purchased the car used 3 months earlier. Said the person who had it before looked after it and that it didn't need anything. He then informed me that the car was 9 years old, a Mazda and that it needed rust protection and did the oil change and oil spray for around $100.00. I got it done because I like the car and wanted to keep it for a while. I asked him about tire quality and he was very forthcoming with information that I knew and informed me of who makes what now. Never felt any pressure to get anything and he even told me he would do the cheaper oil change if I really wanted but that the manufacturer recommends synthetic. He suggested options down the road at 20,000 klms later as precautionary. I left knowing that I would return in the future because of his attention to details about my car. Thanks read more

The $19.99 "basic" oil change comes to $25.98 with tax and other add-ons. They basically told me they'd put in a winter-weight (10W30) oil for that price (this is on a July day when the temp is above 30C). If I wanted a summer-weight (5W20) oil I'd have to "upgrade" to the $29.99 version. No doubt they run the same scam in reverse during the winter!! Take you car somewhere else! If you insist on going here, google them online first to print off a $5 coupon. read more

Completely untrustworthy!! 2 years ago I went in for transmission fluid. I went back about 2 months ago for an oil change and he tried to sell me transmission fluid. When I told him they had done it not even 2 years ago he replied with "No, it doesn't look like the fluid has ever been changed" so I showed him the receipt which was still in my glove box and his reply was "well I mean you should be getting it done every 2 years." I've owned many cars and have 2 family members that work at dealerships. Never have I had to change transmission fluid. When I asked since he said 'it's never been changed' but I have the receipt does that mean they didn't change it when I paid for it he danced around it trying to sell me on changing other fluids. I also asked why they are opening every nozzle on my car to check liquids when all I asked for was an oil change and he said that it's procedure. Do not go here! $70 for a standard oil change and you will have to say no to 10 different fluids as well as be treated like you are dumb. This place is run by 20-something kids that will overcharge you for anything they can. My car also now makes a squeaking noise after I was last there. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more
